Im making of pack of "passive" mods that you can just install right away quickly to get going. What i mean by passive is that they dont add items, armor, or weapons to the game they simply add to the game by making better textures, patches like the Unofficial oblivion patch, and animation replacers and such aswell as body replacers, a new leveling system, obse, and a race that comes complete with many eyes and hair styles from other races. Heres some that i got so far: Animation- DMC StylishStylish JumpSephs H2H replacerspellsingerPersonality Idles Oblivion System Upgrades- Unofficial Oblivion PatchOblivion Script ExtenderGalerions Natural LevelingImmersive Health Indicator Body replacers- Exnem Eyecandy Nude (Not HGEC)Roberts Male Body V4 Race- Modified Lattimer race with hair and eyes from corean, cernasite, and manga eyes Textures- Elven Map ReduxEnhanced Magic EffectsBlue Will-O-Wisp (Cause i hate the Original) Extra- I was thinking of putting some items in a store that i myself use (they may be modified to my liking) Ive thought of adding other things like Deadly reflexes but im trying to stick with things ive used or that won't affect performance too much. Id be quite delighted if i could get some constructive critsism and ideas on this and to see if people would be intersted in something like this. Also i havent recieved permission of use for any of these mods yet so if anyone who owns one of these tells me if i can or cant use their mod here it would be appreciated. Thx. PS: A catchy name idea is most welcome aswell.Make sure you get permissions for such a pack. I would also include Beautiful People, possibly seeing if you can merge the race mods together. Might want to include a 2048x2048 LOD replacer. Might want to include one of the grass mods which makes terrain grasses either shorter or less abundant. Might want to include one of those mods which makes under water more visible (better imperfect water). From my own mods; I would be tempted to suggest my Smarter Timescale mod, which changes the game to use a 15-1 timescale instead of the normal 30-1, and makes a few adjustments to some quest scripts to work with any timescale.http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=5859 I would also be tempted to suggest my combat tweaks mod. It's a mod which is entirely setting based, and adjusts melee combat damage and the health of leveled creatures. I havn't had any reason to make adjustments to the file for my own personal needs since it was created over 2 years ago, despite having installed OOO, Frans, MMM, and several other mods in that time. I haven't really considered lanscaping mods before so thatll be something to add. I actually already had beautiful people, i just forgot to put it in my list. water was something i completely forgot about, i should definetly find something to use there. Ive looked at your mod and it seems to fit quite well, i hope by suggesting it you have given me permission to use it. Of course, any more ideas are always welcome. Vagrant0 Posted February 5, 2009 Share Posted February 5, 2009 What you might also want to consider doing is adding some optional saved games. Much of the hassle of reinstalling Oblivion, or even starting with a clean data folder is that you end up having to go through the tutorial, or the main quest every time.
