  1. Well lets take that we can withstand with no air or o-zone, constant solar wind and surface temperatures from lows of about −140 °C (−220 °F) during the polar winters to highs of up to 20 °C (68 °F) in summers along with many other problems which prevent the life in the planet.

If we would go explore I think we wouldn't find anything else what is already find aka lots of rock, the highest mountain, evidence that water has existed in the planet along with remnants of a magnetic field. (Depending of our equipment.)

  2. I wish to join the group (I have send PM for the details) but I have to say you should slow your pace. If you wish that something is done that fast in mods it won't be good quality. I wish this to become great mod. Everything will be done in it's own pace as even if I join the team I have to still study and go school so there goes most of my time for example. What I have learned that strict deadlines do no good. Many good games are ruined by deadlines and even Oblivion didn't have all the stuff developers wanted to include because of the deadlines.

Time shouldn't matter that much when making a mod. What should matter is that everybody is having great time and are going to make great mod for the rest of community.

Like most of modders say when they are asked when mod is released. "It's done when it's done."

  3. Well there is full Ultima series which consists of nine games if you don't mind old graphics (I mean 8-bit graphics up to Morrowind level graphics). It's almost completely free roam game and you could do almost any quest in any order up to Ultima VII if I remember correctly.
  4. My favourite is Neverwinter Nights 2. Simply because I love the plot (for me the plot is one of most important factors when I'm playing RPGs) and D&D.

(Then comes whole Ultima series because it tells one story in overall the story of Avatar. Because they are such a legend and heck they are most realistic (for medieval/fantasy) RPGs at the moment (not graphic wise but the NPC wise. Every NPC is their own person with own traits and how they live with families.)

Oblivion becomes second because of it's unlimited play value.

Then comes FF VII not because I simply like it but because it was one of first RPGs I have played (The second to be exact first was FF V) so it partly introduced me to the genre. Sure it's decent plot and all but it's way too overrated in my opinion.

Then others... Well for Baldur Gates series it's not that I dislike them but they are too dark for my taste so I lost interest in them almost as soon as I started the games. For Fallouts I didn't get into them for some reason.

  5. Chapter XII

~Finally Imperial City in horizon and new beginning~

Rest of trip went without any other incidents. The sun was already setting down beyond the horizon as a gigantic tower at central island and two smaller towers came to horizon. Each of the towers were on their own island and surrounded by the walls which were finest work of the builders. There was also a dock which was closest island to the ship.

"That is Imperial City. The capital city of Tamriel." Martin said to Tristan as they were on the deck of the ship. "We should be there before the night falls as it won't take more than an hour from here."

"That's quite amazing city even from this distance." Tristan said as his eyes slightly widened from amazement. Tristan had already learned multiple spells and was already at same level as Magician rank mages which is sixth rank of the Mages Guild. Of course this title was still unofficial as Tristan had not gone trough a test which is placed to those who wish to rank of apprentice or above.

"Yeah it is... I remember when I came to this city for first time too. I was quite amazed but it has chanced a lot since I first time saw it. Like they say technology improves all the time and Imperial City is centre of all that development in the end."

The ship soon came to the dock which went by name of Waterfront. The slum area of Imperial City and it is said that the infamous Thieves Guild's hall was around here. Of course officially guards deny such claims and that the Grey Fox still is alive as it was already exposed several hundreds years ago that the Grey Fox was the count of Anvil. Yet guards still fear that name so they do not mistreat the poor or beggars as they are under protection of the Grey Fox.

The companion soon landed from the ship to the dock and went directly to the centre tower of Imperial City where the Elder Council's meeting hall was and the other palace where the emperor used to live. The council room was still the same gigantic round room where was round tablet with thirty seats each for one member of the council but one seat is left empty by the tradition. The seat of the emperor. Nobody expect Septim bloodline could clam that title as their blood was only thing which could lit the fires of dragonfire when the amulet of the kings is passed down from generation to another. Of course the amulet was now shattered and long lost relic of the past.

Nader was sitting on his seat at the council hall as if waiting for somebody as he noticed Martin, Celestian and some little kid entering he smiled broadly.

