For people still playing and running into this issue, Vennificus' method works. Quick and easy. Wave the weapon against the broken activator then it will suddenly be active again.

So, I have married Serana, but when I send her home, she does nothing but use the craft potion station and will not become active anywhere else in the home. Is this a bug? How do I fix this?
