GamerChas Posted May 26, 2013 Share Posted May 26, 2013 I was playing GOTY with the expansions activated but not with the Gun Runners Arsenal activated. I wanted some bug fixes so I installed the NVEC bug fixes only mod and activated GRA because NVEC needs it. I just got ED-E in Primm and I notice that its gun is different. It now turns enemies into goo piles instead of lighting them on fire. Is this from NVEC or from GRA? is ED-E's weapon now stronger? Because, I do not want a stronger ED-E or anything else to be stronger from NVEC. I just want a bug fix pack. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Nihilisaurus Posted May 26, 2013 Share Posted May 26, 2013 NVEC moved beyond being simply a bug-fix mod quite a while ago. There's a lot of extra content in there that's not merely fixes to the game as it shipped. It's not necessarily a bad thing, but the name change was subtle and a lot of people still assume it's a bugfix mod like it used to be. Oh, and blanket marking all unused formids as 'initially disabled' in the 'bugfix' module (still goes a bit beyond its namesake iirc) plays hell with Tale of Two Wastelands. luthienanarion Posted May 28, 2013 Share Posted May 28, 2013 That's why there's a version of NVEC named "BugFixes" that does exactly what you want and nothing else. It also says to use Enhancements (and no other version, such as one that includes the changes to FO3 records) if playing with TTW right there on the description page.
