  1. So re-downloading that mod should fix it, eh? I hope so, I wouldn't want to remove it! I love that mod. Edit: Confirmed that removing the mod prevents the glitch from showing up, but does NOT fix already affected saves. Furthermore, re downloading the mod did not help, and still broke saves. So I guess I must live without. Edit 2: I got it to work! Turns out if you disable the auto perk feature it messes s*** up. So I just disabled autoperks for every skill tree while keeping the main option on... Awesome!
  2. I experimented with telekinesis. While it does lift objects, there's no gentle way of putting them back down! Unless there's a mod that turns telekinesis into some kind of decoration spell to manipulate objects, it probably wont help much! It's amazing how such a silly part of the game is causing me so much grief. I really want to play but I find this bug too distracting!
  3. Finally! I am not alone! I thought I was the only person having this problem, and I've been having a hell of a time getting help for it. I'm farther into the game, so it's not limited to starting in the tutorial. I've found, as well, that if you reload a save where grabbing things did work, the second you enter ANY kind of menu, it ceases to work. This is super frustrating! After disabling all my mods, grabbing DOES work again for old saves where the problem never existed. New saves affected seem to be permanently affected. The odd part on old saves is, after I enable all the same mods one by one, grabbing still works. For about twenty minutes of gameplay. Then poof. Same issue all over again. No SPECIFIC mod seems to be causing this, from what I can tell. I've been trying to make it work since the update came out, which is when this s*** all went down.

I have tried removing all mods, but the problem persists. What happens, exactly, is that after I smith an object I am rendered unable to "grab" anything by holding down the activate button. This persists through all future saves and seems irreparable. If I reload an old save, I can manipulate things as normal until I smith an object. Anybody have any ideas? I'm stumped. Edit: It turns out that, when loading old saves, I am also rendered unable to grab objects if I move cells, so this is not a smithing issue specifically.
  5. I haven't the slightest idea WHAT could be causing this, but ever since I updated to 1.6 I can no longer grab items (y'know, holding E and moving them about). If I go to a save game from before I updated, I can grab items for about 5 minutes, then it stops working. Any ideas? Edit: I should add that my game is extensively modded, but all works quite smooth and worked quite smooth until I updated to 1.6. Even now my only problem is not being able to grab anything! I've also tried playing with every mod deactivated, still no dice.
  6. I had this issue with my custom partner as well, but I managed to fix it by disabling the .esm for the partner, loading Oblivion and saving, then loading the partner's .esm again. I held their items in case they happened to re spawn back at their original location, but they did not for me. I only disabled the partner's .esm. I did not touch any of the other CM companion .esms.
  7. This sounds interesting. I always was disappointed in the small roles of most companion mods, and was actually somewhat tempted to start making sets of story-rich companions, but I'll never have the time. I do have one suggestion, though. By the sound of it, you're making companions need food and such? How about you make it so that one can toggle that? I mean, I'm all up for more-immersive companions, but I stay away from all hunger/thirst/sleep mods, just not my thing.
  8. Midas Magic has a couple spells that do holy and/or light damage specifically. If you can't find the mod, just look in the top 100 list.
  9. There are actually several large ship mods. These two mods are the only ones I know of with small boats: Sailboats - http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=17150 Rowboats - http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=6690
  10. Alright, the process is a bit odd. First, you need a blank ESM file. You can technically use any ESM file, but a blank one is safest. You can find a blank ESM in your Oblivion/Mopy/extras folder. Then you'll need your save file. Go to the blank ESM you made, right click it (in Wyre Bash), and select "Import Face" Select your save file. A window will pop up telling you a name that the face was imported under. Now, open that ESM in TESCS, and look for the NPC by the name of what was in the box from earlier. Go to to the "Face Advanced" tab, and hit the copy button. Then, go to your CM partner and select "Paste" under the face advanced tab. It should be the same face. Mind you, it might be a bit odd if you're changing races and what-not, but it works.
  11. Here you are. http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=15970
  12. I didn't look at your load list in-depth for any compatibilities, but I suggest downloading OBSE (found here: http://obse.silverlock.org/), and then installing this plugin http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=22282 That plugin is a great addition that adds a large amount of stability to the game, preventing many crashes. If that fails, try installing Wrye Bash and making a Bashed Patch.
