Chapter XXI
~The Test; The temple of Mara. New dawn.~
Tristan sighed as he looked up to the sky when he came outside and headed towards the temple of Mara, the deity of compassion. Personally Tristan did care only a little about deities but still he respected them as they still had power to influence the world even if they do not take a shape in these lands. Tristan walked swiftly thought the town to the centre of the town as there was where the temple resided.
The temple was like large cathedral with nine altars. Eight next to walls and one in the centre of the the temple as that was the altar of Mara who was worshipped in this temple. The temple's main hall was mostly empty expect a lone female Aldmer, which Tristan did not know yet, priestess who was on her knees front of the altar praying. Aldmer are ancestors of all mer, elven, race but have high resemblance to Altmer which are the High Elves. She was quite beautiful in eyes of Tristan. A long white hair with golden skin along with dark green eyes. The Aldmer rose from her position to stand and looked at Tristan with small warm smile. "What brings you here?" She asked with voice which heard like singing beautiful song which you can never forget. "I am a poor traveller and I wish look for shelter from here for the time I am in this town. As you can see I am still but a child so I have no good way to gain money and I have no family who would take care of me on my travels." Tristan explained. In reality Tristan wasn't as young as he said in age of man but on his own race's age span he was just a child so he was not telling a lie. "Of course this temple will provide the shelter and food for travellers as long as you do not commit crimes so feel free to stay in here as long as you wish. You seem to be tired so the beds are when you go through that door and the second door in left." Aldmer said still having the same warm smile on her face as she pointed one of the doors which were in the temple. "Well then I shall thank you for your help." Tristan said and bowed clumsily as he was not sure how he should act in front of a beautiful lady then he just headed towards the bed. Tristan's steps were dragging already as he was really tired the magic he had used earlier took a lot of energy from him as it's not easy to direct anti-magic spells from mana stream and even thought Tristan was fast learner in magic it didn't mean he could channel lots of energy yet through his body. His mind was still too young and immature as you will become stronger in magic as you get older.
As Tristan came to the room where the priestess had given directions he fell to one of empty beds and fell into asleep. His sleep was now peaceful as this temple was sacred place and especially because of this is the temple of compassion. The sacred peace rested over this temple like a light mist. Tristan felt like his sleeps were watched over by kindness.
A form of woman which was hidden by radiant light appeared front of Tristan in his dream. "The time of awakening is coming near my child." The woman said with kind yet sad tone in her voice and disappeared before Tristan could say anything.
The sun of light shone directly to Tristan's eyes and he woke up. It was now morning as the sun was more in the east than before is it was clear that the sun still went around but for very short time. Tristan had slept now nine hours but that he did not know as he had lost of concept of time in this place. The sun was almost all the time up in the sky and it was as light as it would be in midday all the time. It wasn't really surprise to be confused about the time in place.
Tristan headed now outside to look for information about this place.

