EagleOrion
Basically, is there a mod that allows a player to mark any place on a map with any icon and title? Such that when I find a place, I decide where it is based on my best guest? I'm going full-immersion right now with iHUD and Frostfall, and this would be a nice addition. I'm interested in removing location marker placement ON DISCOVERY. If an NPC TELLS me where something is on a map, that's totally fine. But I shouldn't know where a fort is immediately upon waltzing into it. I saw a mod that gives you a spell to mark your current position, but that still defeats the purpose. The idea is you have to GUESS where you are, and mark the place on the map accordingly. I actually posted this question in another thread as a secondary question not related to thread topic. Nobody responded. So I figured it deserves its own thread.
Tehandyman
I don't really understand what you want. Do you WANT to know what the place is called? or are you just considering the locations of these areas? What I do is I use console and do "tmm 1" which gives me all map markers (bear with me here). This is because I don't like to know what the location is called when I stumble upon it and so I use "tmm 1" so that the names don't blow up in my face whenever I stumble upon a place. I also use a physical map of skyrim and when I stumble upon a tomb or a fort or something, I'd label on my map (with pencil) "Fort" or "Tomb" and then at the end of the day or something when I go to a tavern or inn, or jarlhouse. I would open up my in-game map and look for the place that I found, then I would write down the actual name of the place (I only do this in taverns and jarlhouses because these are usually places where you can gain information about locations). Other than that I never open the in game map. Its a LITTLE bit tedious but it does add to immersion A LOT. And once you've located a lot of locations its very satisfying to look at your physical map and marvel at all the places you've found.
