Animation
All, I fell in love with the Mechanist armor and helmet. I used GECK to make a mod with a copy of both, but with the armor ratings doubled just to extend the longevity of the armor through the game because I LOVE its look. My renamed copy of the Mechanist Armor looks 100% correct on my body. My renamed copy of the Mechanist HELMET is totally jacked up, even though I've verified it is identical in every way to the original (other than ID, Name, and Armor value). Basically, the open part of the helmet that you'd stick your head in ... its embedded deeply in my character's head. The top of the mechanist helmet copy points out to the side, like a single earmuff. The eyes of the helmet still face forward. Anyway, it is freaking me out. Is this a known issue? Can anyone duplicate the problem? In a worst case scenario, I'll only have the Armor duplicated and upgraded, but I'd really like the helmet to look right since I want my inventory to say "Mad Science Helmet" instead of "Mechanist Helmet". Help! and Thanks!
PimpBot420
Open up your mod in the GECK. Select the Characters tab and somewhere near the bottom of the list is an option named "Update FaceGEN Model Availability." Click that, save your mod, and your hat should be sitting properly. Just remember to place the hat in someone's inventory or the Update FaceGEN command might not work.
Animation
Weird. So, I need to edit a character in the universe and give them the item (in the editor) and then run that command? Can I then take it off of them? I intended to be a player.additem kinda deal for now, since I had already started my game. Thanks!
PimpBot420
I'm not 100% sure about placing it in someone's inventory first. Everytime I've used the FaceGEN command it has worked as it's supposed to, but the person who posted the trick also added on "If it doesn't work, try placing it in someone's inventory first." (I'd reference the post, but it's been too long and I have no idea which one it is.) But in the interest of getting you the information, I figured it best to include the inventory part, just in case. zip2k4
i might know what the problem is, did you put the status of the equip as head or hair? because i forgot how i mixed mine, but uh, when i did it - the head is like crushed bent at a 90 degree angle it's like some1 broke his neck. so yea, maybe that? i couldn't be sure as it's easier if i can get a hold of the data and just fix it for u :
Animation
I had it exactly as the original helmet, which works fine. Anyway, the trick suggested worked and now my modded version of the helmet works perfectly. Thanks all!
