Found a solution. If anyone else are intersted in this just comment out a line in focus.ws in: C:\Steam Library\steamapps\common\The Witcher 3\content\content0\scripts\game\gameplay\ The line to comment out is: "EnableExtendedVisuals( true, effectFadeTime );" So change it to: //EnableExtendedVisuals( true, effectFadeTime );

I am looking for a simple mod or tweak to just remove the vignette/darkening effect when using the Witcher senses? I have found some mods that adjust the witcher senses I have only found ones that do a lot of things at the same time and I am just looking for something that removes the vignette/darkening effect but does not affect anything else? Do anyone know of one or how to do it?

Trolls are spreading disinformation about the Nexus.

So it is a confirmed that it is not true? I would never support the site again if this was actually true. -
HUD toggle or only show HUD when activating the scanner?
outcastl replied to outcastl's topic in Starfield's Mod Ideas
This is the best I have been able to achieve so far, not a toggle but I can see my health (tiny bar in top left) and enemy health without it being in the way so it is very immersive while still being functional for gameplay (and xp popup in lower right): https://www.nexusmods.com/starfield/images/419 With the BetterHUD mod and editing the xml file: https://www.nexusmods.com/starfield/mods/214 -
I edited my answer as it wasn't clear. What I really meant to say is that having an M in front of the save means that the save has mods and achievements are blocked. If an M is not present, it means that either there are no mods, or if there are mods, then the enabler is working and achievements have been re-enabled. My apologies for not being clearer when I first wrote it. I do use mods though (that hides the HUD elements) Like this one: https://www.nexusmods.com/starfield/mods/480 And I don't use any enabler. But still there is no M in front of my save and my achievements works so it does not seem all mods disable them.

HUD toggle or only show HUD when activating the scanner?

Hopefully someone can make it! -
I backed up my saves and tried to install one of those interface mods and saved in the game and it does not get any M next to the save so it does not seem to be in all cases.

I am a bit confused as to what disables achievements. Does installing mods (like mods that disable the HUD etc) disable achievements or is it only if you use console commands that achievements are disabled? Is it possible to check somehow if you save have disabled achievements or not?

I find it annoying that the healthbar and magic meter are visible even if you have only lost 1 hp etc outside combat. You can still press y to bring them up at any time outside combat. Do anyone know if there is any mod out there that does not make them show up permanently at all time when not in battle? If not possible to remove outside combat it would at least be great if it was possible to decrease the threshold when they are shown (like under 50% etc)

I have looked through some mods that remove HUD elements but I have seen none that actually removes the icon for grappling hook icons? I find these very annoying since they always move around also as you move and look around. Is there any mod that removes these? There is one mod that makes them smaller, would it be possible to modify somehow for someone who has never modded to make them vanish instead?

I am looking for a mod (or something that can achieve something similar) where you can change the color of map markers at will from inside the game. For example I might want to mark a location that I have really searched as green or a location with a locked door as yellow and some dangerous place I had to flee from as red. Often when walking from one location to another you might discover 5-10 locations, but an hour later I don't remember which one I have actually explored or not. It would be really wonderful to be able to mark this somehow. Something like this. Is there anything like it that can achieve something like this?

Is there any mod out there that can reset your skill level towards the next ranks in skill to 0 upon death? Or chose some at random that it decreases? Or decrease them in similar facsion that I think happens when you go to jail in the game? (was a time ago I played it so not sure that is the case in Skyrim)

I have modded Skyrim before but I always curse myself for not preserving my mod setups so I have to start over from scratch every time. I spend months polishing my mod list to make the perfect one for me in how I want the game to look and behave but then now again I have to start over again. I would love to just come back and have that nice base I have made and then be able to add or adjust to it with new mods that might have appeared when I was gone instead of starting over from zero again. Last time I modded a game was with Morrowind and I tried tried to be more organized. My question is really what steps I can take as I start to mod Skryim again to be able to preserve my modded game so I can transfer it to another computer or continue on it in the future without having to start over from scratch? Would it just be a case of doing a complete backup of my Skyrim install folder and all mod folders? Is there actually any article or video about this anywhere out there? Also I used ModOrganizer when I modded Morrowind. Can I use this also for Skyrim or is it recommended to use another mod program?

I wonder if there are any mods out there that makes the HUD less intrusive and smaller, maybe even removes some elements? I play with the auto hide ingame option but in that case also is it possible to change how fast the hud hides so it hides faster and more frequent?

I have only done a very brief search for achievements mods here on Nexus but all I saw was some frameworks for making your own. My question is if there is any mod out there that just "restores" the "vanilla" achievements that where on the console versions of Oblivion but for PC?