Chapter XX
~The Test; The town of Neverwinter and the inn~
Tristan walked towards town which did not seem to get any closer than it was from the beginning nor the forest end. It was as if Tristan was just walking without going forward. It started to frustrate Tristan as after all he had no idea where he was nor what to do. Not long after Tristan sat down and took deep breath as his legs almost gave out from all the walking he had done for several hours. "How am I supposed to do now?" He asked aloud from himself with frustrated tone. Then he remembered this was only a test made by the Council of Mages. This was just a test which he had to overcome. How could have he forgotten such simple fact, Tristan did not know. Tristan took deep breath and closed his eyes. He felt a stream like that of water going through him. The stream was like a stormy ocean in the darkness. Tristan started to gather mana, the power which allows one to use magic, to his hands as he crossed them as if he was praying. As sufficient amount of mana had gathered to Tristan's hand he separated his hands from each other and a blue flame appeared to each of the hands. "It's time to break this illusion." Tristan said with a small smile. He felt like he had found a solution to a riddle which had thought of for long time. "Näytä minulle valo tässä pimeydessä ja riko tämä kuva joka ei ole totta." Tristan chanted as he slammed his hands together with the blue flames and a blast of energy came about around Tristan. Tristan's surrounding did not chance thought. He was still stuck in the forest. "Did it fail?" Tristan asked from himself surprised. He was sure that breaking the illusion was the answer to complete this test but it seemed that it was not.
Tristan decided once again try go to the town and now it worked. He felt going forward and the town coming closer and closer and finally he reached the gates of the town. There was sign hanging above the gate which read 'Neverwinter'. Never heard of such town... Tristan thought as he entered to the town. I guess I should go search for an inn. He continued his train of thoughts as even thought the sun was still high in the sky Tristan was sure it was almost night already. He felt sleepy and there might be some clue to find about what's going on.
In overall the town was quite small actually it consisted of twenty houses, an inn, blacksmith, a bakery, a general store and a temple. It was quite normal distant town. Tristan of course headed to the inn as he found it as that was his goal for now. Of course his main goal was to complete the test but the inn was currently his best bet.
The inn was quite small building with two floors. It was big enough to lodge twelve travellers in and now it seemed quite busy and nosy as many people were currently having fun with drinking and talking with each other. Tristan walked directly to the counter as behind it was standing the innkeeper. "What can I do for you young lad?" The innkeeper asked with large grin as he looked at Tristan. "I would wish to rent a room as I have travelled from afar and I am tired." Tristan said with tired look. "I guess we still have one or two rooms free currently but you don't seem to have any money with you, now do you? I would suggest that you find place to stay in the temple of Mara as they will take in poor travellers." The innkeeper said as he had examined Tristan's overall look. "Alright then I will thank you for your suggestion and I will go ask for a room there." Tristan said and thanked the innkeeper then left the inn. He would go rest now and after that look for answers as his mind started to run slow already. He was tired.

Chapter XIX
~Story begins anew. The test begins-~
It had been several months already. The autumn had turned to late winter and a man walked inside a room very same as he had left before. He picked up a book which was covered in dust. He blew to cover of the book so the dust started to swirl around the air. The title of the book became clear now. The Tale of the Hero. That was the name the book was given by it's writer who now held it on his hands. "So long has it been since I last looked at this." The man said to himself as he went to a desk which was also covered in dust. He had not come to that room since he ended the story in the middle. He quickly wiped away the dust which was covering the desk and coughed a lot again as he was quite sensitive to the dust. And so he placed the book to the desk and opened it from the last written page. "I guess it is time to start this story once again." He said to himself with satisfied smile as he took out a fresh bottle of ink as last one had already dried out. He also took a quill which was the very same as he had started to write this story.
The quill was dipped in the ink and so began this story once again. "Now where was I... Ah yes now I remember." He pondered and began to write.
It had been seven days, a week, from since the letter of invitation had come to mage apprentice Tristan Locksen and soon the bell rang mark of the midday. The day was bit different from the rest as it was day of the solar eclipse. When the sun is covered by the moon. Tristan's emotions were many. Excitement, fear, joy and confusion. I wonder what kind of test they will give to me? Tristan thought as he entered to the main building of the Arcane University, the tower of the arch-mage. The first floor was lobby and some of the classrooms, the second floor was council's meeting hall and the third and final floor was bedroom of the arch-mage. As Tristan entered inside he saw some other mage apprentices on the lobby sitting around and waiting their turn to enter the test.
Several hours went by waiting until it was time for Tristan go forth to the test. He took deep breath and entered to a room which was almost front of him. It was basic classroom with nothing special expect now on the teacher's place there was thirteen seats and in the middle was sitting arch-mage Martin Farfield and on his each side sat the members of the Council of Mages. Front of the high ranking mages was a sole empty seat where the test participant may sit down. "Please sit down apprentice Tristan Locksen." Martin said with formal tone and pointed at the sole empty seat and Tristan obeyed the command. Tristan was quite nervous now as this was first time being front of so many high ranking mages. "You know the rules and the reason why you had been summoned here so the test shall commence now." Martin told to Tristan and soon the room started swirl around before his eyes. Tristan quickly shut his eyes as he would only become sick from this swirling.
As Tristan opened his eyes he was no longer in the classroom nor in any location which he knew of. He was middle of a forest and in far north he saw lights of a town. The test had began but Tristan was confused just what had happened. This was nothing he could have thought of would happen in the test. For now only choice for Tristan was to go towards the north and to the town to find some information where he was now.