"Ah welcome my friends." He said as he rose to stand from his seat.

"The quest which you gave us has failed. There was nobody living at the manor which you instructed us in the letter." Martin said in formal tone in his voice as he leaned to his staff.

"I gave you a quest? I believe I didn't... I haven't seen you Celestian for years and Martin you left secretly without a word so I was kinda worried as my most important advisor left. May I ask who is this child?"

"This child is named Tristan we found him from Anvil almost dead so I started to take care of him and as my death is near I wished pass my knowledge to this kid as he has great gift in magic. Also what you said troubles me. Then who did in your form came to us giving quest to find so called a heir to Septim bloodline? But I have to agree such arrangement was quite unlike you which your look alike did."

"This troubles me... You should be wiser than that Martin. You know that bloodline of the Septim is long gone. Martin Septim was last one. There never will be new emperor as that is impossible. Also the amulet is long gone."

"May I ask that who were you waiting for?"

"Well the Elder Council meeting as it will begin shortly but if you truly did go to Anvil I wish that you go to rest. Your journey has been long so I do need tired advisor now."

"As you wish my friend." Martin said ending the conversation with warm smile.

"Well then we shall go to our separate ways then." Celestian said with small smile as the came outside of the tower.

"Yeah. It was nice to see you alright Celestian and may the nine bless your journey." Martin said with smile as Celestian started to walk away. "Well then we shall go to Arcane University then to finish up your studies under me over next few years."

The writing started to trail off...

Final words were written at the end of the page.

"Thus this tale ends for now. Maybe some day I shall continue this when my own journey shall end. But now my own tale shall begin and my journey shall start from now. The true tale. The Tale of the Hero."

A man in about his twenties with sharp crimson red eyes and long dark brown hair in a ponytail. He was wearing pitch black robe. He let down the quill as he closed the book which he had wrote into and closed a bottle of ink. He pulled the hood of the robe over his head hiding his face in it's shadow. Only one thing was shown trough the shadow. It was his eyes which shined through the darkness. He also placed the book on his bag and threw it over his shoulder as he placed the a longsword on to the belt and started to walk away from the room. He exhausted the flame from one candle which was only light source in the room without touching it. The room was engulfed by the darkness as the man shut the door.

As curtains close to one tale, a new tale shall begin.

  6. Question one: If you could create your own realm, what would it be?

A realm where only imagination is the limit what you can do.

Question two. If you could be one mythical creature what would it be?

I think I would be an einherjar (Old Norse "lone fighters") are those that have died in battle and are brought to Valhalla by valkyries. In Valhalla, the einherjar eat their fill of the nightly-resurrecting beast Sæhrímnir, and are brought their fill of mead (from the udders of the goat Heiðrún) by valkyries. The einherjar prepare daily for the events of Ragnarök, when they will advance for an immense battle at the field of Vígríðr.

Question three: If you could keep one of the five senses what would it be?

It would be my hearing. I am more of storyteller so I can speak as it is not a sense and it is important to hear the reactions while telling a story.

Answer four: If you could bring back one person from the past who would

    it be?

There is no one who I would wish to bring as everybody has their own destiny in this world and those who have died have filled already their own destiny so there is no reason to bring them back to this world any more.

Question five: If you could gain one power what would it be?

Ability to command/cast/use real magic (not the gimmick magic which magicians of our world use) simply because I love wizards because of that power. It's something you cannot explain by common sense so it's mysterious power and if you can use magic you can do multiple things with it from destroying your opponents to heal your fiends and make crowd happy.

  7. Chapter XI

~Midnight assault and the next morning~

Soon the sun went beyond the horizon and the two moons rose from opposite direction. Everyone of the companion were already in the cabin and deep asleep. Small noise of door opening was heard in the night and a man in black robe entered to the room. His eyes were like Tristan's blood red but other than that was not seen through the shadow of the hood which covered his face. He walked quietly where Tristan was sleeping and started to bow down as if he was aiming to the neck.

