  1. I'm using Nexus Mod Manager Community Edition and it has worked flawlessly for me thus far. At the bottom right of the NMM are listed these numbers: Total Plugins: 255 / Active Plugins: 220 (251) / Total Mods: 252 / Installed Mods: 252 / Active Mods: 252 As stated by previous members, the limit I should look for in order not to exceed it is Active Plugins. But I'm puzzled because it states 220 active plugins but there's 251 in brackets just besides... Can someone clue me in as which of the two is the right number?
  2. Okay, but why is my number of active plugins shows 219 with 251 in brackets? Which one represents the limits not to exceed? Thanks!
  3. I'm using Nexus Mod Manager Community Edition and I never ran into the mod limit, until today. Now I know the limit is 255 mods, but elsewhere on the interwebs it says 255 plugins. I've looked at the bottom right of NMM, and here's what I have: Total plugins: 254 / Active plugins: 219 (251) / Total mods: 255 / Active mods: 255 I'd just like to have a better understanding about the limit and what numbers above should I check in order not to overpass the mod limit (which I know is hardwired into the game). Thanks!
  4. [i know, just the perpetual victimhood really annoys me sometimes.] Clearly, you have a rather poor understanding of the word victimhood (you are what? 15?). If OP was constantly complaining on these forums I'd probably give validity to your claim, but it's not the case at all. He's only made one statement regarding rules that are not applied to everyone. So, stop being this dense. Or stay that way. Pick one.
  5. It's certainly not because I laugh that it's funny.
  6. Others haven't been caught. Ha ha. Bullocks. Just use the keywords of popular games made by other companies and you'll get scores of mods using ripped assets. It's as easy peasy as that. It's not like the mods are hard to find. ["I got caught stealing and got arrested, but my cousin didn't get caught and arrested, so why am I going to jail when he's not?" is a stupid argument.] What kind of half-baked arguments is that? Try to squeeze your head with a more similar comparison: My cousin and I stole from a store, we left together with our hands full with no receipt, the police saw that we both stole but they only arrested me. Copyrighted assets, source notwithstanding, are copyrighted assets. Easy to find, easy to delete. It's not that the Nexus can't see those mods, they're simply like the cops who let thieves pass under their nose without doing anything. Damn, are you this dense for real not to understand this elementary school level concept?
  7. Welcome to this episode of "Missing the point", with our special guest; Old hand. The point of FullMetalMadcat's intervention is that if he used other people's art, in this case vintage Playboy covers, and his mod gets yanked, why aren't the other mods that blatantly rip off assets from other games yanked as well? Game publishers not paying attention isn't a gateway to rip said assets, as specifically stated in the EULA's that YOU agree with when you install their games. It's like saying "Well, the security in this store doesn't care so I should steal as much as can." Again, he made his point clear: If his mod is pulled, why aren't the others? Either the rule applies for everyone, or not at all. Ba-dum-tshh.
  8. Didn't know where to put this, so I'll try here. Every day members of the Nexus post screenshots taken in Fallout 4. And ofttimes some of these screenshots are quite beautiful, and tastefully taken. The sad thing is that most of these shots barely get any endorsements. I find it sad because the people who post these screenshots, receiving so few endorsements, must get entirely discouraged, and must not be motivated to take and post more. Unless it's a boring screenshot with zero redeeming quality, I believe that members should be more generous with their endorsements, and in turn it would encourage them to post more. Insofar, it seems only Victoria's Secret models in lingerie in high heels equipped with humongous mammary glands get massive endorsements.
  9. Don't understand this trend as well. As a female, every time I see one of those mods I roll my eyes.
  10. I have a Special Edition install on my computer with lots of mods. Recently I upgraded to a new, more powerful computer, so I installed Skyrim SE on it, and set out to re-install my favorite mods. Once thing I want to do, is to transfer my main character from my old computer to the new. By character I not only mean the face preset, but the whole body, which I sculpted with a muscle mod. Despite all my efforts, I haven't been able to recreate the body of the character. So my question is this: what files from my old computer should I copy and transfer to my new computer so I can play again with that character for which I worked so hard to create. Many thanks!