I played RD2 when it came out on console and I know I will replay it at some time sooner or later on PC so I wanted to give this mod idea in the hope that it might be something that is done before I get around to it.. One thing that always annoyed me with the sense of detail of RD2 was how the character smoked his cigars and cigarettes. It looks cheap, gamey and unimmersive how just take one puff on the cigar to refill your deadeye meter and then throw it away. It would be much cooler if the character actually smoked the cigar or cigarette for a long time, maybe for 3-10 minutes before throwing it away and the dead eye would slowly slowly refill during that time (I think this would be a good thing also with slower refill over time but could perhaps be optional in the mod since I think dead eye was too op in the game) An added bonus would be that it would be fun to go around with a cigar in the mouth. Maybe there should also be a button to actually throw it away if wanting and perhaps it would be unequiped in cutscenes etc since I assume it is not inbuilt in the engine to handle speaking and having the cigar in the mouth at the same time.

Yes, also have looked at some other variants but they are not really what I am looking for.

Could someone make a racist mod or is there any mod that adds a bit more racism to the game like is described in the lore? I tested to start the game with both an imperial and an argonian and 30 personality and everyone (at least in sydia starter area) had a disposition toward me of 40. Being of the same race bumped it up with 5 to 45. It would be nice with more variety and according to the lore dunmer dont like foreigners in general and especially not argonians so I would like it to be more likely to have less disposition when talking to most dunmer vs imperials etc and also even lower if playing as an argonian etc. But also with some more variety so not everyone is the same. Did not find any mod at all though on nexus regarding disposition execept for one that just lowers it overall for everyone. Also an added coolness would be if you talk to another Dunmer who dont know you are an outlander, then they dont have a lower disposition based on that (since they dont know you are an outlander). But if you trigger dialogue where "outlander" comes up with that NPC or something that reveals it then it could lower their disposition toward you if they are so inclined. Also races that are rare on Morrowind would probably have bigger disposition bonus when seeing another member (you) of their rare kin etc. These would just be extra coolness though and I think the bare basic race dispositions are more important

I swear I saw a mod like this but can't remember the name. I am seeking a mod that penalties resting too much. I don't want it to be over the top so you have to micromanage etc. But if you spend like a week spamming the resting you I would like to get some sort of penalties. Optimal I think it would be nice if there is something keeping track of your "tiredness". And it could be affected by both time and how much you are actually moving around. So if you are moving, running and fighting a lot you do get tired faster and get more "rest" in your bank that you can use to rest and heal up etc. But if you just rest when you are not tired at all your rest would not be as effective and you don't get as much refill to healing or magicka etc. And if you over rest too much you could even get some penalties and perhaps small skill progress loss etc. Or temporary negative buff to things like strength and willpower etc

I played through the game on the hardest diff (survivor ++ I think it was) some months back and while it was enjoyable it was way to easy. I also felt like I had resources pouring out of my ears at all time. I would like to do another playthrough at some point, but I would like things to be brutually hard and that you really had to go out of your way to go on "scavange hunts" to get some resources. Is there any mods or possible to make such mods? Also I would like to balance some things like having fuel be more realistic and not deplete as fast and also it would be cooler if you had to sippon fuel from crashed cars and not just having full fueltanks and gas stations everywhere.

I find it very irritating how my character brings up his weapon from time to time even though I don't want it. It would be great with a mod where you can "holster" your weapon. I tried to just leave one weapon slot empty but if you select that then the character is still in a "fighting" stance with his fists.

I would like a mod that removes the xray thingy from survival sense, especially enemies. Personally the only thing I would like to see are those "red auras" around interactions like the poster and newspaper in the beginning of the game because it seems you can't interact with them unless you mark them first in survivor sense. Even better would be if possible to disable survivor sense but still be able to interact with everything.

I played this quite recently and really enjoyed it. However t is really a bummer that even on the hardest difficulty it is trivially easy, both in the huge amount of resources everywhere but also the enemies. Playing on the hardest diff you would expect things to be very scarce but you will have resources pouring out of your ears. You know something is wrong when you play on the hardest diff and you still stop to pick flowers in the middle of a fight. It is a real shame because it would be super interesting to have to really go out and scavange and explore the environments for resources, but it is never needed as you will have more than enough to even bother. Is there any mods out there that fixes this? I would like to replay the game at some points but I would want it to really feel like a survival game where you really need to pay attention and scavange etc to get by. Also tt would be more interesting if you had to get gas from trashed cars instead of finding full gas cans or stop at a gas station and fill up, but also to compensate the rate of which gas is depleted is way overdone and should be more realistic.