Tristan opened his eyes and saw a man he quickly drew small dagger made of silver and pointed it at where the man's heart was. "That is not wise idea vampire." Tristan whispered to the man as his crimson red eyes started glow in the moonlight.

"It seems I was caught..." Vampire said and sighed as he backed off from Tristan. "But I wonder why your blood seems to call me more than that of other races I have drank..."

"Because I am something what should not exists... But that you tried attack me you shall pay it with your life" Tristan pierced vampire's heart with the dagger and the vampire turned to fine dust. After that Tristan cleaned the robes and dust off and fell asleep again as if nothing had happened.

It was almost impossible for normal human or any other race to hit a vampire thanks to their supernatural powers but Tristan killed a vampire with one hit. Actually Tristan's speed and reaction speed were faster than that of a vampire as the vampire didn't have time to react to Tristan's attack.

Celestian saw all this as after all he was a fighter so his sleep was light and it could break even the most silent noise. He was on guard all the time as after all that is how he was trained in first place. Celestian could not actually believe what he saw Tristan to do. Only thing he could do was to tell Martin when he wakes up as it seemed that Tristan hid something really big.

Soon the sun rose from the sky and Martin woke up. Celestian greeted both Tristan and Martin as they woke up from the bed. After everybody dressed up and started to go eat breakfast Celestian asked Tristan that could Martin and him talk bit privately as there was some things they had to discuss about. Of course Tristan agreed with slight smile on his face and Martin gave some money to Tristan to buy a breakfast.

As Tristan was away Celestian sighed.

"So what is it Celestian? This is quite unlike you." Martin asked as he looked at Celestian and leaned to his staff.

"That boy is suspicious so you should be on guard while you're with him." Celestian told Martin with serious tone on his voice.

"He is good kid and fast learner even you said that so what made you chance that opinion?"

"Well last night a vampire sneaked to our cabin. Tristan woke up when the vampire was trying bite him and he killed that vampire with one strike even thought there was around a meter between them. What disturbs me most is that the vampire couldn't even react to Tristan's attack."

"I see... I can believe you as you are my friend... So you're saying he is a vampire? Well I guess he could be but he hadn't fed for years so he should look on his monster state now not that of complete human and also his eyes red is much sharper than those of vampire. He hides something that much I know but if he wanted to harm us he could have done that already long time ago."

"No I wasn't saying he was vampire. I could hear Tristan saying something that he was something what shouldn't exists..."

"I see... But like I told he means no harm to us and he will reveal his secret when the time is correct if he so wishes. I also know that he was something more that some normal race we have in this world as he knows how to write and speak fluently common language at that age even though he was trapped in the basement at lest four years. He has amazing learning speed and he can easily learn spells. That all is impossible for normal ten years old kid." Martin said ending this conversation and started head to the cafeteria where Tristan was already eating.

Celestian was quite amazed that Martin still could trust that kid like before even thought he knows nothing of that kid and knows how good and dangerous he is. Celestian sighed and shrugged as he started to follow Martin to the cafeteria.

Tristan waved happily to both, Martin and Celestian, as greeting in the cafeteria and continued eat. Soon both of companion bought the breakfast and came to the tablet where Tristan was eating. Tristan didn't ask what they talked about as he knew already as he had noticed Celestian awake last night.

  8. Yes I have been playing Oblivion quite while with no problems but then suddenly it has started to crash while I try save be it steamsave, auto-save or manual save (every time it tries to save it becomes corrupt save also as it CTD's middle of the save). I have tried reinstall but it didn't work at all. I have also scanned conflicts with Oblivion Mod Manager and no major ones. (I have also OBSE)

  9. Chapter X

~Midday at the sea and basics of magic~

The sun had already reached the highest point on the sky so it was the midday already and soon the coasts of Valewood were visible. There was thick forest growing not long after the coastline as wood elves or Bosmer as they were known by the scholars. Bosmer was quite uncivilized culture in eyes of Cyrodiils like Martin and other so called civilized cultures. Sure they were civilized in manners and such but they care little for most of the civilized trappings of other Tamrielic cultures. It was quite unique province compared other eight provinces. Well actually every nine provinces of Tamriel were very unique while compared one another.

