In my experience lol, it is usually the only way to do things. Take out the obvious and if they're not the problem makers then take out all the rest except for cosmetics and start again. Time consuming but it works. Then send the creator a pm with a list of mods you have on and a description of the problem (along with any other mods that also cause the same problem if any). They're usually cool people and will look into it and try to replicate the problem to sort it.
Sorry but sometimes the tried and tested methods are the only ones to go with lol.

Looking at the list you've given I would suggest taking off
Dialogue Tweaks
The Pearl Redone
Advanced Tactics
If they are not the culprit take of all mods except for the hair and other cosmetic mods and then add each mod you want back in one at a time at the point you are having trouble. Try and complete it if it works then you know it isn't the problem. Add the next and redo.
You must use a test save at the point you're having problems with for example, take off the mods, save and then test, if it works you know that one of the mods you've removed is the culprit. Then add.
It takes time but once you find it, let the creator of the mod know and they may be able to sort out the problem.
I know that advanced tactics plays havoc with the quests in Redcliffe when you go back to it so that is why I suggest you take it off first with Dialogue Tweaks as that can cause a couple of problems too.

I had this problem and it was terribly frustrating. What other mods do you have on besides the dialogue mods??
Let me know as I had to take them all off and manually test one by one until I got to the culprit(s) (there were a few and they weren't obvious).

As far as I am aware the short answer is no.
There are some applications available created by the modding community to assist you in modding for DA2 and I believe that the toolset for DAO can be used but it is limited due to the file system for DA2.
If you want the applications for DA2 let me know and I'll route them out for you.

I would download CCleaner which is a free program, this will check for files that are no longer supported and also registry keys that are no longer needed. Install and run the file locater first and delete the files it recommends and then run the registry cleaner and fix those.

Hi, I had similar problems which drove me to distraction with both of my PCs which are behaving well now.
A simple question (as I had problems with some cutscenes) did you remove all the drivers for the old card plus any associated programs and registry keys?
That sorted it for me. Of course that may not be the case here but its a start.

You have three mods here that all have changes to dialogues. I trust you have made sure that you have followed the instructions to make them compatible with each other?
For instance in Improved Atmosphere in group 2. there is are dialogue tweaks here that need to be removed to make sure that the dialogues with Leliana are not interfered with if using Dialogue Tweaks and ADP. Then you also need to make sure that there is only 1 Alistair main dialogue etc.
Weapons mods would not normally interfere with the dialogues.
Please check the compatibility of the dialogues in there respective readme's and if you still have problems let me know and I'll have a rethink.

the other thing you can do is muck about in the console to regain some cash ie in the console type
runscript zz_money 10000000000
That should give you some cash to play with lol
then take off the amounts you don't want by adding an - (minus sign) in front of the number you input no space

I installed DA2 today and experienced 2 CTDs but only after I tried to access stuff that was locked lol
It runs very well and although I have still not tested DAO yet, I took off all mods and installed the new drivers for Nvidia and physex (something like that). I will continue testing through the night (was going to do so last night but got tired and gave up). Hopefully the advice given here will help. I have yet to do the core affinity yet, but will do that also. I have a fairly decent rig and can't understand the lagging but hopefully we will get somewhere.

Just checking that I have everything I need in case the worst case scenario pans out and I have to reinstall after doing a full wipe lol. Will be working on it over night to get the problem resolved hopefully one way or another. May need to check my bios also as its a new card and processor and the settings may be limiting my speeds (never thought of that as I don't tend to muck with the bios in case I blow it up lmao).
Will drop a line through the night to let you know how I go.
Thanks for your help and advice as I'm sure this thread will help others with similar problems.

Nothing for me, all I get is some serious lagging and then Win7 closes down with a Windows has encountered a problem and needs to close like message. Maybe it is a problem of copying files from one os to another like Gaoxin, but if they try installing the game like I said and one step at a time maybe we can pinpoint the problem and it maybe a mod that is causing this.

Oh another hope dashed lol. We keep trying then, there must be a workaround for this problem to say the least.

you know now you've mentioned it, I don't have DX11 on this machine only DX9a, could that be the problem, trying to run it on a 64bit using a lower spec DX??

ok then all I can suggest is that you uninstall the game again, make sure all DAO folders are deleted (I mean all) both on the c and wherever else you install it. Remember there are two sets of Folders so make sure there are none left.
Keep your mod files hidden (ie the ones you've carried over) and then re-install the game again. Patch up one at a time and test ie install DAO patch to v1, if that works patch to v2 see if that works. Install DAA and it patches itself then test, if all is well then save the files or create a restore point, then patch to v4.
If its ok doing it step by step then try some mods

I wouldn't have thought so hun. I'll have to have a rethink..
I added the mod files etc after installing the game however the mods were taken off the Deluxe edition which I had to download on the other machine, this one was the disk version which could make a difference to settings etc. I don't know and I'll have to have a rethink on this I believe. Maybe moving the mod files, uninstalling the disk version and installing the deluxe to see if its the difference in game versions that is causing the problem.
However is this similar to you Gaoxin?? Have you more than one version of the Game (not patches, the game itself)??

cool, let me know what happens. looks like I may have to strip the game back down to installation level. (I saved all files etc before copying the game over from the other PC.) If there is a problem with the mods it will soon come to light

lol great minds etc etc. We mere mortals sometimes forget (Me included) to de-activate all mods BEFORE creating a new character and then wonder why the heck they don't work. Simple but not overly obvious to some, especially if they do not mod games frequently.

lol I have had this problem too, I had DAO/DAA on my secondary machine which was Windows XP with a very low spec GC. I installed DAO/DAA and copied all files across to the 64 bit machine which is Win7.
At first everything was fine but I now suffer badly with lagging which has surprised me as the processor has been upgraded to 3Ghz and the GC is brand new and a Nvidia 430.
The only thing I can think of is the mods I have copied across are interfering in some way graphically, possibly due to the lower spec machine having different settings. I have changed these manually and had hoped this would solve the problem. As of yet they haven't. I will be clearing the mods and adding them again to see which one (if any) is causing the problem.
If I have any news I'll get back to you asap.
Should you find a solution let me know between us we may be able to figure this out.

Also have you tried looking in the AddIns/Demo/Toolset folder to see if the project is in there. I know that morphs and mops are saved here by default. Not sure about anything else but it may be worth a try.

What mod's do you have on and are you patched to v1.04.

What operating system are you using as if it is Vista or Win7 you will need to run the DAModder and DAUpdater as an admin.
Have you also used the configuration tool to configure DAO?
Have you tried installing mods using the DAUpdater instead of the DAModder?
The last thing I will ask is have you deleted the ini files and restarted the game?
Let me know where you are at and I'll see if I can come up with something. I also need to ask what version of DAO are you running, ie off a disk, steam etc and which one, ie Deluxe, Ultimate etc.