There is a stone tablet of prophecy where what is to come has been written by the gods themselves. These were secrets which were not meant for anybody to find them but it was revealed by Necroic, the son of unholy god of hell Dragin, to the mankind. Much chaos they spread through the Dream Lands because of a dark prophesy which was written in this stone tablet. The prophesy of the demon knight.
"After three thousand years from the begging of time a man shall rise strong in faith to Ire, the high god, who is known by mankind as Paladine. He was strong and valiant but soon chance will come. He becomes bitter and worn and finally he falls. When he falls the unholy god of hell Dragin finds him and gives comfort and power which the man wishes for. He will look for seven black book of spells, which are written by the blood of angels, and shall bring the unholy god of hell Dragin back to the Fe which mankind know as the Earth where he was banished in the beginning of time. And this time he will rule supreme."
That was the prophecy which was written to the stone tablet. This began search for the hero who would defend them from this evil but little did they know that it would begin fulfil this dark prophecy. They were overjoyed when they found a man strong enough in strength, faith and will to take head on the evil which was up to come. This man was known Drace. He was given quest to find the seven black books of spell and destroy them to stop the upcoming prophecy.
On the journey of his quest he finds that these books could not be destroyed by normal means. He had to find a magically enchant sword known as the Dream Sword which has been sealed from this world. To break the seal and bring it back to this world he needed to find three Keys of Knowledge. They keys were found by three trials; courage, wisdom and strength. Each had large price to pay to the hero. After obtaining last key he finally fell to the ground from strain and burden which his quest gave him. He was dying. Dragin found him. He promised power and life which would not die to the age or normal wounds. The hero accepted this deal after all it was a blessing in his eyes. This was rise of new darkness, the darkness which would rule supreme, spoken in the dark prophecy.
The hero, now known as the Demon Knight, found six of the seven black books of spells. The seventh book has hid it self even from gaze of the unholy god of hell Dragin. This was a setback to his plans. The seventh book must be found or Dragin could not be summoned to this world.
While the Demon Knight was searching for the books the gods of good worked on their plans. They brought another tablet to the humans to counter the dark prophecy. This tablet was hidden by Dragin as he did not wish humans have hope that they could defeat this new darkness but the gods of good found it and brought it to humans and this was what was written.
"The Demon Knight shall raise from foolishness of the men but so shall five beacons of light. Each of the represent their own race. One from valorous humans, one from wise elves, one from proud dwarves, one from the nimble race of halflings and one and last who shall be the leader of this group comes from the dragons which unite the abilities of other races. The are destined to find the seventh black book of spells which are spoken in the dark prophecy and stop this dark prophecy if they succeed. They will wake the sleeping races of angels and gargoyles to help their cause and find five sacred weapons to fight this darkness. Each of them are blessed by one of the gods of light."
((Writers not: As you might have wondered after reading this yes this was going be longer story (and much longer than my the Tales of the Hero which I stopped for now at least) called Tales from the Dream Lands and this was just the first chapter, the prelude, from it but as I have now little time I don't have much time I had to freeze this project too but I hope you enjoyed even this little story. Oh and I deleted last line from my official version "And here is where the tale begins." as well it isn't going to conclude for while at least.))

Chapter XVIII
~The tale ends...~
A quill was dipped in a bottle of ink as new page was turned. There was written words.
"One day I might continue this tale but for now it has come to end. Tristan and Lucas' journeys are for another time for other place. There is much to see and much to tell but for now those shall be in my mind as demons of the past, present and future... This tale will continue live and evolve in the minds of you readers. Each of you have their own image what is to come so I let you to decide how story ends. Will it be happy ending or sad one that is for you to decide as this story has come to the end for now."
The letters of this written tale started to trail off and soon they faded away to the pages which they were written. The book was closed and to front cover was written 'the Tale of the Hero'. Bellow it was written in smaller letters 'by Eer...' The ink had dried off before the name was fully written. The writer didn't bother dipping it again, as after all what was the point when he was only one to read the story, so he just shrugged and took the book. He placed the book to one of many bookshelves, most of them were completely full, in the room where he was.
((Writer's note: Well this tale has come to the end for now. The reason is simple I do not have time to continue this. I am busy with my life and when I am done with everything else I might return to this tale. Actually I would have time to do this for few hours per day but after school and work I am so tired that my mind cannot think anything really. Don't worry I will write short stories, which some might have some relation to this story but most will be completely original, time to time which I will release here but I won't do anything this big until I really have more time, inspiration and motivation.))

