aaros
Hey all, I am working on a mod, but I have encountered a serious problem when I'm making levels. This bug happens with every level I make and it seems to have started with no provocation, to levels that were working fine previously. Whenever I load my level in Skyrim, instead of the level that I've actually made showing up, recently all that happens is my character falls through blackness - absolute blackness. Like this:http://cloud-2.steampowered.com/ugc/884109154777144840/3025EA00762FC2A6104B8A826BAB3D14F013EA33/ Previously, the level worked, and I haven't moved my cocmarker or anything. But a second glitch coincides with this: Generally, I start a new cell by duplicating aaamarkers. Now, whenever I try to do that, instead of seeing the cell, the render window is just full of blackness. Like this:https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/14470091/example.pngAnd in the creation kit, the background behind my levels in the render window is black instead of grey, like this:https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/14470091/example2.png This just started happening randomly while I was in the middle of editing my level. The level I was working on loaded fine before, and is now suddenly broken. This problem persists whether I restart the creation kit and on another computer which I also ran the creation kit in my steam account on. In any case, does anyone have any insight about this problem? It will be impossible for me to create anything until it goes away, and I wonder if anyone else has had this issue. Oracleofmoons
What if you start fresh, and do something simple, to quickly test. If a fresh mod works as intended, then at least you would know the files in question are corrupted. The other options I assume, are that either your CK file itself is corrupted, or your base Skyrim_main Honestly, I don't imagine they are. My guess, is you somehow boned it up yourself, except for you mentioned another mod having the same issue.... Are the two mods in any way connected? Or maybe you worked on both files the same day, and forked them both up? ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ When I use CK, I save a LOT, and whenever I'm even 1% worried that I messed up, I reload. Caution is my only defense, because a few times, I ruined a days work, and had no clue what I even did.

It affects every mod file I've made. So ever other mod file I've created in the past up to this point suddenly has this issue as well, it seems. Oracleofmoons
Your having the same problem, on another computer, with new files? Ok, then obviously its something more than an error u made in a particular file. Here is my guess. When you first learned how to mod, there was some function, that you have since forgotten. Its probably a box you need to click, or something silly, that when you remember, you will /facepalm I would go back, and watch the tutorials. I know this can be painful, but yeah, I'm guessing it is something small that you knew about, and now are forgetting to do.

Also, this problem still persists after reinstalling the creation kit from scratch. I'm guessing no one else has had this problem?
Oracleofmoons
I have, I just don't remember when. I'm currently working on an overhaul type mod, (learning as I go) but, when I got the kit a while back, I got heavily into player house modding. I remember at one point, making a mistake, and just falling into the void upon entering my home. It was months ago, and I now can't remember anything else. If I fixed it, or just deleted, and started new. But either way.... huh.... I can imagine the problem, cuz I've seen it myself. I just can't imagine how it's following you like this.... Sorry dude. Anyways, nobody responds to my threads, so plz go add input! lol One is super long, labeled "Ascension" probably way too long, TLDR s#*!, but also I have two other threads, the "Name that Place Game" and one labeled, "OH Brainstorm", Both are just fun threads for my mod. I have tons of ideas, but I'm just trying to have some fun on the forums. I wish you the best of luck.------------------------------------------------------------------------------P.S. As im finishing up here, I remember a trick. If you want your computer baby butt clean. restart, and spam the F8 key, while computer is loading. this will send you to options otherwise hidden. One of them, is to Factory Reset. Yes, just like the day it came out the box. Of course all info is lost.
Teria23
Have you played with the LOD settings by any chance? In File - Preferences - LOD, there's an option called "Landscape LOD Texture Blend" which, when I enabled it, rendered all terrain textures black. All my settings were default when I reinstalled the kit, and these are interior cells I'm working with, so I don't think LOD affects it.
