  1. Well I fixed it after installing a the 2k HD Texture resolution pack http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/607 (the one about towns). But yes it seems to be a LOD problem (I also removed improved LOD mod)
  2. I had the same problem too after the update 1.8. Fix the problem by using my backups 1.7 update.esm and .bsa I don't know if this is really a fix to be honest, but the problem is gone. ( I am using AFT follower mod)
  3. Well to be honest I don't know if 1.8 is the culprit on that one, but here take a look at my whiterun now : Screenshot 1 Screenshot 2 Screenshot 3 I have check other towns and they are fine. Just 3 hours before the update I ran TES5edit because BOSS told me to clean, so I just followed the instructions very carefully but here I am. (but I am not sure the bug wasn't there before I ran TES5edit) Otherwise no other textures weirdness to report so far ... Does anyone have any clues on how to fix this ? Thanks !
  4. Which mod are more likely to bloat the save ? I have enable papyrus report in the ini files, but I can't find them .... According to savegames scanner , it is only the papyrus section that is inflating , what does it means ? Too many errors reporting ?
  5. Do you mean you have to deplace the folder , launch game, save the fame ?, quit , and then replacing folder for that to work ?
  6. Check if your saves have not started to bloat. (meaning dramatically increasing in size)
  7. Hi, Same issue with bloated save, but I don't have dawnguard, only the 1.7 update. Tried to stay below 20mb with my level 86 character but now once I am outsite a town the save size double. (40mb ... :wallbash: ) The file size is stable in town it seems. Of course I have a lot of mods, I just removed warzone, that reduce the bloating but it is still really high. In addition any dialogue line that is running a script seems to take forever to launch. Can someone confirm me that reinstalling the whole game is going to fix this ? Thanks. Which mod are more likely to bloat the save ? (I suppose any mods that add scripts but ...) Pretty sure it must be one in particular...
  8. Hi, I have check without AFT and the problem is still here. Thx for you suggestion.
  9. Hi, This looks like you are missing some animation. I suppose it is the draw animation that is missing or may be conflicting with something. check your folder C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\SteamApps\common\skyrim\Data\Meshes\actors\character\animations. Make a save and try to remove files like : 1hm_attackleft.hkx , 1hm_attackpower.hkx , 1hm_attackright.hkx ; 1hm_runrightattackleft.hkx Did you install any mods that change animation ? Did you use Nexus Mod Manager to install them ?
  10. Hi, I have a weird bug, Jordis, is walking extremely slowly, both her walking animation and speed. (like in slow motion) She does run normally but, again at a very very low speed. (She looks like she is running on the ice with oil on it) I am using Amazing Follower Tweak, but the other followers are working fine. I have check her walking speed in the creation kit, and it seems normal , 100. I fear it is physic related problem , like she is some kind of overburdened even without any items. She is unaffected by Unrelenting Force. If I dismiss her I can kill her with console command, but once she is up she can't move normally. Tried also to the resurrect command but without any luck. If anyone encountered this, let me know. Thanks for reading.
  11. I had this freezing bug without using HD texture pack (And I don't use Static Mesh Improvement mod either) . And Even on the lowest setting possible I had those. I have tested with my older save, And it is stable for now, except that now I am experiencing CTDs on loading screen :D ... But it seems mods related this time. Thx for the link, I will take a look and post feedback.
  12. I have load an older save, and the problem seems to be gone (yet the most recent one crash after 20 sec of playing) ... Recently the periodic freezing have been CTD every time. Tell me if you still having this bug with an older save, or maybe try with a new character
  13. Hi, I have the same issue, a micro freeze happening every 20 secs ... freaking annoying ... I am glad I have found this post , I spent my all day to figure out what was wrong with recently installed mods ... (never had those freezes before, seems to be 1.5 related) Any ideas on how to fix this ? Or we might need to wait for another patch ? I have an ATI HD 5870 card by the way.
  14. thanks a lot for the fix !!! I had this bug since I udpated to 1.5. Removing the D3D9.dll did the trick ! And the shadowy image is one big grass texture image that is panning back and forth. (it also depends on the location)
  15. Hello modders and Skyrim fans, First thanks to modding community for creating and sharing awesome mods. Well My idea is very simple being able to walk with yours companions in Skyrim like you will do with a pal in a street. I really think it would look totally awesome if followers are able to walk/run along with the playing character. Lots of mods aim to provide better quality textures which are great, but I think the major part that help you to get this realistic feeling when wandering across the game is the way how humans npc interact with the world (including you !). After all those years playing oblivion and fallout3 & NV, I found that it really breaks the immersion when you turn back and see all your followers waiting in a that very straight line (and using the same standing animation ... but that is another problem ^^). it feels so artificial ... I don't know much about making mods, so I wonder if it is possible to create some scripts for npc to allow them to simply walk around you or right to your side. I really think it will make wandering in skyrim so much more immersive. Well I can imagine, this won't be simple, for example a follower will have to match the player walking speed, find a spot without collusioning with the environment(and without preventing you to go threw that narrow passage...) . There are really a lot of details to be taken to account just to make an IA looks behaving " normal "( And yeah I know it is a full-time job for some 3D animators in a developing team) . But being able to wonder skyrim with you group, rather than having them following like lemmings, would really be life changing !
