  1. Does anyone else find the Palace of Kings - the seat of power for the Stormcloak Uprising, the hall of the greatest Nord hero to ever live, one of the oldest structures in all of Skyrim - completely, soul-crushingly, and utterly boring? The place is bland. Empty. It's dirty, crude, insignificant - call it what you like. It needs to be fixed. Specifically, it needs an expansion. More rooms, more items, more places to explore. A separate wing for the jarl. A big balcony. Full armories. IT NEEDS TO BE A PALACE OF KINGS. So? Anyone up for it? In my mind, it'd be done by jkrojmal, author of the JK city overhauls, or by iWilliBlecha, author of the Real Warmaiden's. I hope someone can do this. It'd be great.
  2. Okay, fine... So a few mods like this already exist. So what? I'm picky. It's a simple one anyway. What I want is for you to be able to activate a dead body - perhaps with a hotkey - the screen goes black, a message tells you an hour has passed and the body is gone. For good. No fancy tombstones or the like. Like I said: simple...
  3. Earlier today, I realized something, and it was this: I don't think I've ever seen an NPC mounted on a horse in Skyrim before, other than Tullius and the Imperials at the beginning. So, I began to wonder if it would possible to allow certain NPCs - namely couriers, soldiers and the lot - to use mounts. I do realize that the popular follower mods allow followers to have horses, but I want something beyond that.
  4. I'm fairly certain similar mods have been made to make dungeons and caves darker overall, but this mod should aim to fix the light sources themselves. In nearly every dungeon or cave you come across in Skyrim, there are torch sconces, braziers, candles, etc. and they are always - without fail - lit. This mod should give now torches a purpose, so that when you enter caves, all fires will be unlit - you have to light them yourself. After leaving the cave, the lights will not remain lit. Campfires, like the one used by the bandits in Bleak Falls, should be excluded.
  5. I thought as much about slavery, but I agree improvement should be small, and there should be as much compatibility as possible.
  6. Actual improvements to the city should probably be very slight, things like newer banners, stuff like that.
  7. I know similar mods have been made in the past, but this one ought to be much more in-depth. If the Battle for Whiterun is being completed for the Imperials, there will be no change to the ending where Balgruuf gives his speech. If you're completing it for the Stormcloaks however, the final confrontation scene after the battle will be reworked, allowing for you to negotiate between Vignar and Balgruuf. The new dialogue will allow Balgruuf to remain Jarl so long as he pledges allegiance to Ulfric, or Vignar and his court can take over instead, as previously intended. After reporting the victory at Whiterun to either Tullius or Ulfric, a courier will confront you with a letter from the Jarl of Whiterun, which requests your assistance back at the city. Speaking with the Jarl begins a quest to start rebuilding the city. The mission will have you travel to mills to purchase sawn logs and quarried stone for the repairs (Hearthfire installation requirement should be configurable, if possible) and carrying messages and supplies around the city and Skyrim, as well as contributing in smaller ways, such as cutting firewood and donating coin. The quest should not only see the rebuilding of the city after its destruction, but also its improvement - better walls and towers, roads, banners, market stalls, etc. Throughout the quest, residents of Whiterun will be seen in the streets and around the walls, working to clear debris and repair the city. Extra NPCs could added, such as 'Hired Workers', 'Slaves', and such, and progression into repairs and improvement throughout the quest should be visible Following the completion of the repairs, all the residents of Whiterun will be gathered to hear a speech from the Jarl, who will commend the Dragonborn and all the citizens of Whiterun for their hard work and commitment, and then rededicate the city. If Vignar is chosen to become the new Jarl, the quest will act as reinstatement to the position of Thane; if Balgruuf stays, reinstatement will not be required. Since I know next to nothing about creating mods for Skyrim, or any game, really, I don't know how big of a task this mod would be, but I would love to see this come to life. Thanks!
