  1. will i have to make a new faction with a new ID? i dont think you can change IDs for factions
  2. Ive been working on a mod that involves using doors to join custom factions ive made. the idea is that by activating a door, it will join the faction i want it to and teleport you to the desired area. problem is, when i actually script the door with my makeshift script, it doesnt even teleport the player, or make the player leave or join the desired faction. this is a sample of the script i made: Scriptname Soonsoforth Begin OnActivate Player.SetFactionRank 0teamred0 0 Player.SetFactionRank 0teamyellow0 -1 End any idea what im doing wrong? i treid switching the script to just an activator but that didnt work either
  3. ill try that script idea. though im a novice when it cmes to scripts, or anything else that doesnt involve editing textures, and putting meshes into the CS :P. thnx for the link. if all goes bad, ill just use the fake elevator :/. the Nifscope idea seems to complicated for me, but then again, this is complicated in general lol :P. thanks for the help

I cant find out how to make elevators work in oblivion. ive had a few incomplete, private mods that remain incomplete simply because i cannot find anywhere that gives a nice tutorial or example of an elevator. id tried TEDS house resource for an elevator, and simply copied and pasted the script he made onto the new mesh i wanted elevated, but in games, the activator or the static mesh dont even budge. id be deeply appreciated if someone could thoroughly explain to me how elevator scripts and animations work, or point me where i can find a turtorial as to how to make one.
  5. I came across medievall tilesets and buildings awhile ago i think from this site. Has anyone seen it? or kno any other tilesets?
  6. theres a mod with a flintlock pistol, but thats the closest ive seen. If you want a musket i suggest taking a modern day rifle mod thats alrdy been made and start with that

  8. Im actually retexing a custom mesh and from what i see in the file it doesnt have a normal map, but the normal armor works just fine. the meshes were to replace a vanilla mesh so should i use the vanilla normal maps?
  9. ive been trying my hand at nifskope and making my own textures with GIMP. The textures look all fine when i save them as DDS, and then put the texture onto a mesh, but when i put the armor ingame itself, then the whole body of whatever that armor covers just disapears. Anyone kno why this happens?
  10. hey guys If no one doesnt know the hellequin or the harlequin from AC: Brotherhood then id be surprised. More to the point i was surprised that there not even a "serious" mod out there that adds a jester suit or something for hellequin or harlequin lovers like me to use. I have a good idea of where to start, but im killing myself over just how to install blender, and allow it to import nif files. What id like to see are the dagger done, and as for the armor i have a chance at. (http://www.cosplayisland.co.uk/costume/view/37308)- for those of you that dont kno what im talking about there is a link to pics of the hellequins weapons/gear. Im thinking a good Base to start of with for the dagger is the grommite dagger. as for the armor i will try myself but for eveyones curiosity perhaps, i think colourwheels SI stock clothing replacer is gunna be the greatest start, maybe not needing to change anything and just retexture. Again im just shooting out the idea and possible ways into it. Id rly like to see this come together, but if not, atleast sum alternative suggestions for building up to it.
  11. Hey guys, i was browsing nexus as usual typing in things i want, and i was looking into Boat house mods. Yea Yea i kno about side_s and his sailing ships, and also about the vanilla textured boat house mods. I came across Siikas Better ports (http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=15648), and came across the "imperial war galley", and thought to myself "that'd be one sick boat house". id take on the challenge myself, but i cant even make an item go into a container without having it not work. Tho i am specifically looking for Siikas imperial galley house mod, id be interested in any other custom boathouses around as well to see what else is out there that im not seeing. Thnx in advance
