Fewer mountains and hills

I once went to a planet that was nothing but mountains and deep valleys. There wasn't a flat place anywhere. I would like a mod that reduces all mountains and hills to 30 or 40 feet, or the equivalent. Let's have some plains. Flat areas are the exception. You almost never find them.

I don't think there's any mods that can alter the procedural algorithms used to generate terrain. Doing so would potentially be VERY dangerous to integrity of the game, I suspect.
