  1. We have this mod here: http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/16669 It is nice and does what it says, but there is one thing - the mask model has no thickness. So, when you play as thin elf, looking 3rd person over the shoulder, you can look under the mask. And models in this mod lacks any back texture, so the model is transparent and it doesn't look good at all. So can anybody add some thickness to the mask model? Or add some rim to it, so you cannot look under the mask. I tried it mayself, but with no luck.
  2. vandrath: In NifSkope is nothing like "mesh", so I don't know, what to look for. And if you mean "NiTriShape" or "NiTriShapeData", there is nothing like "face normals". I may have bat eyes, but I cant find find anything like this, so, please, exact description. And I still think, that you still really don't understand my problem. I didn't replace the original texture. I used bethesda made model and switched thwo premade models. I just took one model and used it as a replacer for other model. So I think, I just don't need to play with textures, or etc. But I am not sure. So, if anybody would be so kind, try this: make a new item out of any dragonpriest mask. I used the Morokei (moonstone mask). Then, use some 3D modeller (3DSmax, blender, don't care) and replacer the orignal model (dragonhelm_moonstone_1.nif) with worldspace model (dragohelm_moonstone_go.nif) and then save it and make it work in game. This is, what I'm trying to do for at least five or six days with completely no result. Just try it, its work for 30 minutes.
  3. Here I am with another update. I tried the peterkeller's advise and copied the BSshaderpropertz from the original model to my new one. Strangely, now it worked. Dwo days ago, I tried the same thing and it didn't work. But the model is still transparent, when looking over the shoulder in 3rd person. I don't know what is wrong, because creation kit shows me the model correctly (yes, I made a plugin to put it in-game and I also made a new item for it). Well, I know this is a detail, but when I know about it...it creeps me out. I'm a detailist.
  4. This was the first thing I tried. Result - no model in game. The game just shows nothing. So this is a no go. And, as I said, my model is little bit complicated. The original model for the dragon priest masks has hood. The mask under the hood lacks the back side, so looking from behind, you can see through the mask. I took the worldspace model (the model labeled dragonhelm_..._go.nif) and used it as a replacer for the default model. So I think I cannot use UVmap from worldspace model for the armor model. Or can I use the textures from the woldspace model?
  5. Yes. I used this video from JoePikop : And, Yes, I have set the vertex colors to yes. Well, I have opened in Nifskope the original model side-by-side with my newly created one and checkced everything, just to be sure. The result is, original model shows texture, my model is black. Finito. Here is the model and .esp to use in-game. Please, check it and look at it. Im not sure, if Ive done everything as it has to be done. http://dl.dropbox.com/u/9824961/Public.zip
  6. Nobody else? Im bit frustrated now. Everything is exactly the same, like the original model. The original model shows the texture correctly. The newly modified one shows black. I dont know, what to do. 3Dstudioshows texture. Nifskope shows texture in right pathway.
  7. Well, changed the UV sets to 4097 > nothing, model is still black. Checked the pathways > everythings fine. The model is still black. Any suggestions? I would really appreciate, if someone make some from-the-ground tutorial on how to make and import helmet. Or, how to modify and succesfully save existing, bethesda made, model.
  8. Hi, I have slight problem which I cannot solve. I tried to replace the dragonpriesthood with a no-hood model. I used 3DSmax for the modelling and texturing part and nifskope for finishing it up. But when i load the game, the mesh is all black with no texture on it. I dont know what I done wrong - I didnt changed the default texture, I just only replaced the model. Now I dont know how set the texture properly - when I copy the texure branch from the original model, The mesh in-game disappears. When I place the texure by hand, using nifskope, the mesh is black. I have them in right folder, that was the first thing I learned to do. I just dont know. Im still a beginner, not experienced in working with nifskope, 3dsmax or creationkit, so I need a deatiled description how to set the textures properly.
  9. Hey guys, Halo isn't just about armor, it's also about guns, so...where are them?