  11. found a mod that replaces the loading screen, and some explanation about creating custom ones. I did so, as the instructions were clear, but once in game I only see 3/4 of the image. I.e.: my image seems too wide despite the fact that I made it with the exact same size as my game resolution (1920x1080). Loaded some other custom loading screen mods, and it's the same thing. Anyone know why, or how to fix this?
  12. The console commands I used without success were: prid 00002f1f (which is Piper's ID number)disableenablekillressurectmoveto player I disabled Loving Piper: she's still invisible. I do not have Amazing Followers Tweak or any companion mod. I might try reinstalling the game from scratch, which is something I already did (kind of tedious). Edit: I've used Loving Piper in the past without any problem but I think the mod might be the culprit, although I'm not sure. The mod's bug tab has a lot reported although none have reported an invisible Piper.
  13. Okay, I have CBBE installed, Looks Menu, and Unique Player. The only mod I installed for Piper was Loving Piper, which wasn't working so I used SLM to modify her appearance. Worked good. Well, until we went to Sanctuary where she became invisible. I can interact with her if I bump into her, but otherwise she's perfectly invisible. Tried every console trick but alas, Piper remains invisible. In this screenshot I can see Piper's body outline. The thing protruding is a hair glitch. Anybody knows how I can fix this?
  14. Many thanks for taking all that time to help me out. I did try the CK, but despite your clear instructions, and the links you've provided, I'm still pretty much in the fog. I never used those programs before, and it's really a pain because it's the only mod I've installed over a hundred that I have currently active that's giving me this sort of trouble. Edit: I tried your method. Tried other methods found online related to Nifskope. It's no use. whenever my character uses the armor the corresponding body parts disappear. Guess I'll have to nix the idea of using that armor. *sigh*
  15. My Skyrim SE runs perfectly; no CTD, no screen freeze, or anything besides the usual, and stupid oddball Bethesda bugs, but otherwise nothing serious. Recently I've downloaded this mod right here: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/6701?tab=posts Namely, the Nord armor. As stated in the mod description, the chest spawn at the Guardian Stones, and all the armor pieces are in it. So far so good. Only problem is, my character becomes partially invisible when I put on the armor pieces; i.e.: I put on the helmet, I go bald. I put on the main armor piece, my torso and upper arms become invisible. Gloves? Hands and forearms become invisible as well. Boots? Same thing. If I put all the armor pieces I'm just a disembodied. bald head just floating about. I used up all the tricks provided by various websites where people are having the same problem, including installing manually the files. No luck. Insofar I've learned that invisible pieces usually mean a mesh problem, and some solutions describe how to dive into Nifskope, and the CK, but it's pretty confusing to me. Can someone help me shed light on this problem, and how to possibly fix it?
