The yangtze memorial shack mod might suit you, its near goodsprings and not too unfriendly, I was going to suggest the portable tent, its follower friendly, and fits the idea of setting up camp wherever you roam, I dont know if its still up to date.good luck, it sounds like fun.

I recently re-started NV, and put some Mods in, one of which has removed the freeside shop I need to complete GI Blues, its just a brick wall and empty space, I deleted the mod, now I'm wondering if I go back to before it was installed, will the shop re-appear, or is that too simplistic? I know I can just do Kings Gambit, and ignore GI Blues, as an easy way out because I've done a lot of stuff since then, but I was just wondering. Thanks for any help, I haven't put up my specs, as I imagine its not needed for this Q.

@ MrBlue577 Sorry to butt in, and apologies if I've misunderstood, but your game data folder is where you put mods, its here: C/programfiles(x86)/steam/steamapps/common/falloutnewvegas/data. the games folder is just where your saves etc are. hope you get help, ive got the same os as you.

I've just re-started playing NV, Ive got lings hair etc, but I think I need headgearfix.esp because my womenfolk are bald when they wear hats. help please?

For a while now, when I go into the Gomorrah courtyard, there are no NPC gamblers, there is only ever Joana & Dazzle, I have been finding a gamblers base id & using player.placeatme to add two or three and even tried to set them essential, but every time I restart my game, theyre gone. my games fully patched,Fomm, nvse & geck all updated. I've got about 24 mods, & Ive spent today updating what I can, its much more stable since removing IWS by the way. I've got populated casino med & some adult mods amongst other things, but as I say Ive had this problem for some time, is there a way I can add some people and get them to stay lol? although Ive got geck, and know how to look at it, I have no idea how to make things happen in game with it, but can follow instructions if thats whats needed? thanks a lot for looking/helping. :0)

Hi, Ive recently been looking at the geck, and reading about it. most of what I read seems too complicated for me lol, but I was hoping to be able to edit faces such as my character, Cass & Boone, so I tried it by editing them in the geck, clicking apply and saving, but they dont change in game, am I trying to do something thats not possible or is it much more complicated than Im hoping? Also I detest all the useless bent tin cans, can I not delete them in the geck? I appreciate that Im being very simplistic, I do understand if things are explained as if to a monkey lol. If its a case of creating stuff, I wouldnt waste your time explaining how to me. thanks for any help.

I would also like to see more dialogue either amongst companions or with my player, I loved in fallout 3 how Fawks would make random comments as we trotted along, about the moon etc he was quite poetic lol. I especially would like more from Boone, who is my most constant comp. I'm using the companion sandbox mod which does give him at least a bit of life but he still stands mute most of the time, which is a pity because I adore his accent [ I'm English so its a real treat] I expect its very difficult to find very similar voice actors so it doesnt sound naff, I understand also that hes the strong silent type with a very troubled past which probably adds to his morose demeanor, but as I'm a female player, surely trotting along behind 'my behind' must have some effect eventually?!?! Gawd! I need a real life!!

I know this is yesterdays thread, I didnt want to start a new one with a similar question if thats ok? steam has been installing/downloading my game now for 7 hours, this is ridiculous, is it because loads of people will be doing the same thing? I understand the whys and wherefor's of having steam for updates/patches etc, Im just flabberghasted that its taking so long! its from a pcdvd. thanks for any help. Can I just say thanks to all who give their time making this site so good, I've loved using the info & mods for fallout3 & hope to have as much fun with FNV if I dont die of old age before it's installed lol.