"What's that place?" Tristan asked from Martin as pointed to the forest of Valewood.

"That is province of Valewood home of wood elves or Bosmer as that is their true race name." Martin said with warm smile as he kept leaning to his staff. "Now that we have a week and half time on this ship I would like start teach you basics of magic so are you ready?"

"Yeah." Tristan nodded with happy smile.

"Alright first I have to teach you how to cast a spell. To cast a spell you have to fall a trance of sort as at your level you need absolute concentration if you wish cast even a simple spell. Of course as you become more powerful and experienced in magic it becomes easier to cast spells and you'll learn many new ones. But take this as warning if your concentration breaks and chant words disappear form your mind or even if you misspell or pronounce a letter wrongly it can become very dangerous as it might that nothing happens, spell backfires or you cast another spell. Also when you fall into the trance your awareness of outer world disappears so if you're not careful you become easy pray for others that is one of the reasons why I usually travel with other people like Celestian even though I am considered the most powerful mage of current time."

"I see..." Tristan said as he absorbed every word which Martin said.

"Well then we shall begin with simple spell called Flare." Martin said as he opened his spell book and leafed through the book to look for the spell. He rarely used the spell and he didn't need to chant it any more so he had forgotten the chant already. "Ah here it is. Tuli keräänny käteeni ja tuhoa viholliseni. You should write it down to your spell book as you're going to need to learn the chant until you can cast it without one."

Tristan did as Martin suggested and wrote the chant down.

"So how I go into the trance you spoke of?" Tristan asked after he had written down the chant.

"Close your eyes and empty your mind until you feel as if you would be middle of large stream. After that it should come naturally. Later you can enter to that state even with your eyes open or even running but those come much later. Oh also when you have remembered the chant you should see it on your mind as if it was flaming letters. Well then lets start with pronouncement." Martin told Tristan.

After half of an hour Tristan could pronounce the chant correctly and then it was time to test it out and it was success on first try. Tristan was able to shoot out a small ball of flame from his hand perfectly.

"Well done Tristan. Well done." Martin said happily. "I think that is enough for today if you want you may continue practice that spell but keep in mind what can happen if you fail." Martin added and started walk down bellow the deck to their room.

As Tristan came to the room Celestian was laying on his bed. The room was quite basic cabin with four beds and a desk. It was nothing fancy as even thought Martin and Celestian were quite rich it didn't mean they were millionaires.

"So how did it go?" Celestian asked as he looked at Martin who just entered to the cabin.

"He has the gift and if this keeps going on he'll be catching my level of magic in about ten years as he is sift learner not to say it's quite amazing that a ten years old kid can pronounce a spell perfectly after half of an hour. Not to say his common language is fluent also even thought he was alone in that basement about four years. He is quite amazing kid." Martin said and sighed. This kid was total mystery even now but maybe he is a beacon of light which he saw in same dream as he saw the gates Oblivion opening.

"I see... Then you did get excellent follower like I said taking note that you are going to find yourself six feet under in few next coming years thanks to your age." Celestian grinned.

((Writers note: The chant I used isn't gibberish. It's written in my native language called Finnish. In English chant goes like this "Fire gather to my hand and destroy my foes." I am no Tolkien so I won't be creating completely new language to the story or maybe I do later. Who knows... Oh yeah in English you pronounce ä as ae))

  12. Chapter IX

    ~The journey to the sea~

There was small warm breeze blowing on the dock. There was many noises such as sailors shouting that everything was alright in the ship, drunken people singing and so on. The dock had totally different atmosphere than the city itself had. It had become one of largest docks in the Cyrodiil over the years and it was important source of income to the country.

Martin, Celestian and Tristan walked through the dock to a ship. The ship was something what was not until late developed. It had something called steam engine and because of that it could say in any weather. Tristan's eyes widened from amazement as if he had never seen such thing. Well it was quite amazing looking ship in any case and the tickets were really expensive. These days each mage guild tries to improve the city where it was located by spells and new inventions. This steam engine was one of the inventions which Anvil's mage guild had developed.

