The message board has functioned properly without a sword hanging over our heads. We have never had a problem, as all of the moderators (emphasis on Vagrant) has done a superb job of stopping it before it ever became a problem. Discussions get heated, and this is true with any debate.
Perhaps a more appropriate task is to ask bben what is the maximum level of a personal attack that is accepted by this new addendum?
The following sentences are examples of different levels of attacking. Please list whether you think each breaks the rules.
1.No <Insert Name> you are so wrong it makes me want to puke.
2.No <Insert Name> the point you are trying to make is quite stupid.
3.No <Insert Name> your opinion is flawed, and you should leave this topic to the pros.
4.No <Insert Name> your post reflects your intelligence level, <Insert Intelligence Level>
5.No <Insert Name> your opinion is noted, but quite wrong.
6.No <Insert Name>, you obviously don't care about <topic>. So go away.
7.No <Insert Name> although your opinion holds a valid point, Nobody really cares what happens in that aspect.
8.No <Insert Name> your opinion has very little merit at all.
9.No <Insert Name> don't compare this to that, comparing this to that is like comparing crap to gold. ***Guilty***
10.No <Insert Name> I see where you are going, but your opinions/facts are still wrong.
11.No <Insert Name> I don't care whether you have this or that. THIS is all that matters ***Guilty of doing this myself***
12.No <Insert Name> take your religious philosophy and get packing.
13.No <Insert Name> this debate is useless, worthless, and has no merit. It should be closed.
14.No <Insert Name> apparently you don't understand ANYTHING. Perhaps you should go grab a book, and read it before bringing your merit-less opinion here. *This happened to me the first day I started posting in the debates forum. Mods thankfully got him, and removed him.*
15.No <Insert Name> I think your opinion could use some work... wait, scratch that... It Needs ALOT of work.
16.No <Insert Name>, and I'll tell you why. (ANGRY RANT) ***Very Guilty***
17.No <Insert Name>, your post is just crap rehashed from earlier in the thread. How about you start from page 1, and work your way up! *I sometimes post without reading thread, luckily nobody has attacked me for it*
18.No <Insert Name> Despite your undeniable intelligence... (Enter Eloquent words that describe a poor intellect, while telling the poster he/she is wrong)
19.No <Insert Name> I've never heard of it. Post a reference. (Poster says he/she can't find reference) Oh, really? Then it's completely false.
20.No <Insert Name> your statistics, although supported by facts, have no merit.
.... I could go on, but I have seen many of these on this board. Out of those 20, which ones fall into the category of personal attack? BTW, I have seen at least 15 of these appear on this debate board.

I have multiple characters.
But, with each character, I try to play the game very differently...in general, avoiding quests and factions I've played with other characters. One character is the champion of Cyrodiil, another is the Listener of the Black Hand, another is the Mad God, etc.
What I wonder is this:
Could the achievements of different PCs be noted in a single worldspace, so that their completed effects were noted when playing other PCs.
Example...my Black Hand character enters the Temple district and would see a ruined temple caused by the final battle my Champion took part in.
My Sheogorath sees a restored Anvil Chapel because my Knight of Nine completed his quest, etc.
It gets even more complex with mods...ownership and restoration of castles and houses, etc.
I assume this is not something even close to a workable idea...but is there a plausible concept there? Maybe something that could be suggested for the next TES game?
Just a thought I wanted to share.
This concept has already been explored by Wyre, and has failed miserably. The Game engine can not create different character references, and switch control between each.
Wyre did create something similar, and fun too!
http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=28563
Wyre Morph allows you to dopple-gang/create new characters. However, infamy, bounty, factions, and so much more can not be switched. you will always have a infamy of 60, and a bounty of 60000.

It's tyrannical, and will ruin them in the long run.
BTW, lol. How long do you think it will take before the pirates crack this one anyways? I'm not going into detail due to Forum Rules, but they will eventually destroy this program just as they have destroyed all of the others.
It's only a matter of time, and the people who buy the game for real will stop buying those games all-together due to those restrictions. I'm hoping EA crashes into the ground because of things like these.
Long Live Bethesda! Long Live CD keys! GLORY TO THE EMPIRE!
Console Games aren't effected at least.

Cheap, and self supportive? Never. I will say that creating under-water facilities can be done without any problem of deep sea pressure. How? Build on the continental shelves first, while our technology works its way up to the task, then when we need to build em' deeper we will have the means to do so. Still, such facilities are expensive. The creation and use would be for the filthy rich, and used in order to escape the poor.
off topic....
Has anyone played BioShock lately?

