Same problem here. I tried disabling "save on travel," "save on wait," that didn't work. I even tried " tcl" and found myself in a pale blue haze after I (thought), I walked through the door. When I turned "tcl" on again, I was back in the same place. Also, heavily modded, and really, going back and testing each mod separately, after dungeon crawling, through Skyrim and Dawnguard, I may leave it there.

Problem Solved: The problem originated with Chrome! Thanks to BBen BTW for his guide that helped me get started with manual downloads. I had so many that in a vain effort to resolve the clutter at the bottom of my desktop, I mistakenly closed the download bar on Chrome and could not restore it. I signed on from Firefox to NMM and the Download Manager worked faultlessly. So, if you cleared NMM through your firewall, and your anti-virus, if you're using Chrome, you may want to try another browser.

I too am at my wit's end with NMM. The manager will not download files. I have made certain that my Firewall permissions are set to accept NMM, I have turned off Adblock on the site, I have added NMM to the "whitelist of bitdefender. I have downloaded several mods manually. The NMM Mod screen shows three folders. I extracted all mods into "Downloads," since none of the instructions specifies in which folder they were installed. I disabled my computer after reinstalling Steam, in an external hard drive, only to find that all of my Steam library was wiped out. Steam no longer appeared in "change programs" in Control Panel, so I deleted it manually. When I rebooted, some of my installed programs were gone too. I had to do a Repair of Win7 Ultra but still had to reinstall my programs. After Skyrim was finished installing, I downloaded two mods from the Steam Workshop. Both installed without problem. I took control of the Steam folder on my G Drive and opened the permissions to "everyone." When I rescanned my computer, I was advised that the (X86) program file for Skyrim was not present. I had downloaded it out of the X86 Program files Also I received a message that the NMM program (that I downloaded today) was outdated and that I would be unable to download mods. I know, I know, I know, I have seen very nasty comments from users, and nasty responses accusing users of sheer stupidity for being unable to make Nexus work. I used NMM before a Windows 10 installation crashed my computer and had no difficulty. But now, I am on the verge of giving up and sticking to the Steam Store. The site's operators may believe they have created a simple system but it is not very simple. When I try to download using the manager, it by way of a graphic that the download is loading, then nothing happens. If i click "manual" the Mod downloads to my download folder. I tried extracting both to Steam......Skyrim. Data and tried to activate the files with no result. For what it's worth, it might be useful to let users know that a download is in progress, or that it has failed, giving appropriate procedures. My download attempts simply go nowhere.
