  1. It is not very long but the things it adds is well-worth it even without the storyline. Fighting on horseback is my favorite. Tough to control but that is realistic.
  2. Try uninstalling them. A green glow means they are poisoned. Probably you poisoned someone and the effect glitched out due to one or more of your mods.
  3. This arrow to the knee is the only reason Western Europeans are white. The rediculous custom of the entire army going home when the Khan died saved us from invasion. Twice.
  4. I don't see why this is in the Spoiler section... This isn't even an option in an unmodded game. The cat sounds cool, though. What mod is that?
  5. According to the load screen screen detection is controlled by the weight of your armor, the line of sight, the speed you are moving, and the lighting. Of course, you can have Dawnbreaker glowing white hot an inch from a Vampire and he won't see you, so I think they mean lighting spells and ambiant lighting. In general, the above would be seperated into a sound multiplier and a sight multiplier. I have no proof of this, but I beleive this is still the case with blind enemies such as Falmer. Their ability to "smell" you is still LOS based. The sounds multiplier can be affected by all the relevant perks. If you wear advanced DB boots and have the running perk, you will be silent even if you are wearing full Daedric. However, ONLY the sneak skill (and the top sneak perk) affect how well you can remain hidden from sight. And, even if you are silent, if your companion tips off an enemy, they are LOOKING for you, not listening for you. So, even if you are a master sneak, if you are not in shadow, they will find you.
  6. Is the main point of this thread really to argue about what sort of taxodermy technology they have in skyrim? I mean, come on. In skyrim I can kill a bear, take its hide, tan the hide, and make leather strips in about a minute. In real life it would take days.
  7. This is unfortunately one of the enchantments that bit the dust in Skyrim. You still have Magelight, Candlelight, and torches, though.
  8. It is really hard to compare one character to another. Perhaps you got to lvl 25 by smithing and alchemy, and your defense sucks. Who knows. Not a problem with the game, the problem is your squishy character.
  9. It is not a mod. Pretty common bug, actually.
  10. This is all left vague on purpose. After all, in King Olaf's Verse, YOU decide how to rewrite history by filling in the blank spots of the verse. Thus, in usual ES fashion, Bethesda is not going to put anything in the game to counter any possible player decisions.
  11. That is interesting. I suppose the same things are true of the "mod" alternate starts as well. Perhaps someone has already come up with a fleshed-out Helgen with an alternate start mod?
  12. Congratulations.
  13. Now, would anyone REALLY want the size to be realistic? So it takes 20 ACTUAL hours to travel from Markath to Riften? Nobody would play that game.
  14. It would never work. Remember back when several studios were setting the groundwork for a HALO movie? Did that ever pan out? No, they made a GI JOE movie instead because they thought they could cash in on a larger fan base. And HALO has a much larger fan base than TES, with almost a dozen spin-off books, tons of online gaming support, and many sequels.
  15. Why all the complaining? So the Xbox gets the expansion a month sooner. So what. PC guys have modding. When it comes out on PC people are just going to be bitching that they have to pay for it, anyway.
