Right now, melee sneaking has no benefits. - Bad damage. A crossbow has 1d8. Only a rapier can compete. Daggers, shortswords... no matter the benefits I can think of (throwable, offhand attack) nothing is worth. Only the finesse 2h longsword with 1d10, but... the list of negatives goes on. - After a melee sneak attack, hiding is disabled. I don't know why. Crossbows can do 2 sneak attacks in a row. Or tree. - Difficulty to get close to the enemy while sneaking and to then retreat to a safe position. I suppose a simple extra 1d6 for melee sneaking would be fair compared to the ranged version? How hard is that to make? And, I won't use it, but having another extra 1d6 when using daggers would rock. The iconic, main sneak weapon for the rogue archetype, is useless right now :'c EDIT: I just found it's a bug not being able to hide after attacking. Removing the skill and adding it again solves it. Still too many disadvantages

Making Space Travel Not Pointless

Do you realise there is already a mod that allows you to literally fly between planets without any loading screen? The only limitation it has, it that it needs to trigger a save/load to make planets stuff load. But the possibility to fly between planets is there, as an example. Being able to modify internal things of the game, it sounds viable. I'm not a professional programmer. I never touched any engine besides Game Maker. But I do have a Computer Engineering grade and work, and I don't totally understand why are they constantly saying that there are "engine limitations". ANY ENGINE allows you to do all the basic stuff: create and check variables, arrays, objects... you have type of data: booleans, numbers, strings... you can do for, while loops... you can have events to detect buttons pressess... you can draw things in the screen... Even you can make a game from 0 in notepad! I find hard to believe that a engine really doesn't allow you to make stuff. Maybe some engine makes it difficult, or doesn't allow to magically do some stuff that now is AUTOMATICALLY DONE by the engine basics. But I refuse to believe that you LITERALLY can't do other stuff. They just don't want it. Cost expensive. Time expensive. Who cares. But they don't WANT it, it's not that they CAN'T do it. Give enough time and any modder will achieve it. Because almost ANYTHING can be done in ANY engine. Maybe I'm doing mistakes, and yes, I don't know about engines. But I know about programming, I have decades making games almost from zero, and I can't believe they can't do stuff in their engine. Or at least stuff that is CLOSE to that. I can buy an small "loading" when reaching a planet. But not being able to fly between planets and make events trigger? Just I can't believe it -
I just found that this only happens with the Cutter. That doesn't count as a weapon for this. Doesn't even has sneak multiplier with ranged attacks. I just melee-bashed with my particle rifle and I got the same multiplier as ranged (the x3, skill level two). Max: x4 with max (though I have x3.8, it some be because of some magazine). THIS IS WONDERFUL! Now I can sneak and gunfight with the same weapon! Now the bash perk has some sense to exist, cause base damage is a bit low, but with the x4 it adds a bit!

Mod/Command to mine with weapons?

I just discovered there is an in-game method to mine all inorganic resources arround. You get in in the main quest (spoilers). Now I don't need the laser and I can go only with my weapon, HERE WE GO! It's solved! -
I would love to hit a rock with my melee weapon and mine it, not having to carry the cutter. Anyone knows if it's a thing? If I would know how to, with a command, get the id of the object I'm pointing to, and do "if elses", i could do it... but IDK if you can do it in a bat file...

For what I'm trying, melee weapons don't appear in workbench so you can't change their names... Do we know any other legal, or command-based, or mod-based way to do this?

Rename folders and files to "wakizashi" and it will work with that weapon!
