If you click the search button at the top right, you can check to see if the question has already been asked. This one has. As it is your first post I will give you an answer but it helps to get used to the functions. Especially as you'll get the answers quicker. To trap a soul you need a suitable soul gem and a trap spell. For Golden Saints these must be grand soul gems or Azura's Star (a rechargeable gem given as a reward for completing Azura's quest). Cast the spell on the golden saint and then kill it. There is a time limit from casting to entrapment so if you are slow it might fail. I don't believe you can buy soul gems containing Golden Saints (or Ascended Sleepers which are as good). However you can get scrolls of summon golden saint. You can also learn the spell but it requires a lot of mana. Soul trap spells can also be learned or acquired as scrolls. Better still there are several enchanted weapons that trap souls when you use them. Which one to go for will depend on level and circumstances. The easiest is probably obtained by completing the Balmora Mages' Guild quests. They are not particularly difficult and you are awarded the Soul Drinker (a dagger). If you talk to Helviane Desele in Suran's House of Earthy (Earthly) Delights you will learn of Umbra (a long sword). Also once you have done his two quests you can dispose of Larrius Varro whose sword Temreki (I'm spelling that wrongly) will also trap souls. However killing him may result in you losing one of the Morag Tong grey writs. I will move this to spoilers because it contains such info. Next time try the search button first. Lucifer117b Posted August 17, 2004 Share Posted August 17, 2004 Keep your common soulgem and capture something like a skeleton or dreugh with it, they are still useful though not overly powerful. Certain enchanters sell soulgems, and you can steal some from people around morrowind that already have captured souls. Like Galbedir in the Balmora mages guild.