I'd think that when the apocalypse comes, and government is dissolved due to disease, nobody will give a flying F*@# whether you have a class A, B, or C lisence. Just pull up to your local gun-store, grab an gun, and have some fun.
A little card that says you can own a pistol will do jack against anything when you are in a gunfight with someone with an M80 who just robbed an empty military base.

I hate how the Obama Administration will spend almost 1 trillion dollar health care reform that could leave as many as 40~ million uninsured.. Yet they will cut a 300 billion space program budget to nothing. We need real politicians in washington, because all I can see there right now is a circus with a bunch of grifters pickpocketing taxpayers to this stupid healthcare reform. If Washington is going to reform our healthcare they need to do it right..
No, my friend. There are actually no people that could possibly be considered representatives. Only people with lots of money throwing it at people who want money.
Economically, the space program does little for corporations, Health Care Reform may pocket some business owner a few bucks. Which one gets the pick? You decide.

I dont mean no offence to anybody in this thread. :turned:
What i care most about is value and meaning.
We need to really reduce spending and fast sounds good.
Remember we all sit in one boat.
Sorry, I was a bit angry at the healthcare bill passing. I meant no harm, and apologize if I gave any.
So, it's just like that then? Now what? I don't feel any different...
*Dies as a chest-burster punctures ribcage. As it rears its head, Obama appears as it's face*
OH GOD SAVE ME! HEALTHCARE IS KILLING MY CAPITALISM! GRAAAAAGH!

Hmm, I ordered a copy of FFXIV before I heard all of this. I guess it sits on the shelf like X-2. Hopefully. that Crystallis Nova has a bit more depth. Or, it might be another Crystal Chronicals.
@Overload
I agree when you say that FFIX was the last of the 'Age of Final Fantasy', but I got addicted to thirteen quite well. My only qualms was that there were no 'airships' of any significant source for the player to control. I liked 13 mainly due to the fact that you had the option of switching the retarted main character out with one of the three better ones (Fran, Balthier, Basch FTW). Vaan was a little wuss, and Penelo never even saw the light of day. I can't say much about Ashe, but she did do well in the story.

The fact that this is even a debate amazes me. Health care should be a basic human right for everyone devoid of class. How much greedy can you be? And then call yourself patriots at the same time? Shizophrenic much?
That behaviour is so guranteed the total opposite from what the founding father had in mind, but nevermind me and dont check on your own history ever. Just go on and throw around with bits of information without having even the slightest idea of the basis that this country is build upon.
Which i might say was GOOOD, but little from that remains to be seen atm. Also one reason because you are running out of money, but it would be wholly nother "debate"about transparency and things.
Then change finally comes and what many just can do is complain while having a political debate that is essential empty in nature.
I cannot take that bunch serious no more.
Why is health-care a basic human right? I think it's absurd to think that Health Care is just as important as a concept like Freedom. This country was built on the concept of liberalism and capitalism, and based on my readings of liberalism and capitalism, forcing the populace to devour government health care is nothing of the such. It was the founding father's wish to keep government less strict on the lives of people than forcing trade restrictions, and other restrictions. This was due to Britain's monopoly over all businesses in the Colonies in order to make money. We weren't asked to do pay high tariffs, and only export our goods to Britain. We were forced to, just like we are being forced to deal with Universal Health-care.
Health-care is no F*@#$*^ right of anyone. The only rights that I see on the constitution are life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Health-care does not equal 'LIFE' either, that stemmed from Britain hanging Colonials or Jailing them for little evidence, nor reason. Has nothing to do with band-aids, and pain-killers. Don't bring the founding father's view on healthcare into this debate. It has not place, nor ever will. If I misunderstood you point, forgive me.
This debate has quite a bit of meaning, you just apparently care little for it and would rather sit idle. I hope change comes around and hits me so hard that I die. Therefore, I won't need to use my new Government Insurance, or inflated Private Insurer.
What the healthcare bill should be about is finding some way to keep illegals from taking advantage of the current system. We need to really reduce some spending, and fast.

@Hoshi:You're gonna get this thread locked, we've already been warned, so next time you feel like mouthing off, don't! It's posts like that that'll get this thread locked, and it's generally a bad idea to go and claim people aren't patriots based on OPINION.
Nah, It'll probably be my post.

That's a no on the moderation. I have waaay to many things I need to do. It was fine while I was in spring break, but now work and school will probably wring me by the neck time wise.
It's good to see that you are learning something new Google, and if you learn it well, you may be able to surpass my meshing ability!