This route was quite long one as they had to go along with borders of Valewood and Elsweyr then had to go up the the river of Niben Bay. The trip would take around a week and half according the ship's captain. Along the road it would take about four days. This was good time for Martin to teach Tristan the basics of magic so he would be ready to study at the Arcane University.

The companions were last ones to board the ship and so the ship left the harbour and to the sea.

"Ready for this journey?" Martin asked from Tristan with warm smile in his face as they leaned to rail at deck of the ship.

Tristan took deep breath. "Yeah... After all I wish to see the world with my own eyes."

"You got pretty nice follower for yourself Martin." Celestian said with smirk in his face as he ruffled Tristan's hair.

"Maybe I have... Maybe I have..." Martin replied with slight smile. Martin knew his own death would come soon as he was already about eighty years old so he wanted pass his knowledge to new generation.

  13. I never have played truly bad game. Even WoW is good at what it does aka as MMORPG even though it's overrated. This is quite hard one to choose... But I would have to go... Heroes of the Lance it's a game for NES (aka 8-bit Nintendo Entertainment System)
  14. Well in first things first. At the title it's stories not storys. :pirate:

Also never stop writing stories if you like to do it even if it's small community which reads them. Heck I have tens of stories on paper which I have only read. If something doesn't work and you don't like write it stop the story think something new. There is also many people who read the stories but don't post about it to the threat so don't let it bring you down and continue the stories you enjoy to write. Heck my story has only two people posting comments and my chapters are way shorter than most of people here but it has found quite few readers as I post new chapter about daily.

Never stop something you love to do. That is only piece of advice I can give.

  15. Well there is DDO aka Dungeons & Dragons Online: Eberron Unlimited. It's very unique MMORPG in many ways and free-to-play no less. It places D&D 3.5E rules to MMORPG game with unique combat system. In combat you have to actually aim and be in range for attacks to hit the target. There is only twenty levels but each level consists of five ranks. Every level you get status points, traits, new spells and so on. On other hand every rank you get one enchantment point which can be used to buy enchantments (such as +1 to sneak and so on). This is quest (and heavily PvE) based game. Dungeons play large lore in this game which consists of traps and puzzle along with combat. Also you do NOT get xp from killing single monster expect if it's quest target but instead you get xp when you have killed enough monsters (10, 20, 30, 50, 100, 200 and so on in total (so old kills also count)) There is favour system which can be brought with real money OR you can farm it. Favour can be used to unlock new races, classes, dungeons, items and so on. You can play this game without paying at all if you have patience to grind for favour.
  16. Well there are quite many which I could recommend but I'll recommend only one... But here it goes:

Sentient Weapon II - This mod is great as there is three weapons and each have their own personalities. There is Fred the Coward, who is an eternal pessimist. Atkivir the Murderer, who delights in misery and killing. Samson the (wanna be) Hero, who's just a regular guy and isn't terribly special. Each of them is a talking weapon of you choice and you can chance the weapon with simple spell which comes with a mod. Of course to acquire one of these guys you need to complete a quest. This is fairly known mod.

  17. Chapter VIII

~The boy of crimson red eyes~

Martin and Celestian quickly went to local inn and bought lots of food for the child. Of course the boy started eat at same second as the food was brought front of him after all he was hungry and thirsty. The child ate and drank for about an hour non-stop. Finally he stopped. The boy fell asleep soon so Celestian carried him to the room which they rented and placed him to a bed. After that Celestian went back to bar side of the inn where Martin was already drinking a goblet of beer.

"So what you think of that child?" Celestian asked as he sat down to same tablet where Martin was.

"Well I can't say much but I'm sure he is not human nor any race I know of... I would say he is ether half-human or completely some other race." Martin said and sighed as he put down the goblet from his lips.

"Don't dark elves have same kind of eyes? He might very well be half-dark elf." Celestian suggested and shrugged.

"No... Dunmers have more darker red in their eyes and also every half-dunmers I have seen haven't had red eyes they have been always from other parent. Also there is that this child survived without food or water for at least four years which is impossible if you aren't immortal but immortals don't have signs of starvation like this kid had. That kid is total mystery to me."

