So every once in a while I think to myself "Damn. It's been too long since I have TES any attention. Let's play some Skyrim." So I run it from Steam, get the splash, click "Play", see that familiar little console window flash, then...... nothing. What the heck? Not again! Now this is entirely correctable. All I have to do is delete the directory, reinstall Skyrim from the web (I have the disc but Steam doesn't care), and then reinstall my mods. After that everything is smooth as shellac. That is, until it becomes corrupted again and fails to launch. So, my question is: How do I prevent the directory from becoming corrupted in the first place? I hate reinstalling the game all of the time! And I never change anything so how is it becoming damaged in the first place? Thanks!
