So I'm planning to re-install Skyrim after I've upgraded my GPU and finished a playthrough on PS4.
The only thing is, I have so many issues with original Skyrim.
Then why not switch to SSE and SSE is a lot more stable than SLE, being a 64-bit game along with DX11 doesn't make it worse than SLE. That's what I suggest you to do. :smile:
I mean "things I don't like about the game". I can run it just fine. I figured that was clear given the title and rest of the post, but I'll go ahead and edit it. Thanks though

The only thing is, I have so many
issues withthings I don't like aboutoriginalunmodded Skyrim.I love the game as a whole, but it's animations are terrible, the difficulty settings are straight up bad and many major quest lines (e.g. Mages) are boring.
I'm looking for a list of mods that might improve some of my gripes with the game. Here's a list of what I'd love to see:
Combat Animations - The current animations are clunky, and floaty with characters 'skating' around), for reference, I don't intend on playing female characters, so would prefer no feminine animation packs
Difficulty - The difficulty settings are more or less "deal less damage and take more" or the opposite. That's boring. I love games like Dark Souls, where difficulty isn't based on damage, but attacks and strategy
Progression - Sometimes I feel progression is slow. I'd love a really great perk mod, but also want to be able to obtain additional perk points outside of just levelling.
Reasons to Progress - I'd love a system that limits use (not finding) of equipment. For example like Runescape or other games, needing specific levels to use certain gear. But also a system that is rewarding.
Better Magic - Magic is boring, but I love magic. I'd love a way to "fast cast" specific spells or bind them to keys. Additionally more spells and a more balanced system.
More NPCs - I feel like there's not enough NPCs in places, especially the big cities and some of the colleges (e.g. Winterhold)
Better Rewards - I'd love better, more balanced rewards. Things like more gold, actual experience for skills, etc.
More Quests - I'd really love some interesting, well made quests with good rewards.
Better Races - I'd really love if all races felt unique
Better Faces - Holy s***, everyone is so ugly! I'd love it if the faces were a bit nicer, but also not necessarily making *everyone* beautiful. There should be diversity.
Mark/Recall - I want to disable Fast Travel, so this is important
Better Followers - Generally I'd like more customisation of my followers and the ability to have 2 or 3 that wont fight each other every 2 seconds.
More Creatures - I'd really love more creatures, but only ones that actually fit the Lore and the game, so they should be more or less graphically consistent
More GREEN - Skyrim is a bit too grey for me to play for the 5th time. I'd love it if it looked a little more like a Winter timberland than a desolate snowscape.
Better Shouts - Shouts are neat, but I only ever end up using 2 or 3. I'd love a reason to actually use them and not have to pause every 3 seconds to do so.
More Interesting Stealth - From Sneak to Pickpocket, I'd love a more interesting Sneak system that is actually rewarding, more backstabs, more tools, but I'd like to actually be actually useful.
More Interesting Dungeons - I find the dungeons to be a little boring, they all feel the same. I'd love if dungeons kept me on my toes.
Better Dragons - Dragons are boring. They're either too easy or take years to kill. I'd love each 'level' of dragon to be harder, but not take forever to kill. More interesting.
Better "End-game" - once you hit around level 30 or 50, things get too easy. I'd love for Enemies to scale, but not necessarily always. Maybe even in just certain areas?
Better Vampires, Werewolves, etc - I'd love if they were more complex, better systems, etc.
Better Factions - I would really like it if the factions interacted with the world more.
Better Combat - Aside from the difficulty, combat is a little boring. It's all just who can hit who harder. I'd really like if the "special moves" actually played a part
Better Merchants - It always annoyed me that merchants had basically no gold and I'd have to sell my things for a quarter of the cost. I'd love a mod that 1) Gave merchants more useful things and 2) Gave them better things to sell
More Balanced Weapons - I always found the weapons to be poorly balanced. I'd like to see actual trade-offs between weapon sets, both influenced by perks and by the weapons themselves.
I think that's generally everything that I'm looking for. I'd seriously appreciate any help or suggestions regarding these, or even any general suggestions on how to get the most out of my next playthrough!

I was looking for a mod that has a fire spell called "Inferno" and another that I can't remember the name of. It was a rapid fire ice spear spell.
I don't remember the name of it. It had a bunch of magic spells. I think I deleted it. Can anyone help me?

Looks quite nice. What I would suggest is putting an extensive amount of work into A. Making the blade actually look sharp and B. Giving it a decent texture. So many mods on the nexus are sword mods, with really nice looking meshes, but the textures look absolutely crap. It makes the mod really miss-out on what it could have been. Don't make the same mistake :D

I'm not trying to knock your work or anything, but;
Is all you have done, simply changed the green on glass armour, to red. This is a big problem I've seen lately. Everybody is doing these texture changes on glass armour and calling it Obsidian. Be more creative, at least. Call it Blood Glass or something. This is also, possibly the 3rd red re-texture of glass I've seen.

I think some people are close but finding errors, we know it's possible because the devs have done it before, they've said so.
We know it's possible because people did it in Oblivion, even though it was a different scripting language.
Currently the closest things we have to it that you can currently use are:
Non-flying dragons
OR
The Dragon Races REVAMPED mod, which I HIGHLY recommend. It's absolutely amazing, when the finally fix the last few tiny bugs in it, it will be one of the greatest mods in game, IMO.