  13. Try extracting the mod files to a separate folder, then manually installing all the files, overwriting where needed. Make SURE everything is in the right folder. I know I've made the silly mistake of putting ESM files in my Oblivion directory instead of my Oblivion/Data.
  14. This means you have missing meshes. Reinstall the mod that put in the werewolf system, but extract the mesh folder separately, and then manually place all the meshes yourself. Sometimes just extracting the meshes straight into you data folder can skip a few meshes. 2pac, as far as your issue goes, David is right. It's a bit hard to help out unless we know exactly what happens in game. Is it just not there at all?
  15. The clue I gave was rather unclear and such. I just threw it in there to show that the intro would end with a small clue on the last verse. I was just thinking of fairly iconic Oblivion characters, and two showed up. I didn't pick the adoring fan, though.
  16. Tired of earning bread, Or life too bleak? The ashes of the dead, you should seek. Throughout the land, Great heroes lie; Not as grand, or as spry. Burnt to ash, and stuffed in jars, They guard their cache, From the stars. Armed with wit, You must find Ten urns split If inclined. There the dead lay Their tools left behind Awaiting the day They see your kind Each one hidden Behind a clue If you're bidden They belong to you. The first one Is held by an eccentric It wont be much fun: He's egocentric Don't blame me if it's not good. It's midnight and I made it up in ten minutes. It's the intro to wherever you find the first clue, and the last bit leads to the first jar. I also had no clue where to place the first jar and keep the rhyme going, so I made an NPC own the jar. But, of course, who caries around an Urn with them 24/7? It's probably in their house.
  17. I have not used any of the werewolf mods myself, but I think the most built-upon one would be The Curse of Hircine. You can find it here http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=6486
  18. I have found out that it is, indeed, conflicting with one of my mods. The mod it is conflicting with is Realistic Leveling, something that passively calculates my stats. Anyone know a possible workaround?
  19. What you're thinking of is the original mod, known as "Feint Death". I also had CTDs on that when getting up. The mod I am using is a fixed ESP of that older mod, and it changes the get up and fall down keys. They work, my problem is NOT that I am getting stuck, I am not. I am just CTDing instead of getting up. Thanks for replying, though. Started to think no one ever would. Edit: To expand on what happened with the original mod, I did get stuck, but I fixed it via the normal means. However, I still CTDed instead if getting up.
  20. I thoroughly enjoyed the RTS mode in Fallout, even though it was rather unfinished. I'd love something somewhat similar in Oblivion. Even if you can only build in a set spot, I would enjoy it.
  21. Ahoy! There's a fairly amusing mod out there that allows you to turn on ragdoll for your player character at will. Great fun to launch yourself into things. This mod can be found here. http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=24342 This is a video showing the mod in action, if you were curious: Anyway, on to the issue. The mod works okay as far as flailing goes. Fine, dandy, and rather amusing. The issue lies in getting up. That is, turning off the ragdoll and resuming normal movement. The mod I linked above is a fix of the original, which had issues with people getting stuck in the ground. Well, now the hotkeys to get up work, per se, but they make me CTD. I cannot find any mod conflicts at all, nor are any of the hotkeys in use by something else. If anyone has any ideas, I'd love to hear them. Thank you for you time.
  22. Well, the fix I posted a few posts back makes it so different buttons are used to get back up. I no longer get stuck on the ground at all, the getup button always "works", it just causes me to crash. It shouldn't be conflicting with anything, and it doesn't appear to be. Also, I do use the weOCPS plugin, and it has made my game very stable. This is one of the only CTDs I experience. Note: Tried using Setav. The command went in right, but my fatigue stayed down. The script for the mod continuously drains fatigue so you stay down.
  23. I'll give it a try, but I use the original mod I posted to launch myself and have fun with ragdoll. not to actually fake death. Does this do the same? Edit: After extensive searching, I found a fix http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=24342 Edit2: Great. Well, I still CTD with the fixed ESP in that mod. The getup activates fine, but I CTD upon doing it. It's an issue on my end, evidently, but I don't know what would cause it.
