DEF-UI is a requirement for FallUI.

I seem to recall that I read that somewhere, but I can't remember where, so I thought I'd check here. I currently have 191 BA2s in my FO4 Data Folder. The main reason I'm asking is that I'm having an issue with having to load my game saves twice to get into the game, and I've never heard of that. I load a save the 1st time, it starts loading for about 15 seconds, then I CTD. I try loading the same exact save a 2nd time, and it loads into the game in about 5 seconds. I haven't tried this with absolutely every save I have, but it has consistently done this for every save I load. It doesn't seem like corrupt save games, or they wouldn't work at all (I'm assuming). Maybe it is and I just need to go through my mods again and start over as I'm only about 23 hours in. I don't get any stuttering or FPS drops, and only a few random CTDs. So I don't know if I'm trying to load too much (as a lot of the BA2s are textures). I can attach a load order it that would be helpful, but I haven't at this point (and there are no errors from Loot). Loading all my mods up in FO4Edit, then applying the Conflict Filter, there are quite a few red highlighted entries, but I'm really at a loss what to do there, as I'm very much a novice when it comes to FO4Edit. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.

@kxkorrupter- this is over a year later , but your post solved my issue, as Loot all of a sudden wouldn't reconize FO4, after having used it for several days. Your method helped me to get it back. Thank-you.

You rock, Colonel, thank-you.

Hopefully I'm in the right area for this question. I can see how to upload an image/screen shot to the Nexus, but how to I go about adding it, or uploading it, to a specific modders page so that it will show up in their images tab? I didn't see any way to do it from a mod page, only uploading in general. Any help would be appreciated.

So I started playing Skyrim again, after almost 2 years, and on a newer computer. I kept getting the "infinite load screen" and the game wouldn't load. After some maneuvering of mods, I got it to start, but got the "I'm stuck under the wagon intro" and couldn't progress. As it had been nearly 2 years since I'd played, and on a different computer, I wasn't sure what, if any files I had transferred, and which ones had been downloaded new. So I bit the bullet, uninstalled all mods from Nexus Mod Manager. Then uninstalled Nexus Mod Manager, SKSE, Loot, and then Skyrim (through Steam). Then went through reinstalling all those programs, then downloading all the mods I wanted to use (through Nexus Mod Manager). So I started up a new game through SKSE (after running Loot), and the game started and ran smooth as silk even on my 4K monitor, all through the intro, the Riverwood quests, and down to the gates of Whiterun. But now, every time I try to enter Whiterun the game freezes about 3 seconds after I enter, just after the "Discovered Whiterun" message displays and starts to fade. Up to this point, there were absolutely no crashes or freezes. This isn't the first time I've installed mods, I played Skyrim with 3 different characters, all modded, on my old computer without a problem (over 1800 hours). While by no means am I an expert, and certainly not skilled enough to mod, I do read the modders instructions and note any potential conflicts. I tried to find a way to copy my mod list from Loot to this post, but couldn't figure it out (guess I could use some help with that too). But whatever is going on, I really don't think it's the fault of my mods. So I thought I'd post the Windows crash message, hoping that it would make sense to someone and might point me in the right direction. The crash message is as follows: Description: A problem caused this program to stop interacting with Windows. Problem Signature: problem event name: ApHangB1 application name: TESV.exe application version: 1.9.32.0 application time stamp: 51437cc5 hang signature: 6a1b hang type: 2048 OS version: 6.1.7601.2.1.0.256.48 Locale ID: 1033 additional hang signature1: 6a1b76c83a2a87dd16296f23c62efc86 additional hang signature2: fb17 additional hang signature3: fb1724e708bcc06ccc18c535f7283c36 additional hang signature4: 6a1b additional hang signature5: 6a1b76c83a2a87dd16246f23e62efc86 additional hang signature6: fb17 additional hang signature7: fb1724e708bcc06ccc18c535f7283c36 It appears that these "additional hang signatures" are repeating: 1 is the same as 5, 2 is the same as 6, 3 is the same as 7, the only unique one is 4. I have no idea what any of this means. But you people are smarter than me, so if you can see a direction for me to go to correct this crash, please let me know. I really, really, don't want to have to uninstall everything again and completely start over unless absolutely necessary. But I can't let this go. I want to play Skyrim again modded. Vanilla Skyrim holds no interest for me, it's the modders who have made this game great. Thank you for reading.

It's the best money I spend on games every year since I joined. As gamers and modders, we need to support sites like the Nexus, who give the opportunity to mod our games without censorship. Can you download mods here without a premium membership? Yes. But you're doing yourself and this site a Disservice. Premium membership allows vastly faster download times and no advertising banners. It also allows you to modify your games, like Skyrim and FNV to the point of being completely different experiences. Please support these independent sites.

I run into this problem sporadically, especially with the larger mod downloads. Down loading through NMM I get the error you're describing and NMM shuts down with a couple of error messages. It's a pain in the ass, but if you restart NMM and login and then try the download again (you should see it listed at the bottom in the download manager section) by just clicking the file and select "resume download" it should work after the 2nd or 3rd attempt. At least it does for me. I like the organization and ease of installing and uninstalling mods in NMM. But the downloading can be wonky. I suspect it may be related to the amount of traffic on the server. I've had better luck with downloads early in the morning (6:00am to 10am, Maine, USA time). The downloads will work, but extreme patience is required. It also helps to be a member, servers are better and faster with less traffic. Plus you don't have to put up with the advertising. If you download from the Nexus a lot, the $80-$90 yearly fee is worth it. Plus it helps keep this site functional.

I had the infinite loading screen bug for the 1st time at level 5 with my 5th character. I run 157 mods with no problems, but all of a sudden I couldn't load any of my saves. Why (I still don't know)? None of my saved games would work, even though they all saved on my previous day of playing. I faced the daunting task of trying to uninstall/install a combination of those 157 mods. I googled this issue and found a utube video of a solution (sorry, I don't remember the person's name ((but I love you man)), but the vid is 0:45 sec long). You simply delete the majority of your saved games in the documents/games/skyrim/saves. THEN, load the save you want. I don't actually delete my saves, I cut them, then paste them to my backup drive for each character. It works. Must be something to do with the total size of all the combined saved games in that folder? Maybe there is a better way to do this, but this method works and will save you hours of frustration. I would like to hear more of this issue as I am at 1701 total hours in skyrim over a 3 year period and 5 characters. The incredible talent of the modding community makes Skyrim so much more of a world than it was when it released.
