Interesting...
Very interesting...
Alright, the story sounds like every other futuristic shooter to come out since, since the last 10 years or so. And you probably have a long list of titles this game used as game play reference.
But if the game actually plays like that in the video, maybe even more... Then who cares if the story's crap! I'm looking forward to this!!!
EDIT: It's Shinji Mikami not "Shinki", sorry.

There was a little japanese game that was released for the Playstation One called "Silent Bomber", and that game was as tough as nails. Main characters weapon of choice is an assortment of bombs and mines, and used on enemy mechs with varied sizes and attack styles. The big bosses don't post much of a threat and can be disposed of (after 3 to 20 retries hehe), except for two minibosses. These were the human sized mech suits, the red guys have cyber katanas and the blue ones have either an assault rifle or sniper rifle. Both of which can fly and dodge real quick, fires a bunch of missiles often at you and a barrier that disables any sticky mines you attach to them. Sounds bad right? Now imagine an entire stage with just them and each level increases their number, last platform, 3 pairs go at you with no remorse. I did that stage for two months and only got past it like 10 times with little health remaining. Then I fight their big mama with negative results. I just had to stop playing it.

I'm sure Hideo Kojima will fit Snake in somewhere in the storyline, and probably another cyborg ninja (crossing fingers!).

pump action grenade launcher
It's a single-shot break barrel M79 "Thumpgun". Although it has been mentioned there is a riot shotgun (and those are *always* pump action). We seem to be getting more lever action weapons this time, with the trail carbine and the cowboy repeater. Break-barrel shotties seem popular too with a single barrel and double over-under appearing. Hell if we get a decent Bullpup animation we'll have all we ever need in that respect.
Yes it's a break shot, but look at 3:30. Probably a weapon mod.

I saw a new video from E3 that showed more gameplay. There's a pump action grenade launcher so I guess there's a pump shotty... yipee! And for the new animations, I don't know. It still looks a bit stiff and cartoony, but it does speed up the action. I guess I'll give it a plus? Maybe?

I love big battles where the player can join in, so in no particular order:
Zone of the Enders 2 - the part where you need to destroy hundreds of mechs and save your comrades at the same time... epic!
Ace Combat 5 - Razgriz vs. Belkan Aces
Kingdom Hearts 2 - final boss battles'... my sister played it, I got (forced) to finish it. I enjoyed it though.
???? 2: Crimson Butterfly - sorry, I forgot the title. A japanese ghost/horror game my girlfriend plays, I'm the mandatory boss slayer. The game freaks me out!
I belive you are talking about Fatal Frame II
Ah yes! Fatal Frame 2, correct! I remember a basement in the game with a partially covered well, we thought "ah dead ringer, Sadako's gonna crawl outta there slowy. Didn't come out until our 3rd pass on that area, and it wasn't a crawl, It was Sadako on speed!!! hehe

I just saw the E3 trailer from IGN, (I won't post the link for reasons I'll discuss below) it looks good definitely. Playing as a Cyborg Ninja and putting his cqc/sword skills on the hands of the player really caught my eye. Too bad I don't own a 360 lol.
But the gameplay that was shown both excites me and disturbes me. The catch phrase goes like this... "Cut... Cut what you will". Then they show Raiden slice up a van, dice a watermelon, and hack at human opponents. Yes other games have done ultra violence over the years, but I've never seen it done by the player in super slow motion and with very high detail. I have seen my share of blood, and seeing the video brings back memories I'd rather forget. I wonder how they will do the commercials and who the target market will be. I'm guessing 15 and above, but that disturbs me more.
So what do you think? Too much or is it fine letting your nephew see you playing it or whatever? Share your thoughts.

Back to topic, looks like Obsidian made some new animations for New Vegas... reminds me of Alpha Protocol. It still needs work.

another one for you: I've always been fond of sim like racing games, been playin' em for years and have a few world top ten lap times and a swelled ego to show for it, anyhow, I like to win, normaly I win alot, because the Forza 3 ai is a bit too agressive and can sometimes make fatal mistakes, especialy towards the end of the race, so I was leading, by over a lap in the game's most dificult and rewarding race, it was the last lap, my car was immaculate and tuned well enough to assure my victory, but as I came through the last few corners, FZZZT! instant darkness, as the suburb I live in lost its power supply, I later found out that a drunk truck driver had rammed into a powerpole about a kilometre away, this cut power to my suburb for a whole day, this was enfuriating because it was summer, and I live in australia, and here, in summer, you simply cant live without an air conditioner, so that mother-trucker was lucky he was taken to hospital with a broken leg and concussion, as otherwise I fear, my neighbours, also drunk, and in the troes of a rave at the time, would have seen him rushed to the morgue instead.
I was playing Gran Turismo a couple of years ago, finally decided to finally do the Laguna Seca endurance race. Three hours later and two corners to go and I win. ALMOST!!! As I passed the final corner... lightning struck a power pole. I remember screaming "SHIIIP!!!" Well not those exact words, you know what I mean.