The warrior laughed. "Well that something new."

"Even thought I'm ranked as the arch-mage it doesn't mean I know everything."

"So what are we going to do now? Go back to Imperial City and report of this child to Nader?"

"I think it's best until we know about this child more we don't report about him as after all Nader said that there was seventeen years old boy living there which there wasn't so this quest failed."

"Why you wish to keep this boy as secret?"

"Well first reason is that normally Nader doesn't give false information but the information in the scroll was totally wrong. That child hadn't moved from his place for four years but he said that there was living seventeen years old boy. Then there is that lousy assassin. How did he know that we were there in first place and why did he target us."

"I see... Well then we should go sleep too." The warrior said and headed to the bed with Martin quickly after him.

New day came and as Martin woke up he noticed the boy, who was now much more healthy looking than yesterday as his skin was tan coloured rather than pale like before, awake staring at him.

"What is it?" Martin asked from the boy with warm smile on his face.

"Why are you taking care of me?" The boy asked. Well it wasn't question which Martin didn't expect as after all it was quite weird that two men came to basement of forsaken manor and picked up a child without any second thoughts. On other note Martin was quite surprise how fluently this kid spoke common language.

"Well I guess because out of pity but also I have some interest in you as a mage. Oh yeah my name is Martin Farfield and you are?"

"I think my name was Tristan... Tristan Locksen."

"Well then nice to meet you Tristan. If this doesn't offend you too much could you tell me what race you are? I haven't seen anybody like you before."

    "I... I can't remember... Sorry... "

"Well there is no need to try remember for now as everything will come back in time." The mage said with slight smile. "Oh yes before I forgot. Like I said I'm quite interested in you as a mage or wizard which ever term you wish to use as you have a gift inside you. A gift of magic so if we polish it you can become a mage like I am. So how about it do you wish become my apprentice?"

"I guess I could... I don't nothing to lose after all but are you sure you wish to take somebody like me as your pupil?"

"Of course I'm alright with it. Well then we need to get you new clothes and a haircut if you want one or if want we can keep the hair that way but we need at least wash it."

Tristan nodded and so Martin left the inn Tristan right behind him.

Martin headed towards the mages guild to buy a robe as after all now that Tristan is his apprentice Tristan needed a robe which apprentice mages uses. The robe was simple dark red one but did the job as it gave almost total freedom of movement. Tristan wished to keep his hair as it was now so it was only washed which revealed that Tristan's hair colour was dark brown. Also he did make a ponytail of from his hair thought he let bangs to be loose. Martin also got him a spell book where Tristan could write down the spells which he learns.

Now everything was ready for the journey to the Imperial City as this time they had to travel by some other means as Anvil didn't have teleportation circle. Martin and Celestian decided that a ship was best way to travel this time as that would have least chance of attack by assassins but of course even seas had their own dangers.

  18. Chapter VII

    ~The manor and a child~

Martin slowly opened the door. It creaked as if it hadn't been oiled for years and as he stepped inside he smelled a scent which he knew very well. Actually Celeastian also was very familiar with this scent. It was scent of death and to be specific scent of rotten meat. Martin quickly covered his nose with his left hand as he held the staff on his right hand. Even thought Martin was familiar with this scent it didn't mean he was used to it. Also whole place was covered in dust and there was no marks of any footsteps so this place was abandoned long time ago yet Martin heard a voice. The voice was that of crying and it came from same direction as the scent of rotten meat. From basement. Martin made small light to tip of his staff to light their way and walked directly where the voice was coming.

When Martin and Celestian reached the basement a new scent came to play. It was scent of roses which was mixed into the scent of rotten meat and also they crying became louder and louder as they went further in the basement. They soon reached a secret door which was open and led to a some kind of small cave which had an altar middle of it.

"Hey look." Celestian said to Martin and pointed at a corner which was hidden in shadows.

