Rather than having an alternate keybind for walking, I thought it'd be better just to slow the default walk speed a little. But when I do, it breaks the sprint functionality. Pressing shift does nothing. Is there any way around this? I'd so much prefer to just slow everything down and sprint when needed rather than use a different key to walk forward, which is super awkward to me.

Frosty trying to launch DAI beta
caeanne posted a topic in Dragon Age: Inquisition's Troubleshooting
I'm scratching my head on this one. It was working fine, but now origin is prompting me to DL the beta rather than launching the real game. I don't have the beta installed anywhere, and it's not listed in my origin games. I found a workaround where if I restarted origin, it would work on the first attempt. (any after would do the beta thing again), but now even that's not working. I've disabled all mods to make sure something funky isn't going on there, I deleted the frosty configuration and made a new one, but no bueno. I don't have any more ideas for troubleshooting, so does anyone know what is going on? -
Creation Kit crashing when importing nif
caeanne replied to caeanne's topic in Fallout 4's Creation Kit and Modders
Okay, some progress. Looking through the nif, I saw that BSSkin:Instance didn't actually have any bone data in it. When I deleted it in nifskope, it loaded into the CK. So this time in Outfit Studio, I exported To Nif With Reference. Now all the bones are listed and it loads in the CK. Buuut it's still in the wrong position and I haven't figured that part out yet. Edit: Moving it up 120 along the Z axis fixes it. Not ideal, as it's now floating 120 above where it should be in Outfit Studio, which makes further editing a pain, but whatever. It works. -
I'm having some issues trying to port a hair from FNV to FO4. CK crashes every time I try to load in the nif. Here's what I've been doing:Exporting the mesh as an OBJ from the FNV nif.Importing the OBJ into Outfit Studio, and then importing the FO4 head as reference.Resize/position the hair and then copy the weights from the reference head.Assign materials.Make sure everything is weighted, and then export the hair as a nif. In the CK, when I try to add the model, it crashes. I have no idea what I'm doing wrong, so I've attached the offending .nif. Literally anything you could point me to would be super helpful. Oh, and also: for some reason the hair is at ground level when opened in nifskope, despite being correctly positioned in Outfit Studio. How do I fix that? http://www.mediafire.com/file/imyah557p4834pc/shootmeplease.nif/file

Is there way to remove the 250 saves limitation? As someone who saves frequently across several different characters, this is incredibly frustrating. I did some searching, but I couldn't find any mods or edits that removed it. Does anyone know if it's even possible?

Invisible armor? Pick an armor with stats you want to wear. Open the Creation Kit Load the plugin that has the armor (if esp flag it active) Locate the Armor Addon form associated with said armor Remove the NIF assignment on the Male and Female Biped Model entries Remove all Body Slot assignments Press OK to close that record Locate the corresponding Armor form Remove all Body Slot assignments Press OK to close that record Save the plugin, if asked for a name give one. Ensure the plugin is active Test in game. Result: An armor with a world/inventory model but no worn model that displaces other worn models when equipped. As far as one that has been made, no idea... But the above is how you could achieve it. Only concern is that I have no idea if the armor, enchantments and all that still work appropriately without an associated body slot. I think they would but you never know. Thanks for the quick reply! I was hoping to be lazy, but you're probably right that I should just do it myself. I'll give that a try. Thanks! Edit: It seems you need to assign it to a slot for it to give you the armor boost. I just picked one down near the bottom, as they aren't often used. The armor is still invisible but now the armor and enchant bonus are added properly.

Is there a mod like this one for Skyrim? Basically, I'm looking for invisible armor that doesn't take up the main body slots so I can wear the clothing I want but still be armored.

Did you figure it out? I'm having the same problem. Our shared mods: Unofficial Skyrim Patch Unofficial Dawnguard Patch Unofficial Hearthfire Patch Unofficial Dragonborn Patch A Matter of Time SkyUi Cloaks of Skyrim EDIT: Fixed it! Turns out it's Cloaks of Skyrim. There are a bunch of comments about it on the USKP mod page. You have to open up Cloaks.esp in TES5EDIT and delete the briarheart entry under 'Outfits'. The briarhearts you haven't encountered yet should be good, but if you load up a save with one loaded in, it will still be invisible. Just select him via the console and type resetinventory, and his body should reappear. Worked for me!

Hey everyone! I'm looking for this cloak: http://static-2.nexusmods.com/15/mods/110/images/54412-1-1401637818.jpg At first I thought it was from Dreamburrow's retexture of the Sage Outfit, but it's not. Thanks for the help! Edit: I managed to find it on my own. It's from Velvet Robes and Cloaks

Hey guys! I posted this over in the FNV mod detectives thread, but someone pointed out it's actually FO3 gear. I'm looking for the gear this girl is wearing: http://fc04.deviantart.net/fs71/i/2010/322/0/4/fallout__new_girl_in_vegas_by_alanosborn-d334t8m.jpg I found the top, pants and belt thanks to someone awesome in the other thread, but I'm still looking for the elbow and arm bits. I looked through TailorMaid and TG's Armor bc I remember there being gloves and such in there, but I didn't find anything. I feel like I've seen them before, but I can't remember where. Any help would be super appreciated! Edit: Nevermind. I found something similar in the game resources and extracted it myself

One of LostRider's pose pack shots, huh? That would make those Fallout 3 clothing/armour mods. Not sure if there are NV equivalents. Anyway, that top looks like a black re-colour of the "Safari" outfit from dimon99's clothes mod. The trousers and belt (the outer one, anyway) are likely from either the "Wasteland Scout" mod or the "Female Mysterious Stranger" mod (the thong she has one is likely from this mod too). Even the trousers look like they might've been re-coloured or re-textured. Not sure if those are all LR's personal modification, or if they're up on the Nexus (they might be, for all I know; it's been a while since I've played the FO3). The holster is likely from any of the multiple holster mods available. There might be some TailorMaid accessories in there (gloves, goggles, knee-pads). Couldn't really tell you about the second inner belt buckle, but it looks familiar; think it's from a mod with latex clothing or something. Hope this helps. Wow, color me impressed! That's very helpful, thank you. Had no idea it was a screenie from a mod... I found it posted on deviantart. But on a related note, I'd been looking for For a Few Poses More but had forgotten the name. So thanks for that too! I've been looking to learn a bit more of converting/editing meshes, so maybe this will be my opportunity. Appreciate the help! edit: I accidentally a word

Hey guys! I'm looking for this black outfit: http://fc04.deviantart.net/fs71/i/2010/322/0/4/fallout__new_girl_in_vegas_by_alanosborn-d334t8m.jpg The author of this screenshot seemed to imply that she found it here on the Nexus, but I can't find it for the life of me. Anyone seen it before?

Hey all. Can anyone tell me what this armor is? http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/mods/images/40813-1-1299951553.jpg

Did you ever find a solution to this? Because I'm having the same problem.
