How do I install skins

Which mod are you trying to install?

Usually you will unzip the file.

This new folder (lets call it "NewSkins") will usually contain a Data Folder inside.

Inside this Data folder you may find a Textures folder, a Meshes folder and an esp file.

These three go in your Fallout 3 / Data folder. You can either copy and paste these into the Fallout 3/ Data folder or just copy and paste the Data folder from the mod into your Fallout 3 directory.

Hopefully that helps with where you need to put the files etc

Well I just need to replace the old files by the new skins I want to put in there, but I haven't got a clue how, as I'm not able to go into my Fallout 3 - Textures.bsa inside my Data folder.

I also tried to archive it and extract the files and then replace them, but it didn't work.

Or am I just not getting it here.

Unfortunately you're not getting it

You don't touch the textures.bsa file.

All you are doing is putting a Textures folder (from the mod) into the Data directory of your Fallout 3 folder.

You will then link to the new textures by using ArchiveInvalidation.

What mod are you trying?

I'm not trying to install a mod, just replace some skins

It is still known as a texture mod. Mod stands for modification. Replacing skins is modifying.

Just check the readme that came with the download and refer back to here when you get stuck again. I've explained everything you could possibly need to know about getting it to work.

It's a matter of you sitting down and reading through these posts slowly until you understand.