Uh...Wud choo talk'n 'bout Trandoshan? You mean like FDR's Executive Order 8958? (Most records are still classified so good luck finding references). Or do you mean FDR's creation of The United States Office of Censorship? You know the 'voluntary' ergo compulsory censorship of the media during WW2 that was meant to protect the war effort but used by him to silence oppostion from his own party on radio broadcasts? Or do you mean the time before that when he followed Hitler's lead and signed The Commincations Act of 1934? I'm confused as to which time he didn't limit the media and ultimately place it under government control.
"In journalistic circles it is a pleasing custom to speak of the Press as a ‘Great Power’ within the State. As a matter of fact its importance is immense. One cannot easily overestimate it, for the Press continues the work of education even in adult life. Generally, readers of the Press can be classified into three groups: First, those who believe everything they read; Second, those who no longer believe anything; Third, those who critically examine what they read and form their judgments accordingly. Nowadays when the voting papers of the masses are the deciding factor; the decision lies in the hands of the numerically strongest group; that is to say the first group, the crowd of simpletons and the credulous. … With ruthless determination the State must keep control of this instrument of popular education and place it at the service of the State and the Nation."
Looks to me like ol' FDR took a game plan right out of psycho Hitler's playbook, Mein Kampf.
..and yeah, Democrats would never do anything like that and certainly not an honest man like Obama. After all, there is no precedent? Right?
"Kendo-is-at-the-center-line-he-shoots-HE-SCORES-three-points!" :woot: ...and the crowd goes wild.
AND of course you know I'm just giving you a hard time. I like butting heads with you.
Of course, bud. Forgive me if I slip and take something seriously though, I'm sensitive when it comes to offending people.
Bringing up FDR... That's quite the trump card you have right there. I think that washes away what I said, minus the part about the possible revolution if it does happen. I want to keep Hitler out of the discussion, but I have to admit that America at current can't be put down by the government as of yet. We still have guns, and Germany's public didn't. That may be the differentiating factor between their public stagnation, and our revolution. Words like these put me on watch lists just like they did in Germany, true, but it is still in different situations.
Of course, although it seems like I support the government, it is in the contrary. I have seen many-a-documentary that relates what happens in America to What happens in Reichland. I try not to believe it though, my Nationalistic pride is still strong.
F.D.R.'s actions on the throne (Note the word 'Throne') were not 'Radical', and we were distracted by war to really notice it. Wait.... Distracted by war.... Familiar.... Afgha.... no nothing...
Never mind, typing from the soul again. Point is, they can't do anything radical right now. They have to do it slowly, over generations, in order to bring us down to Russia's level. Probably not in my lifetime, thankfully. My children, however, will probably be so desensitized to government violation of rights that they may be supportive of it.
I'm too worried about this. I'm only 19 for God's Sake.

As some of you imagine we are running low on paper. Someday the currency may change. Perhaps we'll use easier sources of money such as credits, although that's often pointed to space money so..... Anyway there has been talk that perhaps that when the day comes, trees will be a bigger priority and money will change. But if that's not the case perhaps inflation will force us to adapt or something. In my opinion I think someday it could change, but for what reason I don't know. But do you think we will still use paper money and coins?
Historically, paper was never money. Everything was a gold this, or a silver that. The Promise that is the dollar bill would be laughed at in that era. even when Paper Money first began, it was usually backed by some sort of Gold or Silver. I know for a fact that in today's economies, paper money is basically a gesture of the current economic power of the country. Paper money is just that, paper. When the age of promise on a piece of paper ends, we will go back to gold and silver. Mark my words.
Of course, the notion that trees will outweigh the coin is ludicrous in today's capitalistic nations. When trees become more important than money, that is when humanity is truly off the deep end...
I can't fathom it, but this is a good debate topic!

Right, and then we could end up like Venezuela, with the great Chairman..... Sorry, president Chavez....... You know, shutting down all of the contradictory news sources....
110% chance of the Third American Rebellion if that ever happens. Especially if Obama did it. Do you know who would lead the Revolution? Glen Beck, that's who. I would be on the frontlines, protecting my democracy that barely is. When they take the freedom that is news, despite it being as biased as hell, then they take away American freedom. It will not, and never will happen luckily. Even the prez can't do that kind of crap.

