I´ve started about a week ago planning a mod i want to do: it will be about a sort of "guild" dedicate to teaching of Fire Magic. It will have a vast amount of fire related spells and not all of them will be used to burn enemies like on vanilla skyrim. In the planning of the questline I´ve found a hell of lore mismatchings. And I don´t want to sound rude, but the magic lore in skyrim is just ridiculous. it worked out in oblivion fine, as there were a lot of magicians and magic related stuff going on with the gates to oblivion and that sort of things, and everything was more colorful and nice. But now in the 4th era i think things should be diferent. I mean, the f***ing thalmor f***ed up the empire, and the dummers have problems again with the volcano and the return of you know who. In my opinion thouse things should have lead the people of tamriel to became very sceptical about magic (taking in count everything going on with the most powerful mage races). But instead, it is toletareted openly, which is ok, but i would like to see some guards at the college or something and, if the teachers and students on the college are thouse few who still want to get to in touch with magic, they should look more seriusly and smart, not stupidly mumbujumbing about which elf is prettier or if restoration is a valid school of magic... Come on, this is not Harry Potter... And thinking that thouse people are the most powerful mages in all skyrim, make it really dificult to plan a more mature questline. I wish to see the opinions of this matter of people who are or went through the mage arc of the game.
