  1. Now playing Fire Emblem: Awakening with permdeath on... I hate you guys. >:(
  2. Monster Hunter 3U on 3DS... not sure what I'm doing half the time, but lots of fun! :D
  3. I think you just described Dead Space 3 OP.
  4. Thanks for the tips guys, I got the 3DS XL today and was lucky enought to find Fire Emblem restocked. Played with it for bit, still need some getting used to. :)
  5. I'm not really a Poekemon type of person, and that's the only reason the PS Vita never really peaked my interest... too pricey. So no 3DS fan/user here?
  6. I reaching that point in life where I can't sit for long stretches of time and just play on my PC, but have tons of free time outside of the house. I'm thinking of picking up a 3DS... buuuuut, I'm not sure what games I'm going to get out of it. Of course there's Monster Hunter coming out next month, but what else? Help me choose a game to start with: Ocarina of Time- never played a Zelda game before. :P Fire Emblem- havent touched a JRPG in a decade lol. Looks interesting though. Harvest Moon-not sure what to expect here. Or just buy Civ5/Total War/Sim City and suck it up?
  7. I heard somewhere that the teasers were more like proof of concept. They wan't to build an open world story driven RPG, something their devs have no experience in (open world). They want to hire more people with experience making these kind of games; programmers, modelers, world builders, artists, etc. Long story short, don't expect it to release soon. And here's the page. CDP RED Job Listing
  8. Actually Warriors are a bit overpowered in the game... very high damage and health, high criticals and defense. It's kind of tough to explain how the game mechanics work, there is no Holy Trinity so a full on max defense/health tank warrior build is not advisable IMO. I'm not saying that's no good, but it will require a lot of skill/time (think Devil May Cry Dante fighting bosses). Same with glass cannons. Also you don't need a party to get the benefits from being in one, a lot of support skills are area of effect and some of them gives the player a boost in either damage, defense or healing, typical stuff I presume, but the if you apply it to other people (either in a party or strangers in the vicinity) the greater the effects. In this game players are rewarded for helping each other with buffs, experience, and gold. As for level 50 mobs killing max level players, it happens... a lot. The thing is the game down levels you depending on the map and area you are in, for example, your a lvl 80 Guardian entering a level 1 zone. You will be downleveled to 3 including your stats... BUT your level 80 exotic gear won't be dwnlvld, so you still get better stats than any player that's actually lvl 1 or lvl 3. Level 50-70 maps has a very thin population, except for maps with Dungeons in them. The biggest reasons are; people powerlevel inside said dungeons to 80, power level by crafting in Cities, and level 80's doing Fractals of the Mists to get their ascended pieces. The developers are trying redistribute better loot in non-dungeon areas and improve achievement rewards, etc. to repopulate this PvE mid level maps.
  9. If you're interested in coming back, Fire and Ice: Prelude is up. It's a 1.1G update with a lot of changes to everything from PVE, PVP, classes and dungeons and they reduced the number of undead in Orr (yay!). I got lucky and got into Sea of Sorrows early, joined LEM 'Lumeria', a mostly US based guild and most of the members are nice and very helpful. Here's some tips to enjoying the game better: a) Don't power level- If it's you're 1st character, try to explore every inch of the map (like what you would do in ES or Fallout 3/NV) b) Try to find a group- like what Vin said, you can solo majority of the world. But there are areas and events better suited for parties of 2 or more. Also something I recently learned, in dynamic events where there's almost an infinite amount of mobs coming at you, in a party you will get insane amounts of loot compared to soloing in a zerg. c) Don't let the negative stuff get to you- or don't visit the official forums (very depressing to read complaints from a tiny but very loud part of the community). Sure you'll get 50/50 good and bad experience with groups, I've seen and heard profanities, racism and all around douchebaggery in chat and team speak ("This is why I don't like asians..." is not easy to absorb and ignore). And yes, I have been guilty of being an A-Hole in multiplayer games in the past. The trick is to learn from it and not let crap others do and say dictate how you should enjoy the game, but do it in a respective manner. d) rest- you will get burned out at one point so drop it, the game has no subscriptions. You can come back months later if you like.
  10. holy crap youve already played GW3!!! lol jk unfortunately i cant be of any help to you. i only had my card for a day, and i dont play Skyrim. plus i was using 12.11 beta drivers. however, it sounds like a Skyrim issue as its less graphically insensive then both FarCry 3 and Metro 2033 (despite popular belief, Skyrim isnt all the graphically intensive compared to some other games) do you have any mods for Skyrim? it could be some sort of conflicting graphics mod? but im only speculating. like i said, i dont play the Game so idk. lol Ok, ok Guild Wars 2. Did some researching and I might have to rollback on the GPU driver. Weird that it only happens in Skyrim 3.