As Martin pointed the light at the corner a small boy was revealed. The kid wasn't much over ten years by looks of him and his skin was pale and even his ribs were shown through the skin as if this boy hadn't eaten in ages. The boys hair was long enough to reach the ground from his sitting position but it was messed up. The boy had only pants and they were worn out with many holes in them. His face was lifeless yet the source of crying was unmistakably this boy. As the boy looked at Martin slowly Martin flinched by surprise. This boys eyes were unlike any human he had met before. They were crimson red.

"Who are you?" Martin asked from the boy.

The boy said something but the voice did not reach Martin's ears. This was most likely because of condition which this kid was.

"Do you wish to come with us and leave this place?" Martin asked as he pitied this boy.

The boy nodded and tried rose to stand yet he could not so Celeastian came and took him to his back.

"We should leave this unholy place." Martin said and pointed at a corpse which had only small amounts of meats here and there. The corpse was covered in pedals of red roses.

This kid who Martin and Celestian found only rose many questions for Martin but he was sure he could find answer to these questions when the kid was back in good condition. There was two questions which especially he wanted to know. First one was what was this kid. He wasn't clearly fully at least human or any other race which Martin knew. The second was how did this kid survive for so long in there for at least four years by looks of dust.

As the companion were about to leave the manor a man walked who's face was hidden in shadows which was laid by his black robe's hood. The man had a staff and a sword.

"This is where you shall die I'm afraid." The man said and raised his free hand to point at Martin and Celestian. The man started to chant a spell which was quite mistake as to cast a spell caster must go to a state which they did not notice anything from outer world as the chants are needed to spell and emphasis must be exactly correct if you wish to cast a spell. If even one letter goes wrong the spell will not work and in worst case it might backfire or cast some other spell. This also meant that mages were quite easy pray for warriors if mages were alone so soon this black robed man found a longsword through where his heart was and died.

"Really... Is this best assassins these days can do?" Celestian stated as he wiped the blood from his sword and sheathed it.

"Well in any case we should leave." Martin told Celestian and walked over the corpse of the assassin.

  19. Chapter VI

    ~To Anvil~

Rest of the day went peacefully and soon the new day rose with sunny weather. Celestian and Martin woke up when first rays of light came from the window of their room and soon were fully dressed. They quickly ate the breakfast in the inn and headed towards the mage guildhall as the telportation should be in use now.

It was quite warm outside even though the town was far in the north at Cyrodiil so even snow was in the ground around the year. Both of companion's steps were quite heavy so they left clear footprints on the snow which was on the ground thanks to all supplies they were carrying. Of course Celestian carried most of the load as Martin was already old and psychically quite out of shape so Martin only carried his staff, a spell book where he had written all spells he knew and ingredients for some spells.

As they entered to the guildhall the same woman as before greeted them and gave a positive reply so they could use the teleportation. The woman led them to the basement of the guildhall where middle of the the room was made a violet spell circle which was quite complex looking. There was a high elf mage sitting in a simple chair and reading a book. As the elf noticed Martin and Celestian he closed the book and rose to stand.

"Greetings arch-mage." The elf said to Martin with small bowing.

"Thank you that you allow us to use this." Martin said with warm smile as he leaned to his staff.

"Anything for you master as after all you have all rights to use it. So what is your destination?"

    "Anvil."

"Alright then just step inside the circle and we can begin."

And so Celestian and Martin did. They stepped inside the circle and the high elf started to mutter a spell. The circle soon started to glow and wrapped both of the companion to bright light. It took about ten minutes to chant the spell and so Martin and Celestian were send to their journey.

It took only few minutes to transport or so it felt as they came to basement of the guildhall at Anvil. The basement was quite dusty as unlike Bruma this wasn't used for anything else but safe keep items of different sort. As both of them came out of the basement to main hall some of the mages looked bit weird at them.

"So what brings you here Arch-Mage?" A khajiit mage asked as she came towards Martin and Celestian.

"That information is something you do not need to know I'm afraid and I'm not planning sharing that information." Martin replied with slight coldness in his tone and started to walk towards the door which went outside and Celestian followed him.

