LE Convert Free 3D Meshes for Skyrim

Hey guys, I came across a few free sets of 3D meshes I thought would be great static resources for modders to use in Skyrim if only someone skilled with 3d models could convert these into working NIFs.

• Wooden Dock Set
• Wooden Fence Set
• Plank Fence Set
• Brick Wall Set

Also, I am looking for a fireplace with chimney I can use for a house with no load doors. All the fireplaces in Skyrim can't be used because they have incomplete chimney meshes.

Are files from these kinds of websites ok to use?

 

Would the nexus staff have a problem with it?

I wouldn't see why not. The author of the fences, for example, specifically lists those meshes for use in games, and the meshes are listed free. I'd recommend providing the authors with credit and a link to their original work.

I wonder why nobody has converted any of their animal meshes for Skyrim?

Those are after all listed as "free"

 

Maybe sending a message to original author + providing proper credit.

I've seen one case which included meshes from free-to-use site like that, but issue was that uploader did nothing to get them into Skyrim.

Just reuploaded the meshes and claimed he did them.

 

I don't know anything about converting meshes though, no idea if it's hard to do or anything.

Yea it would be cool for someone to convert a bunch of these into a mod resource for people to use

 

Would add diversity to skyrim mods
