  1. NWN2: Is it possible to write a script to automatically install 'The Neverwinter Vault' https://neverwintervault.org/ mods into Vortex, and then hopefully into a collection? Vortex puts mods into the "Documents/Neverwinter Nights 2" folder". A 'The Neverwinter Vault' mod gives you files that need to be put into your "Documents/Neverwinter nights 2/override" folder. To convert a 'The Neverwinter Vault' mod into a Vortex mod we need to unzip the mod into a directory called "override". Then zip up the "override" directory plus its contents. We now have a vortex-compatible mod. Is there a method of telling Vortex to automatically put mods in an override directory while installing? Presumably by pointing to a prewritten script that does just that?
  2. I have a skyrim modlist with around 1200 mods. Somehow I managed to break it. At some point, I think I did a purge and deploy. Then I got a series of error messages that I did not understand like files had changed outside vortex, and such. Anyway, now all the mods have become uninstalled and have lost their rules. Probably take a day or two to add them back. So what did I do wrong, can I fix it by getting back the rule information and how do I prevent it from happening again? I'll make a point to use collections to save my work online from now on.
  3. Wow! No sooner have I started this thread than the mods started working! Should have posted yesterday. The last thing I did was to go randomly around modifying the permissions everywhere to give as much access to as many people as possible. Maybe something there worked.
  4. I uninstalled skyrim se from my c directory (with 80GB free) and installed to my f directory (with 8000GB free). (Actually, I have installed and uninstalled numerous times over the last day or so in an effort to get everything working.) I added skse and enb to main Skyrim directory as necessary. Copied and updated mods to the same drive. Skyrim is installed at "F:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Skyrim Special Edition". When I go to the games tab, the three dots on skyrim this is the path entered; confirmed by clicking on the link. In vortex settings mod staging directory is set to "F:\Vortex Mods\{game}"; the mods are actually in "F:\Vortex Mods\skyrimse". The deployment method is set to "no deployment method available", apply button is disabled. When I run "deploy mods" from the bar in the mods tab it starts but is still going after several hours - the profile page is not available. The "F:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\Skyrim Special Edition\Data" seems to have various esp files and stuff for the mods; "A-X". I enabled all the esp files in the Plugin tab. When I run Skyrim no mods are ever working.
  5. Remove the temple minigame. Either 1. Gain the power immediately after you enter a temple. 2. Gain the power after you pop the first light bubble. The current upgrade mod where you gain all powers on gaining unity is too powerful and destroys immersion.
  6. Every city has already an info board with a list of key buildings. Interacting with that will add 'find' missions for all those buildings. Then you have a new mission tab you can use for locate mission. Kind of like how you can get directions from your iPhone. So select tab, have list of cities, open city and have list of buildings, activate mission for building you want.
  7. When I got this error it was because the enviormental varable PATH did have the address of the java bin directory.
  8. Update java, it is jre7 already JRE7 Ah thanks updated to Java7 and it works. Bit confused here is Java1.7 the same as Java7?
  9. Hi I have the problem that when I run “java -jar XSHARPE.jar -v 2644500” I get the “could not find the main class: XSHARP. Program will exit” error. My Java lib directory is “C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre6\lib”. When I run “echo %classpath%” I get “C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre6\lib”. Any idea? spent most of a day on this, getting blood all over the wall.
  10. Is there a mod anywhere that allows you to refuse skill gains from books and quests. [RANT] I find this the most anoying thing about Skyrim. The assumption that you will always want to take a skill even if you will never use it, and it will just weaken your character relative to the world [\RANT]
