I uninstalled everything, then reinstalled and it works perfectly! No glitches. I'm very happy. All the textures look just right.

I think I'll have a go at the full uninstall and reinstall as it seems less complex and easier for me to start from square one now. I think it would also take less time for me. I will definitely go one by one through the mods and test the game out. Thanks for all your help!

Start menu dissapeared!

Turn off anti aliasing on the settings of your game and see if it works, that happened to me too. It is a bug with OBGE. You can find the explanation about it in their FAQ. If you want, you can enable the anti aliasing through your graphics card and it will work, you just need it disabled on the program itself. There ya go -
I have not tried re-installing all the other mods yet. My question was whether or not it would be more painful to uninstall and reinstall mods or start out with a clean slate and install mods correctly.. I have the steam version so I can just delete the local files (right?) and install the mods one at a time correctly. I have all of my mods downloaded and put in one file all ready so I feel it isn't too much of a hassle. It's also only a handful of mods other than the UOPs.

Should I uninstall all of my mods and then reinstall in the proper order? Or should I start with a clean slate and redo it now that I understand it all? I feel like the latter would be easier and I don't really care about my save files so I'm leaning towards that option. What do you think?

Yes I did click on Update Now. Thank you for that information! I'm excited learning about all this.

Unfortunately for me, that is the way I thought I had installed everything, until I figured out that when I unzipped my mods to my Data folder it created a folder titled after my mod filled with folders of meshes and textures, instead of dumping the mesh/texture folders there and merging them. So it turns out now, after I got everything in place, I ended up installing the mesh/texture/sound files for the UOPs at the end, after all of the other mods. So I have it figured out how to install everything completely correctly, the final question is if I should reinstall everything and have a fresh oblivion game to mod out in the right order? Agh, it won't take as long now because I have all of the zips for mods downloaded, but I'm not sure if that would fix my graphical issues or if it wouldn't be worth my time.

Oh, perhaps that is it! In the readme it advised BSA alteration, not BSA redirection. It also did not advise me to reset the BSA timestamps. So if I have my mods active but it has BSA alteration instead of BSA redirection that could cause a few texture issues correct? Fixing that up right now in OBMM right now. EDIT: Did it, checked my game, nothing has changed really.

It's quite all right Striker! Everything went well, although I think I did mess up at the end of merging.. When I went to merge the UOP mesh/texture/sound folders with the mesh/texture/sound folders under Oblivion\Data, there were conflicting files with the same names and I moved and replaced the original files with the UOP files.. I have a feeling that has some effect on my game right now. Some items, for example foods, clothes/armour and signs in front of shops look potato quality. It's bothering me. Although, I'm pretty sure that was the case from the beginning of the game, with the exception of the Blades armour. Side note, where do BSA files go? They are all next to the corresponding ESPs as I assume that is where they are meant to be. Haven't touched them

Thank you!

Thank you for all your help. I took all the mesh files from the Natural_Environments folder under my Data folder (Oblivion/Data/Natural_Environments) and put them in my Mesh folder under Data (Oblivion/Data/Meshes. Did the same with all the textures and sounds too. Checked my game and it was fixed. I do understand the difference between files and folders, but thank you for your explanation. I'm an android/mp3/PC user haha. The only question I had left over is if the mesh files that are in (Oblivion\Data\Unofficial Oblivion Patch-5296-3-5-1\Meshes) should be in (Oblivion\Data\Meshes)? It is for the unofficial oblivion patch from nexusmods.

So I installed Qarls Texture Pack III Full v1_3_OMOD off of nexusmods, did all the steps correctly, then realised when I activated the OMODs an .esp did not show up on the left pane of my window. Also, everything still is potato quality in my game so I figure something isn't right. All the OMOD parts (downloaded 11 OMODs as the whole pack) for the texture pack are in Oblivion\obmm\mods. Anyone know what's going on? What did I do wrong?

Thank you! This is exactly what I was thinking about! So then I take the meshes from Oblivion\Data\Natural Environments-2536\Meshes and put them in Oblivion\Data\Meshes, correct? When I extracted the zip to my data folder it created a folder called Natural_Environments instead of merging the mesh/texture/etc folders. So in short I am merging all of my texture (and mesh/sound) folders into one texture (and one mesh/one sound) folder that is found directly under my data folder, right? Thank you so much  EDIT: If all this is true, should I do this for my unofficial patch textures/meshes/etc? Or is my .esp file for the patches telling the game to find them in their patch folders under data?

Installed Ryu Doppler's fixed version of Natural Environments and I still have the same problem. Is it possibly a problem of file placement? The meshes and textures and etc are all in different sub folders of data, do they need to be merged? I am new to modding manually, although to my knowledge I followed the readmes on each mod correctly

All right, thank you for your help. I did install OBSE already. The reason it shows that no mods were installed with OBMM is because I installed everything manually except the Character Overhaul (I used NMM for that). I had downloaded OBMM because I thought I might use it for things and because it would help me sort out my load order. Downloaded LOOT, did a load order check, it redid my load order and the report viewer showed these messages . The top warning was on all the DLCs for the game except the Shivering Isles. Went to read on TES4Edit about cleaning and it seems like a lot of work - is it necessary? And I'm guessing from the second note that that could be where my problem is coming from? There were no other important notes. The only other one worth possibly mentioning is the DLCThievesDen - Unofficial Patch - SSSB.esp had a note saying "Only for new game. Not for existing game." Any more answers for questions I can provide? What shall I do now?
