  1. The only thing I can think of is that you may have obtained a virus somehow. Have you run a scan and followed this through? I would do this first. Have you installed another mod? If so this may have interfered somehow, you have not mentioned this so I would take that as a no.

My thoughts remain the same however and I would initially look at the possibility of a virus, trojan or worm. Use different scanners to check for all of these and see what happens.

I hope this helps, please let me know how you get on.

  2. DAO has been referred to by quite a few people (including BioWare) as a Kitchen Sink game. I take it to mean that they cobbled it together and put it out to see what the reaction would be. With the advent of DA2 a lot more work has gone into it, the world space is huge apparently and they have recreated the fighting and magic systems.

I would hope that at some point they will return to DAO and redo certain aspects of the game and re-release it. Who knows maybe wishes will come true.

  3. not heard of that mod, have you tried taking it off or disabling it. certain mods can stop the beginning from working properly and the best thing to do is uninstal the mods you may have on and test it. If it works then put the mods back on one at a time and test after each one till you find the one that interferes. You then know which one has the problem.

    Hope this helps

  4. As DarkeWolf suggested take the laptop to your techy, each computer department has one and considering the course you're doing you should have one attached to your department. They are pretty sound (at least the one's I've met are) and are a fount of knowledge and resources. Have a chat and I'm sure he/she can sort it out..

Sometimes things can get "in" that are undetectable by usual means someone with the knowledge and know how will find it if that is the case. Don't give up as all is not lost.

Use the resources on hand and ask for help.

Let us know if your techy sorted it....

    Stay safe

  5. hi,

A couple of questions for you:

Are these the official DLCs that you have bought, or are they downloaded mods??

    If downloaded:

Where are you putting the files???

    How are you installing them??

Need a little more info so I can help

    Regards Naomi

  6. As far as I am aware the merchants' inventory is capped. I have yet to figure out how to uncap it lol

That's why I try to distribute my goods through other sources including the Pocket Plane mod as there are a number of merchants in v2

    Hope this answers your question

    Regards

    Naomi

  7. you need to look at the override folder and look for arm meshes these seem to be off by the look of it. Did you check the readme and description to see what the mod needed with regard to textures and meshes etc. Have downloaded but not installed this mod myself so the only thing I can think of is that the arm meshes/textures are not correct. I'll take a look and see if I can ascertain anything else. Let me know if this helps.
  8. If you use advanced tactics or advanced quickbar these cause problems here. Save, uncheck these, reload your save, enter the Chantry and upon leaving the relevant people should be available. Upon leaving Redcliffe, save again, recheck the mods and reload save. All should be well. However to reach the templar in Redcliffe you will need to uncheck the Advanced mods again to talk to him. Don't know why this happens but it's a pest I know. Hope this assists you.

  9. The invisible Object problem is a mod conflict and without knowing what mods you have on I can't tell you any more than that. This will go away with the uninstallation of the mod causing the problem. If you can upload a copy of the mods used I will take a look and let you know.
  10. As I meantioned in Chat use this link to obtain the patch you need

    http://www.elderscrolls.com/downloads/updates_patches.htm

Once you have this and have installed it you then look at the mods you want. To download these click on the files section of the page and then click the required files these will once again begin downloading upon clicking

They need to be unpacked using winrar or similar. I would suggest saving them to a Folder dedicated to Oblivion mods eg Oblivion Downloads so you can find them with ease

Once unpacked, the files would need to go into the Data Folder of your game. I would suggest downloading and installing Mod Manger from here http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=32277 and installing it to the Oblivion folder. Click on the launcher and away you go This will assist you in sorting your mods.

I would also suggest you download Wrye Bash for as this is an invaluable tool as well as BOSS which will diagnose conflicts and assist with load orders

Should you require any further help, either give us a shout in Chat or contact us here. Hope this helps

  11. oh Blonda this is sad as I've used this software myself to assist others but only ever use the remote access service I never download and install it. I do hope you manage to get this resolved as you've never been a problem in chat whilst I've been on and this has shocked me.

Good luck honey and I hope to see you soon
