  1. I tried a commandos game before. Never finished it.

I remember some things that bothered me in Tactics:

    1) .50 Cal Machine Gun- Muties can outsnipe you even with a sniper rifle and they can kill you with one burst at max distance. I just duck for cover until their ammo runs out. Never even got to use it much because ammo was so scarce. But by the time I had enough ammo, they were practically useless.

    2) Rocket Launchers- You put your squad on a truck, drive around a corner then... BAM! Raider pops out and destroys said vehicle.

    3) Behemoths- Damn it! It's guarding the door across the open field!

  2. Lol so many easter eggs and so little time haha.

One thing though the random encounters with monsters and stuff is ridiculous. Like Ill get stopped 10-20 times in one square with messages "Do you wish to encounter Muntants" or whatever create is in the area. Makes exploring EXTREMELY tedious.

Hehe, were you walking or something? I avoided most of the random encounters because I always end up loosing ammo more than whatever there is left to loot.

  3. I think it's one of those special encounters. There's also a recruitable Riddick companion to be saved... from deathclaws... in the dark.

Also, there was a bonus mission in Springfield. The Simpson's House is somewhere on the map. I can't remember how to unlock it though.

  4. What about the Pipboy companion?

For extra fun, get a trainer and set your character's dodge rating very high. Put him in the center of a bunch of angry minigun wielding supermutants. Enjoy. ;)

  5. WOW that was a ps2 game, thats amazing.

The best games as of now i think would be The Ratchet and Clank games for the ps2.

It doesn't actually have the best gameplay ever, it get's old after awhile (I mean ACE 3). But the chance to pilot the RX-93 and the HWS version Gundams got me 100+ hrs of gameplay.

  6. Namco's been around for a long time, they rarely release anything for the PC. But I do feel your pain (my ps2 broke, GAAAHHH!). Since Ace Combat 5 and Zero's AI wingmen and 6's online multiplayer, I really do pray it comes out on PC. Plus Armored Core, hehehe.
  7. Is a retex of Liberty Prime to Titan's colors possible?

you would just have to find the .DDS file and then pull it up in some sort of program like Photoshop and change the colors, real simple if the plugin to read .DDS files works for you... too bad I can't get my photoshop CS4 to read .DDS files no matter what I do...

What's your Graphics Card? Nvidia's plugin works fine with PS CS4.

    ATI Radeon HD 4800

I tried the plugin you mentioned, and no luck...

I guess it's only supposed to work with Nvidia cards.

Try the DDS Converter 2 for oblivion, I used this before I found the Nvidia plugin.

  9. You might want to check out "The Island of Dr. Moroae" and "Blue Submarine No.6" for inspiration. And try looking at the model for the Mirelurk King. It's screaming organic power armor if you check out the plating.
  10. "cutting is mor epemranent than a tattoo"

Tattoos ARE permanent, but the design fades out/ ink seeps around. Colored ink fades quickly if you stay under the sun alot. You need toget your tats retouched every few years to keep the intricate designs visible.

As for that scarification, whether it be by slicing or branding, I'd say..... NO. Infections... ugh.

Healed or not, it just looks nasty.

  11. You get expert excrement expediter from that mining town between Vault City and New Reno (ok, time to cheat and look at the Fallout Wiki) it's Broken Hills. Look for the guy that lets you work as a caravan guard, you can choose to shovel bhramin poo for a day. Do that a few times and you get the title.

That fluffer thing was just a work option, I remember now. It gives you a massive dose of radiation and poison afterwards. And probably an unforgetful aftertaste.

There's another one aside from getting married... Divorced.

  12. Anyone remember the titles you could get in fallout2? like graverobber or pornstar?

Well, i kinda miss that in FO3 :(

It was fun to do things and get a title because of it.

What anyone else think of that ?

    Wow, no one answered.

    Hmm...

    Gigolo

    Prized Fighter

    Made Man

    Expert Excrement Expeditor

    Gecko Skinning

I think there's a child killer title, but I'm not really sure.

And there was something about being a fluffer and something about nailing anything with 2 legs... I can't remember.

  13. The rifle was the AK103 mod from Alexscorpion. The file was removed from nexus a few months ago. He was planning a new AK mod to replace that, but sadly for us, he retired from modding to focus on other things. Look up HeroinZero and munkeenuts for similar weapon mods.
  14. why? i never had trouble following an online tutorial lol... had blender in uni but i never got behind its secrets :P

so i guess i at leats am not the person to get tutored by a lesson... a constant sidekick ala master miyagi is a different thing tho, but you only get these under circumstances like the experience skree described, aka at a job where you work together constantly with highly talented people... or if you have a modding group or somin with msn/icq/skype running all the time

lessons like in school are never really useful for an individual as every individual has different learning patterns which cant be adressed by teachers, its an often overlooked phenomen which results in so many school drop outs and under educated people who in fact are highly intelligent and clever, just that the way they are being teached is nothing their brain can coop with... (if that interests you read some books about the brain, how it works, how its created and grows, and its functions... synapsis and so on)

Well, I don't mean enrolling in a school with brain dead teachers and jocks and all that crap. I meant finding an institute or instructor with good credentials and experience with professional 3d production, not a place that leaves you to rot after they get paid. But your right, not everyone can cope with a weak standardized education system, no one can argue about that (I know I don't HARHAR). You learn from experience and arguing/ agreeing with whoever you were drinking beer (smoking something)with. That includes working professionals, fellow students as well as your instructors or professors (if your still in school).

And yes, selfteaching is a good way to learn at your preferred pace. This is what I'm following right now, I went thru blender with ease on my own. Now I'm encouraging Trad Animator Coworkers into 3D so I can bounce ideas with someone in person, but not successful so far (Metal Heads... very hard headed). Plus you can brag about it. Right?

I guess my point is, if you have like a gagillion bucks to blow away and a bunch of free time and lots and lots of patience and attention. Get a degree (it also helps if you want to get into that line of work BTW). But if your kind of broke and veeaary cheap like me, learn blender, make some money, then move on up.
