  1. Hi, thanks for replying. I've always launched the game through an SKSE shortcut on my desktop. I'm 100% sure my mods are SE compatible, because I downloaded them from the Skyrim SE Nexus page. I doubt that the issue is related to my MO2 setup, since I've played on this installation for over 150 hours without any problems. This new issue is especially strange to me since I haven't changed anything about the game, or any specific files on my computer. It started happening completely out of the blue. Edit: Steam is always running when I launch the game.
  2. Hi everyone, I'm having trouble launching Skyrim SE. Whenever I try to launch it through SKSE (connected to MO2) or the Steam launcher, the game automatically alt+tabs during the Bethesda logo. I cannot open the game's window because everytime I click it, it alt+tabs by itself again. A couple of times, I managed to keep the game's window open but it was just a black screen. I run a mostly vanilla playthrough, with only the following mods: Unofficial Skyrim SE Patch Winter is Coming Dragonbone Ebonsteel Armor 360 Walk and Run Plus As I mentioned previously, I also run the game through SKSE. This issue only started happening on Sunday night. When I played Skyrim the day before, it ran without any problems. In fact, I have never run into any problems on this installation before. I haven't changed anything with my mods, my load order or anything on my computer, so I really don't know what's causing this issue. Any help or insight is appreciated. Thank you.
  3. Thank you for responding. "uGridsToLoad" is at the default 5 and "uExteriorCellBuffer" is at 36. I also noticed that the biggest FPS drop so far happens just in front of the bridge in Primm, possibly caused by the entire town textures loading in. Looking at the original post, it was written in a rush and is not completely comprehensible. The FPS drop is almost certainly tied to LOD and object generation, since it only happens when the game is loading new stuff in, otherwise, it runs at 60FPS all the time with no problems. I tried following your tips in the forum post I linked in the OP, but FNVLODGen somehow messed up (or I did) and the LOD became even worse than before, with solid objects in the distance disappearing and no positive impact on the performance. We actually talked about the "slow loading LOD" issue before, in a previous post of mine a long time ago... There was no concrete solution, just that it could be a hardware problem, specifically tied to my PC's motherboard, but since the bug doesn't happen in other games, I'd wager to say that it's a Fallout-specific problem. Anyway, thank you for taking the time to look into this again. Hopefully, the problem can be fixed for good this time.
  4. I'm hoping someone here could help me since I am kind of desperate at this point. I am setting up a modded FNV using EssArrBee's "Fear and Loathing" guide as well as Dirty Weasel Media's YouTube series on Mod Organizer. So far, everything is well except for one crucial thing. Whenever I am in the Wasteland a pass a certain distance, the game dips to about 30 FPS. I'm thinking it might be related to this problem:Â As you can see in the video, my game seems to have trouble loading distant objects at the right time and basically loads them right in my face. And whenever something loads, I get an FPS drop. I posted a topic about this on Nexus Forums a while ago, didn't find a solution. Some folks blamed it on my memory card but I don't have this problem in other games, so I doubt that's the issue. I also thought it's related to NMC's texture pack but I disabled it and the FPS still dips. Lastly, I checked stuff on Google and found this:https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/7128101-framerate-drop-due-to-lod/ I ran FNVLODGen, as is also suggested in EssArrBee's guide, but it only made things worse. Most LOD, like rocks or the Repconn dome was completely missing and the rest looked absolutely horrible with messed up textures. I had the NMC patch and everything, still messed up. 5. Alright well... I guess I will have to live with these bugs. On a brigher note, I can have an excuse for the rendering in NV and make up in my character's backstory that he is short-sighted :D There are two things I don't understand from your reply. First off, why would the shop offer me a motherboard that is out of date with my current components? And what do you mean by "leave them running"? Should I not quit my PC?
  6. Great... That's another thing I probably won't be able to do... If I do manage to take it to the shop, after they diagnose the problem, will they be able to fix it as well? And is it going to cost a fortune? Can't really say I could do the other solutions either... So... I guess that if I want to play New Vegas, I will have to live through these bugs, right?
  7. I am stalling here. But for a reason. I certainly am not going to mess around with clocking my GPU. I can barely install software - this is WAY out of my league. My GPU is probably no longer in warranty... However, what is worth noting is that the issue happened mid-playtrough back when I had my old AMD Radeon card... Switching the GPUs did not fix it. Does that somehow eliminate the possibility of the issue being tied to my current GPU?
  8. So I reinstalled the game again to have a completely vanilla experience. The LOD issue still persists but I managed to record a short video of it. I don't think you will see what I mean, but it is worth a try. I tried to aim the gun towards the road which was not yet generated, in case you're wondering. Edit: This time, I reinstalled the game in English. Mojave Music Radio is now, for some reason, working properly. Perhaps a conflict with the Czech version?
