So, I'm working on a new mod, my first, and I'm already running into problems. I'll provide a quick summary of the issue first, then a synopsis of the mod if anyone's interested in assisting with development. PROBLEM: Created a new worldspace. Built a little, saved, closed CK and took a break. Came back later, loaded file, static objects are in place but landscape is gone. Can't even use the Landscape Editing tool to fix it. I had a peak built, with the starting area up at the top. Nothing remained after loading it back up except for the platform (you come through a portal) and the surrounding rocks. What happened??? SYNOPSIS: "Hellscape: The Withered Realm" is a horror-survival type mod I have planned. While in Skyrim, a courier approaches you and hands you a bloodstained note. In this note is a desperate cry for help from a stranger, who sent this letter to you because you are the most famous adventurer in the land. They tell you to come to a portal that has opened and meet them, if they survive. When you get there, you find only a mangled body, with a few personal effects strewn about. Among them is a journal, detailing a new threat to Tamriel, from someone known as the "Bastard King". From what you can gather, this individual is a powerful and deranged sorcerer who owns his own pocket dimension, the Withered Realm, and wants to bring all of Tamriel under his rule, even if it means ruling over a barren and scorched kingdom. You step through the portal, and end up atop a mountain. From what you can see, there's something just...wrong...about it all. It's twisted. Dark. (imagine the shattered worlds from Oblivion that each gate led to, but with more "shadowy and sinister" than "burning and broken"). You climb down the mountain, and begin your quest to investigate, and eventually confront, this new evil.
