I do not know what a nif file is, I'm very new to doing anything other than installing a mod lol. I am trying to make a replacer with a preset saved with the vanilla console from my character creation (made a .npc file).I'm not even sure if that is the right way to go about it but I saw it in a tutorial, I would like to not use racemenu or a load of mods like a lot of methods suggest. If the nif is just another name for that .npc then how would I go about opening it, and if not is there a way to make a npc edit with it or should I try something else like an actual nif?

Brand new to using CK and I am trying to make a simple NPC replacer for 1 person (with some modded assets). I have the mod needed and everything loaded in the CK but when I try to import the character gen parts this comes up, the face is fine but the hair and eyebrows (which are the modded parts) don't apply. I've tried looking it up and done like 20 different things but nothing has worked so far.