@Stardusk: Sure you can. Did you know that in the Phillipenes the slightest suspicion of you being involved with drugs will get you a serious case of speed-of-sound led poisoning? Guess why? Because it works. Kill people for committing a crime, and the frequency of that crime goes down. If we just killed anyone who committed any crime, all of our problems would be solved.
I've been accused of using drugs (I'm fine with cigarettes and a bit of beer), I'm not dead. But if you're a multiple offense smalltime dealer/user, then it's only a matter of time. No one usually touches the Big Fish, either too slippery or too many powerful friends.

Kudos to you, thanks!

I can't find the mod that lets lets you stick in place weapons, etc on a wall. Thanks in advance.

Love it or hate it, I'm pretty sure most of you are still getting it when it comes out... I am. Even more so when mods start rolling in. Although I wished they'd change the Pipboy arm brace into a handheld. Damn thing can destroy how a power armor (or any type of thick armed suit for that matter) should look like. And I guess I'm still gonna see heavy weapons with useless backpacks again and STILL no pump action shotguns. *sigh*
Oh yeah, I tried Alpha Protocol. Story is interesting, gunfights are not. Got bored. The End.

Hey guys,
Anyone know what mods this person is using:

Specifically the armor. The weapon would be nice as well though.
Reinforced Chinese Stealth Suit and Cerberus Protect Gear

Happens to me after installing alot of new mods. Try changing from 1st person to 3rd person view a bunch of times.

Any chance/news that this will ever be released on pc? I enjoyed Red Dead Revolver (though a tad short) for the ps2 and I just saw some gameplay vids for Redemption, the horse animations are beautiful!

It's a continuation from Crysis 1's ending.
No offense but, they better have Nano deodorant on their suits for Crysis 2. And how the heck will the Lady Doc survive in the ice dome?
My guess is a few days (weeks maybe?)after Crysis 1. Probably a new squad fitted with the new Nanosuits looking for survivors. Mission will run smoothly for a while, then they get picked off one by one. Final Boss will be a big blue robot named "Secutron-install once a month only-must be online to enjoy-".
As for specs, I'm guessing XP won't be supported and requires a PC that eats more electricity than a dual door fridge (plus a hairdryer). Which means it will take about 4 years before I think purchasing.

I prefer the mouse over a tablet when it comes to blender, but for freehand drawings I'd use the pen. Zbrush is built for pen use, but compensates for the lack of a tablet with lazymouse, unless you really want to go serious about sculpting, then I'd suggest a pen.
For Graphics softwares, yes! It's sooo fun to use.
Vagrant0's right, there's a bit of getting used to using a pen.
Animation and Graphics Studios use tablet hardware to increase or speed up production. The cheapest you can go is with a Wacom Bamboo (this is what I have at home) , though it does come with a useless mouse that's more useful as paperweight. And even cheaper (depends on the region I think) is getting a Genius Tablet My link.
Difference between Wacom and Genius.
Genius - cheaper
- pen needs batteries
Wacom - expensive
- high pressure sensitivity
- they patent alot of their tech, so you won't see it anywhere else. (their old display screens get so hot you'll get a tan)
The Wacom Intuos line is too expensive for me. But if I had that kind of money, I'd go with a Cintiq My link.
As for games, don't use a pen. (I tried Fable a long time ago at work with a Wacom Pen and Display Tablet. The moment I touched the screen with the pen tip, the camera spinned all over the place!)
How to destroy (just putting it there, broke a Cintiq at work)
-pour alcohol/juice/water over tablet
-place desired magnet on tablet

Mario. Seriously I never managed to save the princess.
Sim City - I never got 100% approval. Stupid sims.
Devil May Cry 3 - Dante's brother, what's his name. Last Chapter, tore the rubbers off the PS2 analog sticks.
Monster Hunter Series - Painstaking preparations for those BIG HUNTS. It's like whack a mole, except the mole's 30 to 100+ feet long, fights back, has insane reflexes, then flies/runs away when it gets annoyed.
Fatal Frame Series - I honestly don't play the game, it creeps me out. When my lady friend plays it, I doze off. Then I wake up to lots of screaming and a controller thrown to my face. "Patayin mo! Patayin mo!!!" translated "Kill it! Kill iiiit!!!" I usually beat the weaker bosses on the first try, but I almost always never know what the heck was going on.
Chess - a thinking person's game. A 6 year old had a checkmate in 3 turns. Yay for him! :D
-
It's good to see a rise in appreciation for this series. Though I'd still prefer seeing a PC version with single player, LAN and internet options. Just wishful thinking.

Yey lefties!!! Although I'm left handed, I can't play games properly with the mouse on my left hand. It tends to shake involuntarily after awhile, plus I get migraines. I still suck at sniping while moving, whichever hand I'm using. hehe
P.S.
(This is a bit off topic, but I just had to ask this. Anyone has problems using scissors? I sure as hell do! Gahaha...)

I accidentally deleted 300 hours worth of Vagrant Story, hehe.
When my horse fell on a cliff in Shadow of the Colossus I almost did.
And, when I dropped my 2 day old PS2 on my foot (corner first). I thought I broke it (PS2, the foot was fine lol.)

I just hope they don't rush it. No release date as far as I know, rumor is december. And if they could fit in multiplayer, then the better.
