  1. I cant seem to get rivatuner to work with the SE skyrim. Unless im doing something wrong. I want to limit my framerate, so i can get rid of the random objects flying everywhere or loud banging and clanking noises when entering a bulding. Maybe i need to change something in my ini file. Not sure. Any help?

  2. I'm not sure if the Remaster will break the 255 plugin (not mods!) limit but yes the game should be more stable and some modders like the TES Renewal team already said the 64bit version will allow them to implement much more stuff.

    What does 255 plugin mean?

  3. First, play the game. At least for a few hours. That way you can figure out what you do and don't like, and what you think needs to be improved/changed. This is your game, not ours, so it's up to you to customise it. Honestly, the only things you really need is the unofficial patch, and possibly ENBoost.

Then, you can start looking at the Top Mods, and go through the various categories to see what suits you.

If you've seen screenshots in the image section that looks how you want your game to be, and they didn't bother putting in the description what mods are used, leave a polite comment asking the poster what mods they used to get a certain look/gun/armour/whatever.

    I appreciate the reply. Tyvm

  4.

Vysnc is on according to my file sets its set to 1. However steam shows my FPS still going over 60 fps. So idk whats up with that

Check your GPU control panel. It is probably forcing your games to turn VSync off, regardless of in-game settings. You always want to lock your fps to 60 in games made by Bethesda Games Studios. The physics are tied to the framerate.

    i edited that post

  5. Did they fix it for Fallout 4?

IF not then you have your answer.

Anyway I really doubt it. Seeing as this is essentially a for console sort of thing and what are those running at FPS wise...Right 15-30FPS.

Thing is if it runs smooth enough for the broadest range of users possible is it an issue?

    For you maybe.

    Sure but for them no.

Your just going to have to cap your FPS for the game its not a huge deal anyway, seeing as they cap it for you with VSync at around what 60FPS anyway.

edit: thought i do have a 144hz monitor. So im not sure if its trying to cap it at 60 or 144

  6. Never had this happen, and i am confused on what to do.

When i run FNIS through MO i keep getting this error

    >>Warning: Bad installation. Generator not run from a Skyrim installation directory.<<

  7. I have a few questions. Im uploading a picture. Is everything right with it? Do i need FNIS for any of thse mods? because i cant get it to work right. And last question On top of the Graphic mods i have, are there any others i can download to improve the world? Grass, trees, lights, tavern torchers or something? I dont want any bad interactions as this stuff is pretty confusing to me. Hope i did this right lol. Thanks!

  8. It's been confirmed for PC.

Note that dx11 has been... for all intents and purposes... confirmed... as XBOne doesn't run DX9 games. (People saying that the volumetric lighting is proof have clearly never run ENB  )

Note that a full port to the FO4 engine has not been confirmed, but seriously, if you see confirmation of that anywhere, let me know.

    As far as mods working:

    - SKSE will likely need an update because addresses apparently change every time you recompile an exe. Likewise with mods that require an SKSE plugin.

    - ENB will need to be completely redone. It's very very specific to dx9 architecture and won't work on dx11. Luckily Boris is familiar with DX11 since he's supported other DX11 games, although there is the question of whether he thinks it's worth it.

    - We don't know for sure about most other mods. My thought is they're going to keep everything as similar to Skyrim as possible (that is, no updates to the esm, no updates to the scripts/meshes/textures to the FO4 data structures). If that's the case most mods will work out of the box. If that's not the case Bethesda just threw away a hell of a lot of work... and I doubt even half the mods on nexus will get ported, meaning no mods for SSE and no mods for console  (luckily if Pete Hine's tweet is correct you can have both installed side by side on PC).

So in stupid people terms. If SKSE does get working on the remaster. Does that mean all mods will then work fine, or will the mods that need skse also have to be redone?

  9. Well its free if you own skyrim and all its DLCs or the legendary edition.

Question is will SKSE work? and a follow up question why in the hell is it still necessary? didn't Bethesda get a clue the first time? why wasn't something like this not already built in?

    It blows my mind.

what exactly does skse do for skyrim and let mods work on it?

  10. With asset mods it really depends if its loose files or packed in a bsa. With loose files the last mod installed overwrites conflicting changes in mods installed before it. With bsa archives its the associated plugin that was loaded last that wins with conflicting changes. Loose files always override stuff in bsa files. So the order you install things and how it was packaged makes a huge difference.

Thanks. Also if you use CBBE mods does that mean you can only do other mods than work with CBBE? Or can you mix in UNP mods also? I wasnt sure if those conflicted or not

  11. None! I dont use any. Im all about the gameplay mods. The look of Skyrim doesnt bother me and so I didnt change it (with the exception of that horrible map!). Quality world map with all roads

I give you kudos on that then bud. While it looks good the amount of detail in the mods just blows it out of the park! Yeah the map mod was nice. Deff redownloading that

Another question, once i download the mods i want, LOOT auto puts them in the correct order correct? Or is that something i have to do?

Oh and another question if ya got the time or can link me something to help explain it. But when downloading a few mods i always get the pop up saying this mod already has this file, do you want to replace or no etc... Idk what to press yes or no

  12. Sounds like your first attempt crashed and burned. Dont try to download everything under the sun in hopes of 'maxing' out Skyrim. You will crash and burn every time. Just take it slow and only change the things that actually bother you.

Does the look of water bother you? Seek out a specific mod for that. Wolf textures got you down? Seek out a mod for that. There is no one super pack single download that will 'max' out skyrim. Just because a texture is 2k doesnt mean it looks good. Theres tons of variants to choose from.

What are you preferences for high res mods?

  13. So i just downloaded Skyrim, and been using NMM. I didnt know what i was doing at first and installed pretty much everything. Kinda regret it but i didnt know any better (1st time modding a game). So i unistalled everything as i was running into problem. And im going to start from scartch now that i now what goes with what.

My question is, i pretty much want to max this game out in resolution using 2k textures. Dont need 4k. So besides that mod what else can i download to max this game out that doesnt cause bugs or mods that do the same thing? Hopefully someone can help a noobie out ;) Thanks! Oh and i know how to use TES5EDIT, LOOT and GenerateFNISforusers to help out
