Grecia300
Aight so the issue is pretty much like the title says. I've had this issue for about 9 months now, and its slowly gotten worse to the point that I cant go 5 minutes out in the wilds without this happening. Its a constant issue. There is a period of time (between 2 or 3 seconds, to over a minute) where sound just doesnt play at all, followed by a freeze for several minutes. Sometimes pressing A on my xbone controller 3-6 times can force the game to unfreeze but that has a 50/50 shot of just causing a flurry of these issues to happen repeatedly one after another. This could occur indoors, outdoors, with 30 npcs around, or with only 2 or 3. It can happen anywhere and everywhere. Less so in ruins and dungeons like Bleak Falls Barrow, or Mzulft, from my experience. I believe it is somewhat influenced by the amount of mods in my bashed patch, mods that edit spawn tables (both npcs and loot), and the number of script heavy and quest mods in the LO. But I have almost nothing to back that up, not for an absolute fact. I have reinstalled Skyrim several times in an attempt to improve things, to no affect. I drastically change my LO every playthrough, so I highly doubt its a specific mod due to lack of many of those across 12 different load order's. I am out of idea's and patience, so I need help here. CPU - Intel® Core i5-7400 CPU @ 3.00 GHz Graphics card - AMD Radeon R9 M360 (VRAM is 4096 MB)System RAM - 16 GBIts a desktop, not sure if its got integrated graphics card or not. My Skyrim is installed on my external hard drive (G: SteamLibrary/steamapps/common/Skyrim)Game version is obviously the latest version (not entirely sure where to check for the specific number, doesnt seem to be in steam)I have all DLC'sI use MO classic version 1.4 (found on the MO2 SSE mod page)My SKSE version is 1.7.03I have the Creation Kit, TES5Edit, Wrye Bash, Skyrim Save Game Cleaner, Merge Plugins, Dual Sheathe Redux, and Nemesis Engine installed for tools and such. I also have Loot, Mator Smash, and a couple things to help with ENB management but I never use any of those.I'll post my Load Order in the attachment section below. I can also post my mod list, if needed. Edited May 16, 2021 by Grecia300
Hannibal139
Happens in my game too but not quite often as you described. Only happens occasionally when i travel few times in a row between skyrim or any other mod that has its own background music such being world of rudra. Anyway i see you have immersive sounds installed, maybe it is a culprit or not. Have you tried verifying game cache in steam? Or you should try cleaning up your save files, if by chance you have uninstalled mods at some point and didn't start new game after.
Grecia300
Unfortunately, none of those suggestions are viable, at least in my case. It cant possibly be Immersive sounds, as I've used it literally since I started modding, many many years before this issue cropped up.Verifying the cache through steam shouldnt produce any results whatsoever, as I have not only tried it before, but - as I said in the OP - reinstalled Skyrim several times. Which pretty much does the same thing.Cleaning my saves isnt going to work either. They are already clean, ontop of this issue affecting multiple profiles within Mod Organizer. With my setup, each profile has its own individual save folder. They're completely separate.
Hannibal139
Agreed, immersive sounds shouldn't be the culprit here as it replaces only fx sounds but you never know lol. How about then replacing Skyrim's default bgm with some other music mod, if there is any? What about volume mixer, are volumes of speakers and system sounds at equal levels including of skyrim while it is being played?
Grecia300
I can safely say it isnt Immersive sounds. As said in the OP, I drastically change my LO from playthrough to playthrough. This includes the music mod I use. I probably have 6 or 7 in my left pane in MO. Far as volume mixing? I have my speakers, my headphones plugged into them, the volume controls on my keyboard (buttons are just above the numpad), and then there is the volume controls of skyrim itself.... there is no way in hell that they are all the same. But thats not the problem either, cus I always had it this way, minus the headphones which were a recent addition. (since November)
Hannibal139
Dreams & Nightmares ha! I did not see it at first. I can't believe my eyes, it was right there above immersive sounds lol. Listen now buddy get this mod compeletly off from skyrim. Sort your load order with loot.launch the game, wait few minutes to make sure every script is loaded compeletly then make a save in pause menu. Get fallrim tools from nexusmods, execute its resaver utility. Load that save file with it. Remove/clean up "unattached script instances" and "undefined elements" from that save file and save; overwrite, if asked to. Load that save now in skyrim and play happily ever after. Do not bother to thank me lol bye

Grecia300
Clearly you didnt listen to me the first time I said it cant be an individual mod. I love Dreams and Nightmares. First time I used it, no problems. I rotate my music mods, never using the same mod twice in a row. The whole line that its a sound mod at fault seems a dud to me. From where I sit, the sound d-sync could easily be a symptom of the problem, or an after affect of the thing causing the freezes, rather than the cause of them. Hannibal139
Yeah well everything here works for first or few times correctly and over the course of time things start to fall apart. Scripts lag, npcs start acting weird, chickens bark, dragonborn gets irritated and skyrim becomes sick and users idk they get loose motion. Anyway it could be this known win 10 bug. If your OS is win 10 then here is fix for your problem maybe you should try it https://forums.nexusmods.com/index.php?/topic/7075341-how-to-solve-skyrimsse-no-sound-on-windows-10-bootcamp/Also try asking for help on reddit. Skyrim's experienced users community is alive and active there I'm sure they'll be of great help to you. Bye bye and my last words to you "NEVER HESITATE TO UNINSTALL MODS"

Scripts lag, npcs start acting weird, chickens bark, dragonborn gets irritated and skyrim becomes sick and users idk they get loose motion I can agree with this. That is, the quint-essential typical Skyrim, afterall. And I am on windows 10 (horrid thing that it is... >.<)I'll try that link and see if it helps. EDIT : Aight, I tried and it seems I cant even try to complete the process. Windows says I dont have the sufficient privilege to perform the action (when I attempt to link the sound bsa in the new vhd to the skyrim data folder). Guess I am right back to square one.
