IDK either. But everything runs fine til I put ENBoost on. For one, it kicks the FPS cap and I'm running 130+ FPS. Any time I get near anything that requires more PC than open space it starts skipping frames and the dragonborns hands/weapons go down (as if I've pressed R) every time a frame skips. (IDK if it's actually skipping frames, that's just the best description I can come up with ATM) I tried using Afterburner to record and it dropped teh FPS to a reasonable level and it seemed to go away. That's what made me look at the INI to find the FPS cap had been removed. After turning that back on and setting it to 60 it looked a lot better but still not right. Sort of like those videos people take underwater. This weird line appears any time I look around. Try to imagine a horizontal fold in my screen with the crease coming out at me. It gets worse around waterfalls and trees. Game doesn't look good again until I do a fresh install.. smh... Man, reinstalling this and getting it working has been worse than pulling my own damn teeth. Last time I just threw in mods, ran loot, and called it a day... Had like 150 mods and no real problems.. Now I've got just a few and it's always something.

Thanks. I'm up and running but having other issues. ENBoost has trashed my setup somehow. Even running the game vanilla from the steam client isn't right. So it's gotta be ENBoost. that's the only thing i know of in my Skyrim folder that I've never had in there before.. Unless bethini is messing it up somehow but I don't think it would be..

Hey guys, So, a while back I FINALLY upgraded my 1280x1024 panel that I've had since 2k4. Bought a nice 1080, 144hz, asus gaming panel. The problem was all my skyrim profiles were locked into the 1280x1024 and I couldn't fix it. Something to do with SKSE and whatnot. So I just, and it was an absolute suck to do it, deleted everything and reinstalled. I have SKSE and MO, SIMM and a few other mods. Nowhere near as many as I had before. I'm having problems with textures disappearing (like armor turns blue, fire is just squares, breath is squares, etc.) and crash to desktop. I was considering reinstalling again and going through S.T.E.P. The only mods I really use outside of graphical ones are immersive armors, immersive weapons, UNP body, some armors, and most of the first couple pages of 'popular mods' 1 or 2 player homes, whistle for horse, unlmited bookshelves, the community college, and a few from the workshop I have to install manually. It seems like a lot of the mods I use are already in S.T.E.P. Is S.T.E.P. up to date and reliable? What's the best place to find a up to date S.T.E.P. install guide? Thanks in advance for any useful answers.

What mods make skyrim fun to play?
phantommaggotxxx replied to bonewax's topic in Skyrim's Skyrim LE
Interesting NPCs. You get some cool followers and quests from that. Bandoliers, that extra and immersive storage is super helpful. Skyrim Community College. I liked that I didn't need to hunt down trainers and if you decide to use it, don't read the books until AFTER you train yourself up through the trainers. Vampre lord and werewolf looting. So you can loot when transformed. How you play the game matters too. Do you just rush throughthe main quests or do you work through all the side quests too. Are you a dark brotherhood type of guy, or an Imperial soldier type. -
I actually did this yesterday. I found this - http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/56894/?tab=1&navtag=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.nexusmods.com%2Fskyrim%2Fajax%2Fmoddescription%2F%3Fid%3D56894%26preview%3D&pUp=1 I pulled my NMM folder since it is basically a big list of my mods. Un subbed my workshop stuff. Watched ghophers vids. I did a fresh install. Then I did everything in that tutorial I linked down to Bashing my mods. After bashing I tried to start the game to make sure everything was working. I IMMEDIATELY crash to desktop when I try to load or start a new game. This happens weather or not I start with SKSE or Steam(no unofficial updates) One more thing. And I know this is noobish. I dont have the HD texture packs. Are those from 2k textures or are they from the 'DLC' in steam? I'd like to add that there are 2 major reasons I'm switching to MO 1. I was having random crashes with NMM. Usually walking through doors or into undiscovered places. 2. I want a separate profile for 'The Frost fall Experience'...

Hey So I was never really into morrowwind or oblivion back in the day. Wasn't really interested in skyrim when it came out. A little while back I saw skyrim on steam for $14. Legendary. Couldn't pass up the cheap entertainment. I originally got mods from the workshop. Nothing special, just stuff to perk the game up. Few weeks later I did a fresh install and got NMM. Threw a lot of great mods into the game. Still had to get a few from the workshop, but everything seems to be working ok. I'm wanting to do another fresh install and go with mod organizer. I'm getting a few weird glitches right now and I like what I saw when I watched vids on mod organizer. I'm also wanting to go a little more immersive/survival with my mods next go round. Use alternate starts to get a more random game as well. Is there any way I can get a list of my mods exported. Or am I gonna have to write them all down and start over? What would you pros suggest I do? Also, Is there any way I can keep my current save games without them becoming corrupted? My original savegames got cancer or something when I reinstalled the last time. Thanks -J
