dragon breath massive fps drop!

when dragons breath on me, fps drop to 20-25 which is unplayable for me

fps is capped at 30 by dxtory, but this still happens without cap

also still happens with vsync off

I know this is cause by particle effects but the only way to prevent from dropping below 30 fps is to set iMaxDesired=5 which makes particle effects really ugly and barely visible

Also, the graphics settings are already really low so i really don't want to lower them

 

my crappy computer has core i3 540, 4gb ram, amd mobility radeon hd 4670 256mb vram
