Internet speed depends on the provider, Optima has unlimited with 2MB/s download for 75Kn (12-13$), if you have CARNet (aka, if you go to school) you get the same for 50Kn (8-9$). Unlimited download/upload and they are pretty darn cheap.

And just make fun of our lovely country, Optima is a Slovenian company, our providers suck.

Thing is I'm waiting since we're in the EU now maybe we'll get better internet soon-ish, so I dont want to enter a new contract just now. I'm paying 150kn (Iskon) for 470Kb/s down and ~60Kb/s up and unlimited bandwidth.

I wanted the B.Net service which has like 20Mb/s speeds, but it's not available in Čakovec :(

Either way I'm going to the UK next year so f*** this country

    Studying abroad ftw!

    And I can't wait honey :D :D :D

  2. @ Werne, seafood is all well and good just make sure it is well cooked and that she doesn't eat too much shellfish, prawns etc ... Like I said, a little bit of what she fancies is ok just not in great quantities. Commonsense will rule the day I'm sure, and everyone is different. Each pregnancy is different and no two people have the same experience as I've noticed.

Look after her and yourself. Its gonna be a wonderful and fast paced time. A spring baby, lovely. I love kids (I think you can tell right), I enjoyed my own and my children's pregnancies and was at each of my grandchildren's births an amazing experience and something I was honored to participate in.

I'm so happy to see how excited you are :D :D :D

  3. I DID IT, I DID IT, I DID IT!!! I'll get drunk tonight cause I have a reason to celebrate (and be sad at the same time).

The good news is - My wife got home from her gynecologist and she's pregnant, we did it in the first try. Still too early to know is it a girl or a boy, doesn't matter to me anyway. Although she was calm until now and I was the nervous one, now she's nervous while I went running around in circles while yelling "WHEEE!!!". I can't believe it, my own child, I think I'll go wheee a bit more after I finish writing this.

The bad news are - In case my condom ever breaks, we get another, unexpected child, it would seem that we are both quite, ermm... "fertile". Doc said having sex would be the wrong thing to do after about 3 months of pregnancy, which doesn't go well when combined with two married sex addicts, we'll find a way though. And my mother in law will be visiting more often, not good. I also guess my parents won't skip a chance to try and screw up another generation, my brother claims they changed, I don't trust him though, nor them.

But at the moment, I don't care about anything, you can run me over with a truck and I'd still be smiling. I'm just... happy.

First, congratulations to both you and your wife on such amazingly brilliant news. Can't wait to follow this pregnancy through to its ultimate conclusion.

Second, I'm highly fertile and I ended up having my eldest daughter in the January and found out I was pregnant with twins that October. Carried them full-term, had no problems with the birth and they are now 25 whilst my eldest is 26... Just don't be surprised if you end up with multiple births. Common for highly fertile people lol.

I'm not sure why your doctor is saying that sex isn't safe after the first trimester. The fact that they encourage you to have sex as often as possible as you approach your due date as it helps encourage labour shouldn't put you off. My OB-GYN said we were safe so long as wardrobes and other acrobatics didn't come into the equation lol ;D In fact, for most women, being pregnant heightens the sex drive, possibly cos its "safe" to do so, considering the horse has definitely bolted from the stable by then

I'm so happy for you both its a wonderful time, enjoy it and take pleasure in it.

    Love to you both,

    Naomi xxx

  4. I have a King Charles/Jack Russell cross who thinks he's human/cat definitely not dog lmao.

He's excitable, friendly, territorial, has very human-like qualities but can sometimes be totally head-strong and stubborn in his intent.

I don't particularly like small dogs but I would say Mr Binx is more a small/medium sized dog with the heart of a doberman lol

I would love a mamaluke, especially the blue-eyed ones. So wolf-like and as the wolf is my totem it would be amazing :D

  6. Well, speaking for myself, I'm having one of those one-in-a-year good days. First, I've now got a set of wheels IRL, SECOND, I discovered how to make gluten free choc chip biscuits in 10 minutes, and third, I had a crate full of books I bought on Amazon finally arrived.

I do love reading, and I have a particular soft spot for bloodthirsty pulp-fiction Sci-Fi. The current series I'm on is Black Library. Black Library absolutely amazes me, ten years ago they were a fanfic site basically. Unpaid, amateur/hobbyist writers drawing up bloothirsty '80s style war-comics in the techno-gothic WarHammer universe. Ten years later they've been on the New York Time's best seller's list a dozen or more times, outsell Star Wars in Australia, and almost everyone I've spoken to about them in gaming circles, has known them by reputation. They're one of sci-fi's little success stories.

YES, they ARE bloody, dystopian gothic-horror, yes there's something of an aura of gloom, but hey, their character design is at times, truly outstanding, the universe is just amazingly deep, the writing itself is very strong, and the shear continuity even across multiple authors is staggering. When you see one story, told across two books, from the first-person perspective of two characters with completely different viewpoints of life, on opposite sides of a civil war, by different two different authors, without a single contradicting detail, THAT, THAT is amazing editing and co-operation. Especially when the story itself is well-told and entertaining.

(BTW, as for cookies, you start with a big 'ol glob of CHUNKY(it HAS to be chunky) peanut butter, a big pile of roasted peanuts, four eggs, a little caster sugar, and an oven. Bash 'em together and oven it, you get really decent cookies. I like to add some oats aswell)

They sound awesome (books and cookies )

The cookies however, although I would love to make them as we all love nuts in this house, I have to limit the amount my youngest son has do to him have an allergic reaction to them if he eats too many. That is a bummer in itself as he adores nuts and always has. Put it this way he can only have half a Snickers Bar or a small handful of peanuts or pecans a week. Any more and his breathing becomes labored and he has trouble catching his breath. He's never gone into shock but we monitor what he eats to make sure he's safe. When he's away then responsible adults he's with are aware of his allergy  He hates me for it lol

As for the books I love reading and don't get as much time to do so as I would like. They sound very good. I'm a Stephen King, James Herbert and Dean Koontz fan. I also love Patricia Cornwall (I'm sure I've not got her surname right) and Agatha Christie. Dan Brown and Dick Francis are also favourites if I want to lose myself for a few hours.

I used to have a Suzuki motorbike. It was a 250cc pillar box red with amazing chrome detailing. I had to hide it from my parents as they would've freaked me out and I was 22 years old when I bought it.

I had it for 6 months and eventually sold it as I couldn't do with the stressing involved when my parents visited the house lol A mistake if ever there was one :(

On that note I shall love and leave you till alterz... Have fun guys xxx

  7. I did it! Or at least I think I did it. My wife should have had her period three days ago but instead, nothing. She also should have screamed at me for no good reason but that didn't happen either.

So when I put all the pieces together, either her period is late (which happened a few times), or I can expect a Child-1.0 package in 9 months, I think it's the latter. We'll see in monday, she's going to her gynecologist (I'll kill that guy one day, no one touches my wife and lives to tell the tale) and he'll tell us if I'm right or not (granted, if he actually knows what he's doing).

I believe I'm right and if her gynecologist confirms it, it will give an incredible boost to my ego due to the fact that I managed to both boink her brains out and do the job right in the first try.
