The game has been working perfectly. I'm on Win8 and this happened when I first bought it as well? Eventually it started working. Steam right? I believe it to be a steam issue. I just bought FNV(use to play console) for PC and have this same issue and for months Civ4 worked but then stopped and blackscreened then minimized. Eventually it worked again, although I am not sure if it working again is to happen again. It is weird I would like a fix for this as well. It is irritating.

Hey all! I'm Daedric from TTG, although my username there is now cantevermakeupmyind(the name explains a lot). I've done a lot of PC gaming but not in the FPS and RPG game side of things. I started with Civilization 1-4 and SWEAW. Eventually I moved on to Star Wars Galaxies my first MMO which I started in late '06. For most other games, TES, FO, ME, etc I played console. I always wanted to go PC but I wasn't sure how to build the right rig and I didn't want to leave all the e-pals I made through xboxlive. I'm a young lad of Ruso-Lithuanian mix and more than anything I love working out. I someday hope to become a professional BB'er like Kai Greene. For my music tastes I'd say I'm well-coloured. I tend to like most genres, except country and modern rap. Though I love orchestrated music, old school rap and some oldies, as well as rock, I mainly listen to EDM. A few facts about me: Supposedly I have "Asperger's Syndrome". Although I do not believe in most psychological diagnoses I know I am very different than most. I've had poor social skills most of my life. I am slowly getting better and if you talk to me I may not always understand your jokes and sometimes certain concepts or phrases may go completely over my head. I cry at a lot of movies and shows. (for good reasons of course) I am very creative although when putting things down into writing I have troubles. I sometimes need people to make my ideas become more than an idea. I am left-handed. I hope I didn't come off bad. If you read all of this thanks and I hope to enjoy it here.
