  1. No viruses that I've been able to detect, HDD is fine and dandy (no issues elsewhere), and I'm only user on this locked system. It's specific to Skyrim. I have no issues with any other game. Now, if I knew what was being corrupted, that could make preventive measures more feasible. As far as Steam Cache Verification, it never finds anything wrong. But if I reinstall Skyrim everything is fixed. Maybe next time I'll reinstall one main file or folder at a time until it's fixed. Hopefully there won't be a next time... Anyway, I backed up my directory to a 7z just in case.
  2. So every once in a while I think to myself "Damn. It's been too long since I have TES any attention. Let's play some Skyrim." So I run it from Steam, get the splash, click "Play", see that familiar little console window flash, then...... nothing. What the heck? Not again! Now this is entirely correctable. All I have to do is delete the directory, reinstall Skyrim from the web (I have the disc but Steam doesn't care), and then reinstall my mods. After that everything is smooth as shellac. That is, until it becomes corrupted again and fails to launch. So, my question is: How do I prevent the directory from becoming corrupted in the first place? I hate reinstalling the game all of the time! And I never change anything so how is it becoming damaged in the first place? Thanks!
  3. Hey everyone. My Bink cinematic are all slow and stuttering. They stop and go repeatedly and evenly like a pulse. I tried every solution I've found to no avail. Anyone have any tips? It's a fresh install. I've cleaned up my junk files and defraged my drive. Nothing is working so far. Windows 8 System Builder EVGA GTX-580 AMD FX-8350 6 GB DDR3 Update: Narrowed it down to the ATE ENB. As soon as it installed it, boom. Wonder why. The game itself runs fine with it.
  4. So I've had this issue for some time and after many, many re-installs and a lot of troubleshooting, found the Horse Armor DLC to be the source. Take a look. http://i.imgur.com/wMMCsbH.jpg Any ideas or suggestions?
  5. Don't mean to Necro, but found out it's from the Horse Armor DLC, not UOP.
  6. Yeah that makes sense. So is there a way to choose the install options without the wizard? I just want to make sure my game is stable because the ENB requires specific setting for some mods to make sure there is no overlap.
  7. When installing some mods with NMM, a wizard would open allowing me to change what options the mod was installed with. When installing with Wrye Bash, this wizard does not open. Manually clicking "wizard" opens a Python context window with a crash log for the wizard (not for Bash, that stays running). How do I customize the installation while using Bash?
  8. I finally got my Wrye Bash configuration stable and everything. Is there a way to export everything (bash patch, load order, settings, etc.) so I can send it to friends so it can easily be mimicked?
  9. I'll give it a try. I find it super odd that it's unique. Couldn't be from my hardware, could it?
  10. I tried it vanilla and it was fine. As soon as I install UOP, and only UOP, the problem returns. I opened a new thread about it specifying it's UOP. The UOP page didn't give me any useful help ("verify your cache" no Sher Shitlock) so I'm waiting on replies there.
  11. Finally narrowed this down to UOP. Maybe I can find a fix here. When walking towards the stables outside the I.C., all but a few meshes de-render. This occurs even on a vanilla install. Any thoughts? I have a thread with a screenshot here: http://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/1532558-whats-causing-this-and-how-do-i-fix-it/ Newest version via Steam. Verified installation, no corruption.
  12. Ok, so after two re-installs and a few hours narrowing crashes down to a bad config, I'm back in vanilla and the problem is not there. Time to re-install my mods one by one... Thanks guys! Update: It's UOP. No idea why it's doing that. I'm moving over to the UOP support threads. Thanks again.
  13. Thanks for the replies. At least you are trying, so I appreciate it. It's been a while since I looked into it so I'll start over. Something about it was a PITA, but I don't remember what. Thanks.
