I've installed ENBoost, and it seems to be doing the trick (the game runs a lot smoother now too, which is nice), but there still seems to be the occasional CTD. They don't seem to crop up until after about an hour of play, but it's still happening. Is there a way to get a complete fix?

I will give ENBoost a try, thank you. It could likely be a memory issue, although I have noticed that the game crashes every time I try to enter a certain Stormcloak camp in the Reach in order to start at civil war mission. But it also crashes at other times for no apparent reason.

Okay, so basically my game was (mostly) stable for a long while. I had the occasional glitch and even the very occasional CTD, but I figured this was to be expected with a heavily modded game. But recently the CTDs have become more and more frequent, until yesterday I was having one after less than a minute of playing, nearly every time. I will admit, I did get greedy and install a few extra mods here and there that weren't in the save game to start with, but the game still appeared stable up until now. But I suspect these additions might be the problem. The mods I added were Racemenu, Familiar Faces, the Wolf Follower mod and possibly Better NPCs, although I'm pretty sure that last one was already installed. I'm not sure what to do. I've tried re-doing my load order with LOOT and rebuilding my bash patch, and that seems to have improved things a bit, but I'm still getting the random CTDs, just less frequently. I could try cleaning the mods, but I don't know if that will improve things or make them worse. Some advice would be awesome, thanks! Update: After a full reinstall, doing everything I did before as well as making a bash patch, it seems like the problem is solved! It seems that part of the problem was that I was relying on a save that had been supposedly "cleaned" by another program. But now I've loaded an old save, and Wrye Bash is giving be a big purple tick, so it looks like it's all good :laugh: I'll be back if there's any more problems. I was actually using LOOT in the first place, but I thought BOSS was the better one. My bad. I've reordered the mods with LOOT. Unfortunately it doesn't seem to have made a difference. I'm wondering if maybe I should just reinstall the whole game, reload all the mods with bash patches and reload an older save. Would that work?

On an unrelated note, this is my first time posting to the forum, so hi there, and please forgive any lack of forum etiquette. :happy: I know there's a billion similar posts on this forum, but I've read a bunch of them and none of them have helped, so here I am. As you may have guessed, I’m playing a heavily modded Skyrim (see mod list below). Recently during my mage playthrough, I strolled into Whiterun with Rumarin (from Interesting NPC’s) as my follower. I went into Dragonsreach, bought a spell from Farengar (Dispel Magic from the Apocalypse pack), enchanted my Nordic War Pick (from Immersive Weapons), tried to save my game, and bam, my game crashes. This is the second time in this playthrough that I’ve gone to Whiterun and Dragonsreach, and this has never happened before, in any playthrough. Since then I’ve fixed my load order with BOSS, cleaned everything with TES5EDIT, made sure SSME is installed properly, reinstalled SKSE, and I’ve even tweaked SkyrimPrefs.ini slightly. Nothing has worked, obviously. With some experimentation, it seems that I can load my old save and walk around Whiterun just fine. I can even enter Dragonsreach just fine. But if I enter, leave and enter again, or talk to someone and/or perform an activity (buy something, enchant something) and then try to save, or wait, then it crashes. Basically, it seems like hanging around in Dragonsreach for any due amount of time causes a CTD. At this point, I’m considering trying Wrye Bash, but on install it asks me to reinstall the game outside my directory files to avoid problems, and I would like to avoid a full reinstall if possible. Will Wrye Bash help my case at all? I feel like I’m going crazy. Any assistance at all would be greatly appreciated.