  16. I've clocked a lot of hours in a brand new gameplay of Skyrim SE recently and I was quite happy to buzz along the quests, and dungeons without a single glitch, freeze, or CTD. All this gameplay with the mods listed below, which, insofar, have all played along very nice. Completed Dawnguard, and Dragonborn, and then I decided to advance the main vanilla quest. Got both sides to agree to a temporary truce, and to meet to High Hrothgar. Insofar, no problem. Until... Until I got freeze after freeze after freeze (and I mean total freeze; game unresponsive to any command) after I'm told to take a seat. I tried to sort out what could cause the damn freeze (which always forced me to CTRL-ALT-DEL, and shut down the game through Task Manager (and yes, the game is set as high priority). I even tried to use console commands to finish the quest (setstage MQ302 300), as suggested, but to no avail. Until I noticed that the freeze occurred precisely as Esbern gets in my field of view, either at the meeting, or at the temple's entrance. Every. Single. Time. Haven't found a damn clue about how to fix this, or circumvent this problem. And I need to talk to the damn bastard to learn the shout, but he freezes my game every time he appears. Here's my mod list. It's been sorted out by Loot, and cleaned with Tes5edit. Edit: I tried a "workaround" (of sorts), and completed the Empire/Stormcloak storyline in order to avoid the damn truce meeting. After it was completed I was to reach Sky Haven temple to learn the third word. Hell, as soon as Delphine came into view and said "Now we know about Parthunax", boom! Freeze frame. Every time I reload it's the same thing. So I'm thinking the problem might be with Delphine... Help? 17. Funny thing is, none of my other playthroughs are acting up. Not a single glitch, apart from the occasional Bethesda-induced CTD's. Only this one. Well, I'm running 229 mods so instead of turning them all off I simply rolled back to a previous save. I loaded one where I had already killed Kellogg, and now, when reaching Diamond City everything is working. So I guess it was just an annoying bug.
  18. Okay, it's not mama's first rodeo. Beaten the game several times. I've got lots of mods, but insofar I've been blessed with CTD-free gameplay for months. This time around, however, I've taken a different approach, or route. When starting I didn't go to Codsworth, instead opting to run around in order to level up. Went to Fort Hagen just for kicks and found out I could enter. Not only that, Kellogg talked to me. Met him. Blew his head off, and got told by the game to tell Valentine about my findings. I did some more running around with my companions (Unlimited Companion Framework, which has never caused a problem for me) to keep on leveling up. Completed the Mechanist storyline. Kept leveling up. Then I decided to head to Diamond City. At the entrance I can hear the guard talking to Piper, saying the mayor's all steamed up, but no Piper in sight. Intercom does not work, and door remains closed. I fast-traveled to Sanctuary, and sleep for the night. Next morning I fast travel back to Diamond City. This time the door opens. Mayor is at the entrance. Guard tells me to go right in. As soon as I open the gate en enter, the loading screen rolls, and then CTD. Every time. Tried a previous save game. Same effect. Thing I haven't tried yet: Going to the Vault where Valentine is held prisoner. But my character isn't supposed to know where he is unless she speaks to Perkins. :/ Starting to think that using a different storyline path may have ?&*% things up, as my other gameplays are perfectly normal. CTD only happens with this playthough.
  19. Thanks for your help/suggestions. Unfortunately, I realized that the mod you mentioned, and other ones I've tried, all overwrite the textures already installed by CBBE. This caused; a) the tattoos worn by my main character to disappear, and b) the blackface glitch. To correct this I simply used my backup Textures folder I keep on a separate drive. I wish Bethesda would have made the process easier to apply. I know there is a mod, which basically is the Harley Quinn costume from the DC movie, and when you put it on, or when given to a companion, it automatically applies makeup/tattoos. Oh well.
  20. I tried the first option you mention, but it unfortunately over rides the custom tattoos I have for my main character. When I tried to apply the tattoos of the first option mod to a follower, it automatically applied them to my character as well. when I tried to revert back I got the dreaded "brown face" for ALL my characters. Fortunately I keep a backup of my Data folder, so everything went back the way it was. Back to square one, that is.
  21. I've recently got back into Fallout 4, and I'm currently running 151 mods, all running perfectly. One of the mods I'm using is Unlimited Companion Framework, which allows you to have a large amount of followers with you. As it is, I'm having nine followers, of which only Piper, Cait, and Curie are from the game itself. the rest are different companion mods. Insofar I've managed, through the magic of Showlooksmenu, to give each of my companions a unique look (facial structure, hair style and color). Here's my question: I've seen some very cool tattoo mods here on the Nexus. I have a set for my character, and another mod gave me a set for Cait, but I was wondering if it is possible to give my other companions different tattoo sets? The ones I've seen so far, apart the one for Cait, are all for the Player character, not for followers.
