It pays to do alil reading. I posted something that seems to be already done. In the Fallout3 Geck and further info TES constructione wiki They have all these codes. Plus explinations of what ther do and if your like me a real good tutorial on learning it. Here is the site.

Yea I go there a lot. But it appears that Im a slow learner,lol. I was hoping that someone would be kind enough to do a simpler version and went into a lil detail about specific functions. I know alil about staged timers because of rhe link Pkleiss sent me awhile back http://www.thenexusforums.com/index.php?/topic/174737-cut-scenes-and-vats-animations/ . He show the detailed parts of "his" mod, but I was tring to find the substatute (like objects or rooms). that can be replaced within the prewritten script. I know each one is a custom piece but they all must follow a specific order to function properly. I was wanting someone to begin the Manual and others can add to it so that those who are trying to understand what they are doing can learn by coping then understand can follow and grow. Atleast thats how I able to learn. Like playing the guitar at first you dont know the 1st thing about chord progression at the moment of appling the C chord to D and their are three notes that are played together in its aplication but the beginner over time learns this by constant repition. Then later he/she can learn guitar theory. Hope that adds more to what Im saying.

It sounds like you re-installed windows over the top of the old one without actually formatting the drive, so it moved the old one over to .old. When doing a clean install of windows, I usually delete the partitions, boot the Vista CD and let it make new partitions/format the drive/etc.
Yea I know I put the installation cd in and restarted it and followed directions and it did just that then I noticed the lil windows .old file. I tried everything but now I need to get back ups from the old which was a life saver in some ways but a beast in others

Ok Im gonna ask. Theye is some one out there that has knowledge ot basic script formulas and PLEASE make a lil book and put those formulas into it and what each does and how within each piece of a simple formula "what" cant be substuted with "what" object and effect. I was thinking last nite that this is possible if someone was nice enough to share and help by pass the "self experience" of trial and error by creating this lil manual and you would be surprise how many would be able to grasp at the comprehension of scripting. I know I would.Example. is the old scn"Hello world" . that is to basic there needs to be some that has done basic functions within the fallout world and then that FSD Fallout Script Dictionary would be written and over time be kept revised.

Ok here is the deal .Some how with vista there is a cloud program within it (or it seems) cause when I went to reformat my hard drive ( typically this erases all data) not in vista it puts it in a new folder called windows.old. Where all old programs are stored. In my control panel under programs and features none of the older programs lik ( fallout3 fose was install long ago). When I installed fallout 3 again and redone everything I am not able to put the FOSE or FOMM in. I keep getting errors. Now I can go into the "windows.old file and open up the fallout3 and begain where I left of as if I never even takin it out. Which I`m glad in one way cause I still have part of the mod "The Prison" that I thought I lost. but how can I get the fomm and fose to work in the programs area instead of the windows.old section. Anyone else ran into this problem before to?>

couple of questions. do u have a xp? and is the falloutnv hacked? This is why I ask I have know people who have tried to hack it and they get this error messege.

sorry for dely. I have interiors in different maps I made and was trying to seperate item from origianal (Customs mod) to a new revised edition of my work but it is under a old esm. Is it possible to copy that cell and put into a totally new one?

sure would be glad to help. Here are some thing you will need to do so and they are free. Go to the fallout official ste get the Geck install it and then go to youtube and type in Geck tutorial and you will be there for a while. Some side ingredients are to download is Gimp, nifscope,Blender. Go to The Elderscrolls page ( Get oblivion if u dont have it). Download the tesconstruction set 1.0, it is this particular one which builds lipfiles (for dialoge) Look up Npc dialogue by Crow Bennet to learn how to do radiostations and dialogue. If I can help in anything else hit me up. Happy modding

I have a Intel 2 Quad Q8300@ 2.50ghz 2.50ghz Ram 6 gig 750 gig harddrive with the Radeon 5770. *50watts power supply there is no lack of speed here. Could the mozzilla be interferring with it? But I go thro Internet explorer to come here.

I been coming here for a while now and I can use other people cpu to come here and it runs fine. When I use my cpu its like dial up that is constapated. It didnt used to bee like that what happened and how can I fix it?

Have a mod for the experts. In the area of scripting there has to be away to use the vats to apply new movements that will show basic blocks or attacks of martial arts moves so Im tring this myself hope to see it out from the older scripters.

When I update my falloute 3 patch in general it crashes and says somethin about 5360 not being in the librabray what ever that means. And Plus who ever changed up this forum It runns like dial up and they might wanna lookinto it.

OK the issue was that I am running multiple monitors and my 40 inch doesnt have as much quality as the 24 so I switched back to the 24 and got my Geck back so if any run into problems switch monitors.

I have been modding for a while now. and today the Geck seems to not work even when you don have the fallout installed and you open the geck the cell window and other windows open. This doesnt open anything but the big screen. I have bista and know the administrtor mode . I reinstalled the geck and still noting. I NEED HELP
