Tehandyman
So as most of you know by now, any kills your follower perform automatically go to you and are added to your -People Killed- category on the stats menu This is a horrible mechanic as I want my kills to be MY KILLS and not someone else giving me credit for THEIR kill. Also this would be great for anyone going for a no-kill playthrough and would rather have followers and mercenaries do their chopping for them. So please if someone could make it so that your followers kills don't count as your kills that would be great. Wh173c0c0
Oh yes please, I would love to see this happen. The whole "their kills count" thing made my "no people killed" playthrough on Xbox a chore, to say the least. I remember that when I did it though, Barbas' kills did not count for some reason. Because he's a dog? Because he is a temporary companion? I don't know, but maybe there is something special about one of those things. Seems like something you might be able to find out in the Construction Kit*. I don't know if normal dogs kills count or not, but assuming they don't, you could make a tough (not overpowered, unless you want to) companion dog and just hire like 5 of them using a mod that lets you. Not a perfect solution, but it might work.Otherwise, I hope that there is a fix for this. It's not a super huge deal, but it's pretty silly that it is there in the first place. I mean, really? My friend kills someone/something, so clearly it's my kill? Huh?*I can't find this out for myself since I don't own the game on PC yet.*
Tehandyman
No, dog kills count as your kills sadly. I had a no kill playthrough going, I found a stray dog. He proceeded to kill multiple people over the span of a few hours without me realizing that his kills also counted as mine. Had to reload back 3 hours of gameplay -____- Edited May 28, 2013 by Tehandyman
Wh173c0c0
=( *Sad face*Dang, I know Barbas' kills didn't count for me when I last played (though that was the non-patched 360 version, over a year ago). I know that enemies affected by fury/rage spells don't count, but that really isn't a perfect solution since someone still needs to kill the last one of them. =\ Last time I played, the explosion from the "Flaming familiar" spell didn't count as a kill. The explosion/burning damage didn't count, but if the wolf/familiar killed them by biting, it would. Kind of risky, but it worked for me (unless it has been patched out.) Other than that, I just hope there is a mod or special kind of companion that is exempt.
Tehandyman
Yeah no kill playthroughs are really fun. I enjoy attacking giants and making them follow me everywhere and protect me from bandits and thieves lmaoo.
