I can only second this, cause i'm clueless when it comes to modding... This would probably be the number one game changer for me. Areas in between camps are pretty desolate, adding patrols / different types of patrols (armoured, squads, convoys) would make the game feel more alive. Also increasing the search range and time would make it more punishing :D
