  1. Good call. Thanks Novem! I actually just scrapped the project, but found out that it was because my weapon wasnt matched a few degrees when lining it up with a template weapon. My other attempts have been since successful.
  2. So after four straight days of learning everything from C4D to Nifskope I finally have a weapon made! (Huzzah) It loads into skyrim just fine, but its placement is off. It needs to be rotated in the hand and on the hip like -30 degrees or so Id guess. Not overly good at which axis is which, but looking at it in nifskope its the "p" rotation. Problem is no matter what value I adjust it wont move in game. I dont know if it matters or is related, but when I drop the weapon from inventory it always ends up parallel to the ground with one side of the handguard falling into the ground. Same when its on the hip, the one side of the handguard goes into my hip. Any thoughts? I realize my info may be spotty...Im new to this and cant quite come up with the words lol. Sorry and thanks!
  3. Ok so I want to make some dungeons. I have my interior cells made and I want to make like a cave entrance from the exterior cells. Problem is when I load up an exterior cell (lets say whiterun world cell) I cannot see any of the terrain as a landmark as to where Im putting my door. No rocks, no trees, no mountains at all in the render window. Is there some trick to getting all the world objects to load so I can actually know where Im placing my stuff? Thanks!
  4. Yeah, I probably could have done some more researching before I posted but hopefully this thread will help others who have the same issue. Though I do have something else. I wanted to create some different "shouts" using custom audio clips. (Considering doing some voice work for my quests and actually recording new shouts.) I was tinkering around under the shouts category in the CK, but I cant seem to find where the audio files reference...aka lets say change Unrelenting force to the voice it would say for whirlwind sprint (not going to do that just an example.) Any ideas on how the heck to do that?
  5. I see, Thanks! I also found out that if you do "Help (item name)" it will tell you its additem code also. For anyone who was interested in knowing lol.
  6. Im trying to work with making new weapon effects, the problem is once I have made my weapon I have no idea how to aquire it in game. Is there some way to locate my new items ID so I can player.additem? Or whats the roundabout to this? Thanks!
  7. I came upon a realization that made me laugh quite a bit. The textures worked fine. Trouble is, it wont work for the half-aternia or w/e they are called. If you use any other race it works fine! Also have X races working. There never REALLY was an issue, just a slight oversight. I should have known being that there was no mod for that race as its custom as it is. But hey, thank you guys for all the answers. You did help because I have obmm working like a charm in nehrim. Cheers guys!
  8. Sorry for the multiple posts. Consider this topic closed. Trouble is you cant be half-aternia or however its spelled. Switching over to the games equivalent to imperial worked fine. Thanks to all who replied!
  9. Ive also tried to use every setting for Archive invalidation through obmm and updating. Still the same thing. I had to move that ini file over just to get obmm to work. Im so frustrated with this I could scream lol
  10. See, I get an issue when trying to use the manual version when I try to run obmm from nehrim. " Oblivion mod manager must be installed to oblivion's default directory. If you have moved or renamed 'Oblivion_default.ini' Please replace it." Ugh, What now? Also, as far as updated OBMM, Im not showing any updates from anything after 2010 for obmm on TESnexus. So as far as this version that works either way I dont know where to find it. Advise?
  11. Hello. Im a huge lover of oblivion, and when nehrim came around I decided I had to have it. Now, I was under the impression "Oh, its just an oblivion remod so everything should be cool with modding" Well I was wrong. I understand the basic principals of modding, but I grew most accustom to OBMM. Since OBMM wont let me install it to the nehrim folder I have to do it all manually. Now, I take the manual install for HGEC body replacer, select all options, replace meshes and textures folders and I get a strange issue. The mesh takes effect, I can see the shape of all the body parts (female) but they are all missing the textures. Ive tried many things to get this issue resolved on my own, but to no avail. I really love Nehrim, but the standard oblivion bodies are just so hideous I dont even want to play. Does anyone have any reported success with introducing HGEC body replace into nehrim 1.1.1.1? Im looking for any and all advice. Thanks!
  12. Alright checkin it out now! Thanks for the info =D
  13. Ive found myself rather bored lately, so I'm considering taking up modding. Wondering if someone can refer me to the tools needed to make mods in this game. Id like to: Make new weapons/armor Change meshes/textures (weapons, armor AND character) Well, Ill settle for that for now at least. I know its probably a pain to do these things, and being that I really haven't done it before I'm in for a rough ride, But that's fine with me. So, any and all suggestions are welcome, and thanks in advance!