Lets see...
I would create classical high fantasy world. You know with magic, elves (along side with all other fantasy races) and stuff like that.
As the creator I would be the observer type so I would try not to interfere with how things are going on the world. (Of course I would answer to prayers and stuff thought, granting my clerics powers and stuff)

Chapter XVII
~Back in the Imperial City. The call to the test.~
Tristan had already settled down on one of the buildings at the Arcane University and he was now studying his spellbook. He repeated the words which were written in it on his mind. Each time he did that it felt like the words would have started burning in his mind. It was warm and comfortable feeling. This was a privilege only to the wizards, those who have the gift of the magic. But this was fire of the soul could be double-edged sword. It can work for you but it can also work against you if you pronounce even a letter wrongly. This is why wizards had to study to keep the words fresh in their mind.
A dove landed behind a window which was front of Tristan and knocked to it. Tristan opened the window and noticed a letter tied on the dove's leg. He quickly took the letter and opened it.
"Apprentice Tristan Locksen you have been summoned to front of the Council of Mages to be tested if you are qualified to gain higher knowledge of the magic and be accepted as one of our brother at mid-day of a week from now. You should inform this to your relatives as this test has chance of death but you cannot tell about this to others or you lose your qualification to enter to this test. If you die during the test your stuff shall be sent to your relatives..."
There was a lot more written to the letter but it was formalities and rules which apply to this test. At the end of letter there was signature of each twelve members of the Council of Mages and the signature of Arch-Mage.
Tristan smiled happily as this was a great honour for apprentice like Tristan. Tristan was waiting for this call after he came to the Imperial City few days ago but it wasn't easy for Martin to convince all of the Master-Wizards (or as their more formal name the members of the Council of Mages) as each of them had to place their signature under the call or the call would be invalid. No exception. Rules of wizards were strict about this as they didn't wish any unsuitable to enter their brotherhood.
Magic could be quite terrifying thing if it goes to wrong hands. There has been many examples of this along the history of this realm.
After Tristan had read the letter he sent the dove back and continued study the spells. Important day was coming and he had to as ready as he could be. Soon the week would pass and his day to be tested would come. Tristan did only thing he could do for it. To study.
Martin had already accepted him so to Tristan this was just formality but then again you could be never too careful about things where you have chance of dying. Martin had already acknowledged that Tristan had as much power as a Magician has which is quite high rank of the Mages Guild which is amazing for an apprentice. Of course Tristan didn't know any spells of that level. He only knew the basics as he wasn't allowed to study any further on the magic until he has completed the test.

Harabec's plain failed because I used crimson red robe which is long enough to touch the ground over my clothes.
I pull out Snowball Launcher of Doom, Destruction and everything Evil which Freezes Everything and Anything in Instant 10'000 or in short S.L.D.D.E.F.E.A.I. 10'000 from my other pocket. It has much more fire power than Snowball Launcher of Doom, Destruction and everything Evil which Freezes Everything and Anything in Instant or in short S.L.D.D.E.F.E.A.I. had.
I start laughing maniacally and aim S.L.D.D.E.F.E.A.I. 10'000 to Harabec Weathers and make him dance on my rhythm as I shoot the snowballs at his legs.

Shoren pulls out a gigantic bazooka from his jean's pocket. There is some writing in the side of the the bazooka. "Snowball Launcher of Doom, Destruction and everything Evil which Freezes Everything and Anything in Instant or in short S.L.D.D.E.F.E.A.I." Shoren aims S.L.D.D.E.F.E.A.I. at antonkr and shoots. The projectile hits and hurts like hell along with trapping the target under large shell of ice.

Since there hasn't been any request for while here's random signature. I do them just out of inspiration to do signatures when I'm bored thus name Random. This means there is no set rules what they might be or when I make these. They just come to be when time is right and correct conditions are met.

EDIT: New "Random" one. Well this time it's not as random as you might think. This time it is a remake from my first signature I ever made to see how much I improved. I used same text, size and render but otherwise it's completely new. Compare.

To be exact Cthulhu is created by Howard Phillips Lovecraft (who is great horror writer) for those who do not know.
To the topic: Those are no coincidences as internet is so imaginative place that users use phrases or words from TV shows, games, books and so on and so on. The reason for that is usually because it A) is humorous/funny B) sounds cool. Simple as that.