Hi all! First and foremost, if this is in the incorrect section, feel free to move it.
I'm looking for a save file with the following completed:
Main Quest
Thieves Guild
Dark Brotherhood
College
Werewolf (at least not cured)
Companions
Optional:
Most, if not all, Daedric lines completed.
Civil War (preferably Imperial Side, but Stormcloaks will do, of course)
No spouse.
I'm looking for it to have most/all VANILLA spells unlocked, same with shouts. (please, no 'secret' ones attainable only via console)
Save must be clean or mostly clean. No cheats preferably. MUST NOT BE BEHEADED. Jzargo, SHOULD, be alive, if possible.
Stats are not important, I'll simply mod those.
The reason why I'm requesting this:
I stupidly used TIM command and got myself beheaded and forgot to start again, thus having 90% of the game completed with no head. This causes problems, not only this but my game is very broken because of incorrect modding. I really have no wish to start all over again.
If anyone is happy to fill this criteria, let me know. I will greatly appreciate it. :)

My idea was something like, if you look Anduril (Aragon's sword from LOTR) and made it look evil (make the blade black and make the hilt a little more... elaborate) it would turn out like I was thinking.
I'd be happy to help make the character... if this was Oblivion. The CK just confuses me as far as character creation goes, where as the CS was simple to use. :P I'll keep an eye out for your mod though :D
Indeed! I see what you're getting at, there IS a few lord of the rings swords out, maybe you can grab one and edit it to your liking? if you don't know how to do so maybe I'll take a gander at it...I'll keep in touch
Hahaha I'm only JUST learning about 3D modelling in my course (I'm looking to become a Game Designer and the course involves a 3D aspect) and I HATE it. Hi All!
I've searched and searched but I simply can't find any greatswords that fit a dark styled character. They don't exist. Sure, there is Daedric, but it's poorly made. Bethesda did some fantastic work with the armour, but when they got the the weapons, they sort of said "eh, f*ck it. Use the same basic model and change the size, maybe a few adaptations"
So what I'm requesting is that a modder make an evil styled sword that would be befitting for an evil character. Preferably the model would be symmetrical (so not a Katana) and possibly black and red themed. Hopefully if possible with an intricate design. Basically what the Daedric Greatsword should have been.

So I think there is some sort of bug with my hand to hand. Whenever i hit something it flies off screen and pops up behind me. I actually see it move but it's quite fast. This happens while I'm a werewolf too. I don't have this problem with anything else nor when an NPC hits me or another NPC, JUST when I do it. Anyone have any ideas?

Going through the creation kit at the moment and it appears that the 'head' is an actual object. I've found that it has a particular ID based on your race and gender. I really hope someone can create a fix for this soon.

I'm having the same problem, turned on IM just to get through a really nasty bit in the companions quest chain and got decapitated. Didn't notice the glitch till after all my other saves had been overwritten.
This is already my second game cuz my 1st one got glitched up to. Some kind of ring effect issue. So I really dont want to start over AGAIN.
Tried help in the console for decapitated, actor, head, anything I could think of to find the flag to no avail. Any help would be MUCH appreciated.
Refer to my thread on this (basically just search "headless" and it should come up somewhere). If you can use that info (I don't remember it atm) then PLEASE post in the thread. If you can remove the flag then by the nine (or eight, you heathen!) do so, please! :D

I would also like to add that upon entering the same command on a character that has NOT been beheaded it returns the following:
Last Hit limb Is >> -1
So I'm assuming that if no limbs have been hit that the value is -1
I believe that all the relevant functions can be found by typing
help LIMB 0
And scrolling up

So it's no secret that to date there is a bug that allows the player to become irreversibly headless and the fixes for it are... well... they don't work too well.
So while looking through the little command thing I typed "help" and scrolled through (PageUp, for those that don't know how). I found this:
GetKillingBlowLimb
Now, when you type:
player.getkillingblowlimb
The command returns the following:
Last Hit Limb is >> 1
Now, I'm going to assume that 1 = head
Therefore we can assume that there is SOME sort of command that sets the head to become "missing" even AFTER all the bug fixes (I've managed to keep my head and not have that scar appear and not have my body ragdoll, but it falls off when I mount a horse or do any animation that is semi-cinematic)
So, I don't know if this helps anyone but I'm going to guess that there is someone who could use this information to make a script of some sort to fix this common bug.
Thoughts, comments, rants etc. are welcome.

Can i just say to those who say this is from guildwars, yes it looks like it, maybe it is, but so what? To my knoledge at no point did trebor_armbreaker say this was his concept drawing. There are loads of mods which bring weapons and armour from other games and movies into Oblivion. Also it does have the name of the artist at the bottom, and i'm sure
trebor_armbreaker will give credit where needed.
But just back off, it's going to be a great mod and i will download it.

Hey all!
I'm having a problem with my arrows, whenever I fire them at somebody they don't persist. They do damage but aren't left in the body and I lose my arrows. They also disappear when I fire them into wooden objects (although so far I have only found this to be the case with Hatred's Soul arrows with the wood bit). Every single arrow I fire is completely lost and I can't retrieve it. If I fire it into a corpse it stays there though.
Anyone else having/had this problem? If so, how do you fix it?

The most recent and commonly occurring crash is whenever I wait before 6am in-game. Yes, I know. I'm thinking it may have something to do with dusk/dawnfang?

CTD During "A Blade in the Dark" fight
in Skyrim SE

I'm getting CTDs during the dragon fight in A Blade in the Dark. I can't quite figure out what's causing it, but the one consistent thing is DLC2EncExplodingSpiderSCRIPT.psc seems to have some kind of issue every time.
Could anyone take a look at my Papyrus log and mod list and point me in the right direction? Thanks.