  11. Quick question about AMD 7000 series... So i got a 7850, Skyrim is all flickery with 12.10 drivers, and it only happens in in that game (recently played Farcry3, Guild Wars 3 and Metro w/o flickering). What Driver version would you guys recommend?
  12. Lol 450 views and 17 replies. Anyway, I'm gonna pick up my choices soon and if any of the lurkers are interested it's in Manila, the store is PC Hub. They have a wider range of choices than PC Express and PC Gilmore... cheaper too.
  13. Based on the tidbits I've read, there is very little performance difference right now with PCI-E 2 & 3. You can even use a GPU 3.0 on a 2.0 mobo (or some of 0.1 I've heard, personally never tried it).
  14. Because truthfully I don't use air cooling, and haven't since 07, so I rely on what people tell me. Oh and that coolermaster V10, isn't even what I was thinking of so never mind.. No worries, any kind of suggestion or advice helps me out a lot. Besides, I'm not picking up Aftermarket coolers until next year.
  15. Stop. Abusing. Steam Sales lol.

  17. Follow the rules, have fun and welcome to the forums!!!
  18. Anyone have it yet? How's the UPlay DRM? Framerates, Stability, etc.
  19. I found a new store with a wider selection of items. The good news is they're give cheaper prices, bad news is because of the wider selection... I may end up spending more LMAO. PROCESSOR: AMD FX6100 3.3Ghz 6MB AMD Piledriver FX 8320 3.5ghz (Black Edition) AMD Piledriver FX 8350 4.0ghz (Black Edition) MOTHERBOARD: MSI 760GM-P34 Asus M5A88 M MEMORY: RIPJAWS 8GB 1600 x2 GPU: Power Color HD 7850 2gb/256bit ddr5 Power Color HD 7870 2gb/256bit ddr5 PSU: Seasonic (S12II) 520watts PSU 80Plus Bronze Seasonic (S12II) 620watts PSU 80Plus Bronze CASE: Lancool PC-K58BE USB2 Corsair Carbide Series 400R Mid Tower Case USB3 Fractal Arc Midi USB3 DVDR: Asus DRW-24B5ST 24x Sata
  20. I'm not sure what that's for but may I suggest this for your case?
  21. Oh wow that... thing looks weird. I like this one though Coolermaster Blizzard T2; cheap, and has a purple fan lol. Although reviews mention it doesn't perform very well on OC systems. Anyway, sounds like I'm good for now. I'll report back after I check the shops. Thanks everyone! :)
  22. @kalikka I'll pump it up just below recommended. I just want to build something thats enough to handle 2-3 graphic softwares at the same time with a ton of layers, oh and I don't mod Skyrim with enhancers or massive textures. Afaik the fx-6300's not out here yet, I may not be patient enough to wait for it (I just hope I can play witcher 3 at least on low with this new setup LMAO) That Lancool case' still top 1 on the overall for me (weighs 21 pounds though hehe). That Shinobi case looks real sweet, but I'm not gonna find one on my country. Same with the XFX 550W. Seriously, there's like two competing store chains here... everyone else is selling tech from 6 years ago. @hoofhearted4 That's good to hear, I'll stick with the choice for now. I'm gonna add one more ATX Case in the mix...Corsair Carbide 400R I feel solid with my choices so far... except the case... and now the processor and mobo haha. Questions! In case I do go for the FX6300 and a different mobo, what are your thoughts on aftermarket cpu fans? Is the RAM I picked good? Did Chris Brown really threaten to beat up and defecate on a lady on twitter? Let me know.
  23. Minor update: PROCESSOR: AMD FX6100 3.3Ghz 6MB MOTHERBOARD: MSI 760GM-P34 FX /DDR3/A/V/L (Mini ATX, 2 memory slots 16G max, 1 slot for GPU sounds good) *MEMORY: RIPJAWS 8GB 1600 x2 *GPU: POWERCOLOR HD7850 2GB (cheapest 7850 I can find) *PSU: SEASONIC S12II 620W (still undecided with 620w or 520w) *CASE: 1. Lancool PC-K58BE (Solid/rigid case, cheap, and has lots of space... Weak front and top plastic cover and unsure about stock) 2. ANTEC THREE HUNDRED (I really like the look :P... old but recommended to me) 3. Thermaltake V4 (unsure) 4. Corsair 300R (i heard it's an ok case, but metal covers are flimsy) DVDR: Asus DRW-24B5ST 24x Sata Suggestions or violent reactions are very welcome.