  9. So today, I took another crack at installing ENBoost and actually done it correctly. However, my game now looks as if anisotropic filtering was off, even when it is on. In my terms, objects in the distance now have these sharp thin black lines around them. Taking a screenshot of the distance would be pointless, you would not see anything because everything looks so "sharp". As for the LOD generating slowly, it did not help. However, it seems that ENBoost has completely messed up my game. After installation, I noticed a potentially game-breaking bug. I tried to take at least 5 screenshots but Steam did not save them. Argh... Let me try to explain it. I could see objects like grass or palm trees through rocks. Also, the small radioactive pools littered across the ground were now covered with a green box until I stood on them. If this explanation is terribly unclear, I will try to launch the game, not through the 4GB Enabler, but through the default lancher and then take a screenshot. Yes, the hands glitch also happens to me in Fallout 3 from time to time. Only reloading a save helps. The MMR bug is 100% not caused by a mod. It has been happening since I bought the game about 3 years ago. I had absolutely no mods installed back then. I tried to install an expander for the station to see if it stabilizes the thing - no such luck. After the current installation, I, again, have no radio mods installed. This is also a purely vanilla thing. If screenshots are really necessary, I will most likely have to reinstall the game again and wipe the slate clean, given how it is now all messed up with ENBoost and that I have the texture pack installed.
  10. The video you sent me is nothing like my problem. The person's LOD loads in rather gradually. Mine is blurry, then I walk closer to it, get a small frame drop and the LOD is loaded in. I am not getting any "status" message with ENBoost. Figures that I installed it wrong. I have no idea how to fix this. I followed the steps in a video (The installation instructions on the Nexus Wiki were still very unclear to a technophobe like me) very closely, yet... Nothing. I have installed a texture pack (OJO Bueno in particular) just to try out whether it gets better. It actually doesn't. In fact, the frame drop when the LOD loads in is now higher, once I got from 60 FPS to 15... I am hoping that "New Vegas Stutter Remover" can perhaps fix this issue. Will play with that tomorrow. That's about all I can do. The bug fortunately doesn't seem to harm any games besides the Fallouts, though I have seen a glimpse of it in Skyrim. That game, however, is unplayable even after dozens of reinstalls. However, when I playtested New Vegas for a little while, I noticed a very strange glitch, not at all related to the main problem. After switching from first person, while moving, to third person and stopping to stand still, my character's hands have shrinked... At first they only got smaller, the second time the fingers actually "fell into" the palm of the hand. When I moved, the hands have gotten bigger again, but standing still again made them shrink. The only solution to this was performing a heavy attack with a melee weapon. Besides that, I would also point out a bug that has been happening to me ever since I bought the game. The Mojave Music Radio station does not play songs properly. It plays about 10 seconds of a song, then switches to another one which also plays for 10 seconds, then to another one and so on. All other stations work fine. When MMR is heard through a radio aside from the Pip-Boy and I switch to it, the song currently playing is played normally, but the next one is glitched. Just mentioning these in case you know any advice. If I decide to play the game again despite the problems, I would like to be clear about this.
  11. "Ten feet away" is again, an overstatement. I could not describe the problem very well. If you still know where to look for them, would you mind sending me the videos of other people's "pop-in" issues? I would like to see them and perhaps compare them to my problem. With the last paragraph, I take it you just say that I should just play the game with the issue. I might do it if we indeed ran out of possible solutions. If I do so, as I pointed out, the installation of ENB was a bit messy. I believe I got it all right in the end, but still, would you recommend reinstalling the game again to avoid future problems? Again, this also happens in Fallout 3, to a lesser extent, but it still does. Might be the Gamebryo engine not being comfortable with my PC. What kind of bugs me out with this is, that the problem has been persistent on two graphics cards and three differently modded playtroughs. It might just be a common thing with the game and I noticed it randomly. God only knows.
  12. I have actually deleted the "FalloutNV" folder in Documents. The game, upon installation, created a new one. Thus, I doubt anything in the INI files changed. As I said before, this bug is also prominent in Fallout 3. LOD loading in too close on certain objects, grass popping in, etc. Are you sure this behaviour is not normal? I am too frustrated to tell. If it is, I might as well just live with it. If not... I will install ENBoost and try again... Though this problem seems unfixable. Edit: The ENB did absolutely nothing apart from getting me as angry and stressed out as I possible can be with the installation.
  13. So, the 4GB Enabler did not help at all. Any other suggestions? In a private conversation, you mentioned ENB Boost. Would you mind providing me a link to download it, as well as installation instructions? They are very unclear on the ENB page.
  14. The pop-in is the exact same problem I was talking about from the start. It relates to both the LOD and smaller objects, though sometimes, even bigger buildings like the concrete walls of Primm also generate in front of me. I have not tampered with the .INI files yet. The game is 100% vanilla, nothing is changed yet. I will try to install NVSE and the 4GB Enabler tonight and let you know if that changed anything.
  15. Hello. I have a bug in Nev Vegas that I cannot seem to fix no matter how I try. It started happening on an old save file. The LOD as well as objects like grass, bushes and road signs load in only after coming close to them. For instance, I could be walking along a road. Ten feet away from me, the road is all blurry (LOD) and grass pops in right in front of my eyes. A few days ago, I did a complete clean reinstall of the game. None of my old save files or mods are present. I only made a test character and ran around a bit - the bug is still very present. However, New Vegas is not the only game that suffers from this issue. In fact, Fallout 3 and 4 do so too, but to lesser extent. Any help or insight would be appreciated. My system specs are: Nvidia GTX970 4GB Intel i5 4570 3.20Ghz 16GB RAM (If any more components need to be stated, please let me know) Thanks in advance.