It was warm weather outside as it even brought sweat to the skin only being in under this sun which radiated light and warmness to the earth. Martin directly headed towards the manor which was spoke in the scroll and knocked the door. Three loud knocks but he got no answer. To tell you the truth this place looked it was forsaken for quite many years. That was weird. The scroll directly told that a boy named Farael would live in here. Martin was sure that Nader wouldn't give false information as he has known that person from his birth as Martin was far older than Nader. Something was wrong.

  20. I want quests too BUT it is hard to create good one. After all the quest, for it to be good one, it needs really talented story writer which are rare to come by and also it takes a lot of time to create all those scripts, new dungeons, weapons, armours and NPCs along with creatures. Also what quest might suit to one type of character might not suit yours so quests also needs to be quite neutral on point of view which is sometimes hard to keep.
  21. Chapter V

    ~The New Dawn~

As Celestian and Martin woke up from their beds the sun was high in the sky already and the snowstorm had stopped so it was clear sky for now at least. Celestian yawned loudly as he stretched his arms and started to dress up to the new clothes which Martin bought earlier. Martin on other hand as he woke up his every muscle was in pain thanks to sudden running after years of sitting in his room and studied. He had hard time to rise from the bed but after few minutes he could finally do it. Martin quickly took support from his staff as he came off the bed. After few deep breaths he dressed up to the grey robe. So the new day began for both of the companion.

Celestian soon headed to the fighters guildhall which was located in Bruma to find out the news what has happened around. Of course he got reception of a royalty as after all he was the guild master of the Fighters Guild. There was nothing new going on but Celestian decided to stay on the guildhall for now as he had nothing better to do.

Martin on other hand started to wander the town to see if there was any interesting rumours going on.

"Did you heard there is some new cult forming? A Mythic Dawn I believe the name was." A man said to a woman.

"Yeah I did but I wonder what they represent about..." The woman replied.

"I believe it's some kind of religion if I remember correctly."

As Martin passed the man and the woman he started to wonder. "Mythic Dawn... Mythic Dawn... Why does that name ring some bells in my mind?" Then the puzzle snapped together. "Ah now I remember! I believe it was mentioned with the Oblivion crisis but what was it with referred... I'll have to read that book again when we get back to the Imperial City." Then Martin heard a loud bang on the northern gate and no doubt so did everybody in the town.

He quickly ran to the northern gate. It was blown open and there was scent of gunpowder in the air. "A bomb?" Martin asked from himself as people started gather around as did the guards. Celestian soon spotted Martin.

"What happened?" He asked from the mage.

"I'm not sure but it seems somebody blew the gate open for some reason... And I believe I know who did it but I don't have any proof yet." Martin replied as he held his staff close to him.

Soon an arrow flew towards Celestian but it missed as it was shot too far away for it to be accurate shot.

"I think I have an idea also." Celestia said as he drew his longsword quickly. He was used to this kind of things so he was able to stay completely calm.

A group of people rushed through the gate. It was the same group as Martin and Celestian met in the Cloud Ruler Temple. Soon it became a battle as guards rushed to stop these new invaders. There was around ten guards currently but soon most of the barrack would bring reinforcements so the group of bandits had time limit when they could kill Celestian and Martin which was their objective partly because it was an order from their master and partly because they wanted revenge for blinding them. Even thought they had a plan planned carefully they had one major setback. The guards were also good warriors so they could take care of them and it didn't help at all that more and more guards were coming every minute. There was about two hundreds guards in the town in total before the attack. About ten died when the bomb exploded. On other hand the group of bandits themselves had about thirty members so they were obliviously in major disadvantage. This bothered Martin why did they attack so boldly against these odds.

Soon the attack was over and each member of the group of the bandits were dead and about fifty members of the guards were dead along with few members of the Mage Guild and few members of the Fighters Guild. Most casualties caused suicide bomb which the leader carried so only clues about their ulterior motives were destroyed along with the explosion. Celestian got caught in the blast partly but he only suffered minor wounds from it which were healed quickly by the priests of the church.

"So what you think of the attack?" Martin asked from Celestian.

"Didn't notice anything weird but only thing what bothers me is that they attacked such small group against odds where they surely lose." The warrior replied and sighed.

"So you tough about the same thing as me."