We exsist because we just do, because God put us here. We are ment to exsist to enjoy our life not question it. But It's not like I don't agree with you because it is strange how we play a roll in this life. Although I'm a loyal catholic, I must take your question with intrest. Are we here because God put us here, or are we here at random, or perhaps is there a bigger picture to all this?
I see little debate in this thread. There are plenty of opportunities to show opinion, but there is no shred of evidence to support any of it. Existence is unanswerable by anything by two things. Either Religion, or Darwin. That's it. I can't see this debate going any further than speculation, as there are no facts at all on the subject, and therefore no ability to counter either. That is, unless someone turns it into a religious debate. Which this thread has oddly, no succumbed to.
The Meaning of life is undebatable. I ask anyone to prove me wrong and start a true debate.

This might be an O.K. way to make easy interiors for use In-Game. Everything else is a little... what is the word... Sketchy? heh.
From what I see, the device creates vertices galore, but does not connect them. Not a problem, but still needs work. Otherwise, I can see this thing going into use when trying to make real graphic representations of ancient buildings for games that are in our era.

The Sun is owned by Murdoch as is the BBCs main competition Sky (they own a large share anyway). It's not only The Sun who have bought it up, other non-lefty outlets have also commented on it many times. It wouldn't be so bad if weren't forced to pay for the damn thing. Good blog here about the BBC http://biased-bbc.blogspot.com/
Rupert Murdoch seems to be the most important man in this thread.
I looked at the forum you posted, and I have to comment at the sheer size of it! I mean, there are about 1000 posts total. Though for good reason, surely.
About Sky... Correct me if I'm wrong
Sky, known as BSkyB(?) nowadays, is the combination of Murdoch's fail 'Sky Broadcasting', and British Satellite Broadcasting. It, apparently, is doing fine today, but back then it was unpopular. Despite everyone's want to have news that is unbiased, nobody watches unbiased news do to a lack of drama. It applies everywhere. 'Real News' is not very interesting to the masses. Add some drama, some nationalism, and some good ole fashioned 'somebody gets murdered', and suddenly things get popular.
Edit:
@Kendo
OK, I'll leave Murdoch out of this from here on out. Though it's going to be hard. Fox revolves around him, like planets around a sun...
This is probably the ONLY topic I'm going to have this much information on....
-
I know it's The Sun but this is what we have to put up with over here....
I complained about the bias on their political editors blog only to have my post removed and a warning via email about making "defamatory comments".
Isn't The Sun owned by 'Good Old' Rupert? That 'could' explain the bias, he he. However, their response to your comment is an obvious reaction by any news program across the board. I would ask you to post the same thing in Fox's, MSNBC's, and any others I don't know about, and I guarantee they would delete it or reply angrily to it.
@Kendo
Oh ho! Offering me some Texas Moonshine? Something else to fear!

Hmm... Im still waiting for my answer to request forum space at Silgrad tower, but if we get that it will be a lot more organized. Im going to start putting up claims once I finish the Skywatch exterior. Trandoshan, if we get forum space at Silgrad Tower, would you like to be a moderator?
Perhaps, perhaps not. That's a big job, but at least it will get me some more experience in that area. I will think about it, and give you my answer later. Update on meshes, I'm currently working on them, but I'm also working on another project of mine as well. I will get them to you ASAP, but it will be a little while. I'm trying to rework the house yet again, but it is either too detailed, or too simple. I do have a few others to add too, but I'd rather just surprise you.
BTW, did any of the other meshes I sent give you any trouble? The collision should have, but that remains to be seen.

Yeah and he needed it. It was a refreshing change to see him shift his eyes to the left when he lied and dodged questions. Teleprompters in a controlled atmosphere is why his cult was what it was. Let him stumble and be human like the rest of us. I couldn't care less about that meat sack Baer, but seeing Obama squirm like a worm on a hot sidewalk made my day. I wish new ground had been covered though. Tired of the same old rehash of staged questions and stilted answers.
LMAO, sorry Kendo, but you become more and more scary as you continue to post. Not that I dislike seeing the fear in people's eyes under certain situation...
Meat sacks, and worms. You sir, are a formidable.

Scripted spears(As blade weapon) so that they use different anims
in Classic Discussion
Posted
Hmm, I really do hope that a decent spear animation is created. Especially, a phalanx-esque style of fighting. The ones as of yet are good, but not Alexander-style. Just a bit picky.
On scripting animation changes, i have one bit of input. While there may be a way to use gamemode to use a spear, each spear would have to be listed in the script. An easier method that may work is using object scripts. That way if another author decided to create a spear, her could refer to the master file and attach the script to the spear when he wanted. OnEquip, and OnUnEquip would work in this situation. Otherwise, I think Deadly Reflex/Unnecessary Violence has already done this, or something similar.
